Reyes isn't starting Monday against the Twins.

Reyes is getting a breather after he went 5-for-15 with two doubles, a run, a walk and six strikeouts over the last four games. Owen Miller will serve as the designated hitter and batting seventh.

Buxton went 3-for-3 with a double, a triple, an RBI and three runs scored in Sunday's victory over the Rockies.

All Buxton needed for the cycle was a home run, but he still contributed several runs to the Twins' win Sunday. He scored on a Max Kepler single in the first inning and a double in the seventh, as well as Carlos Correa sac fly in the second. After struggling to a .169 batting average in May, the outfielder has been in MVP form in June, slashing .308/.400/.800. Sunday's three-hit performance brought his season batting average up to .238.

Blackmon went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Sunday's loss to the Twins.

Blackmon launched his 12th home run of the season in Sunday's contest. After going on a seven game hit streak, the veteran outfielder went hitless in his last three. After struggling to a .228 batting average in May, Blackmon has done much better in June, slashing .286/.317/.510, bringing his season batting average to .258.

Winker was ejected from Sunday's game against the Angels in the second inning after he was involved in a benches-clearing brawl, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Adam Frazier came on to pinch run for Winker, who charged toward the Angels bench after he was hit by a pitch during his first plate appearance of the day. In the ensuing brawl, multiple Mariners and Angels players were seen throwing punches, though it's unclear if Winker was one of them. MLB will likely review footage of the brawl over the next day or two before determining if Winker or any other Mariners and Angels players will be subject to fines or suspension. Angels starter Andrew Wantz -- who hit Winker with the pitch -- was also ejected after the game resumed following an 18-minute delay.

Brantley was removed in the top of the eighth inning of Sunday's game against the Yankees with right shoulder discomfort, Julia Morales of AT&T SportsNet Southwest reports. He went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts prior to departing.

Brantley was serving as the Astros' designated hitter for the series finale in New York, so his shoulder discomfort must have surfaced at some point during one of his plate appearances earlier in the game. J.J. Matijevic entered the game as a replacement for Brantley, who can be viewed as day-to-day heading into Tuesday's series opener with the Mets.

Ruf will serve as the Giants' designated hitter and No. 7 batter in Sunday's game against the Reds, Evan Webeck of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

With Brandon Crawford (knee) joining LaMonte Wade (knee) and Luis Gonzalez (back) on the injured list Sunday, Ruf appears to be one of the beneficiaries of added playing time. He'll pick up his fifth consecutive start Sunday after going 4-for-16 with a home run, three runs and two RBI across his previous four contests.

Mercedes was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento on Sunday, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

The 29-year-old was claimed off waivers from the White Sox last weekend and has been called up by the Giants with Brandon Crawford (knee) headed to the injured list. Mercedes is unlikely to see significant playing time but should have some opportunities between first base, left field and designated hitter.

The Phillies placed Harper (thumb) on the 10-day injured list Sunday.

Harper suffered a fractured left thumb Saturday when he was struck by a 97 mile-per-hour fastball, so his move to the IL was a foregone conclusion. The Phillies have yet to provide a timeline for his return, but for the time being the reigning NL MVP should be considered out indefinitely while surgery remains a possibility, according to Alex Coffey of The Philadelphia Inquirer. Mickey Moniak was recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley in a corresponding move. With Harper out, Nick Castellanos is likely to operate as Philadelphia's primary designated hitter, leaving Odubel Herrera, Matt Vierling and Moniak to split time between center and right field.

Winker went 2-for-4 with a bases-loaded walk in a win over the Angels on Saturday.

Winker knotted the game at 2-2 in the sixth inning by displaying a discerning eye at the plate with the bases loaded. The multi-hit effort was also the fourth in the last five games for the ascending outfielder, who's now sporting an eye-popping .625 on-base percentage over the 24 plate appearances he's logged over that span.

Vogelbach is out of the lineup for Sunday's game at Tampa Bay, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.

Vogelbach has a .364 OPS in 52 plate appearances against left-handed pitching this season, and he'll head to the bench Sunday with southpaw Shane McClanahan on the mound for the Rays. Bryan Reynolds will rest his legs as the designated hitter while Jack Suwinski starts in center field.
