Buxton isn't starting Monday against the Tigers.

Buxton is resting after he went 5-for-18 with three homers, a double, five runs, three RBI and a stolen base over the last five games. Nick Gordon will take over in center field and bat seventh.

Beer was recalled from Triple-A Reno on Monday.

Beer has played for Reno since being optioned there in mid-May, but he will get another chance at the top level after posting a 1.044 OPS over his last 26 Triple-A contests. Beer will serve as Arizona's designated hitter Monday night and is the favorite to be the primary option at that spot moving forward.

Carpenter isn't starting Monday against the Mariners.

Carpenter has started against just five left-handed pitchers this year and is getting a breather with southpaw Marco Gonzales on the mound for Seattle. Aaron Judge is shifting to right field while Aaron Hicks starts in center.

Vogelbach is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Nationals.

Left-hander Patrick Corbin will start Monday for the Nationals, so Vogelbach will open on the bench and J.D. Davis will serve as the designated hitter. As things stand, it looks like the two will work in a platoon at that position, with Vogelbach getting the favorable side against right-handed starting pitchers.

Vogelbach went 2-for-4 with a run scored in a 9-3 win over the Marlins on Sunday.

Vogelbach's fantasy value rose considerably with his trade to the Mets, and on Sunday he found himself batting cleanup for one of the best offenses in the NL. He tallied two hits to reward Buck Showalter for the vote of confidence. Since coming over from the Pirates, Vogelbach has raised his batting average by nine points to .237 in only six games.

Canha went 3-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored in a 9-3 win over the Marlins on Sunday.

Canha joined in on the barrage of hits which ousted Marlins starter Pablo Lopez from the game. He racked up three singles while also swiping his second base of the year. Despite not hitting for much power, Canha has performed well out of the bottom of the Mets lineup this year and is slashing .271/.368/.380 on the season for his new team.

Ohtani went 2-for-2 with a triple, a run, two walks and a caught stealing in a 5-2 loss to the Rangers on Sunday.

Ohtani tripled and scored in the first inning, walked and was caught stealing second in the third, singled in the fifth and walked again in the seventh for his fifth occasion reaching base four times this season and first since June 28. The 28-year-old closes July on a high note -- going 3-for-6 with a home run, a triple and three walks in his last two games -- though he slashed a modest .224/.360/.459 with six home runs, 12 runs, 13 RBI and three stolen bases in 25 games overall during the month.

Winker went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 3-2 extra-inning loss to the Astros.

Winker took Astros reliever Ryne Stanek deep in the eighth inning to tie the game at 2-2. Over his last 11 games, Winker has found himself in a 6-for-35 (.171) funk, but injuries to Julio Rodriguez (wrist) and Dylan Moore (back) should secure the veteran's role in the everyday lineup. Winker is slashing .226/.336/.349 with nine homers, 37 RBI, 31 runs scored and 14 doubles through 93 contests.

Reyes went 1-for-5 with a stolen base and a run scored in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Rays.

Reyes isn't known for his speed, but he singled, moved to second on an Andres Gimenez walk, stole third and scored on an Austin Hedges single in the fifth inning. Both of Reyes' steals this season have come in July, a month in which the designated hitter batted .230 (23-for-100) with nine extra-base hits, 12 RBI and 12 runs scored. For the season, he's slashing .214/.254/.351 with nine home runs, 28 RBI, 24 runs scored and nine doubles in 279 plate appearances.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Sunday that Stanton (Achilles) should be cleared to start baseball activities "early this week," Erik Boland of Newsday reports.

Stanton, who is recovering from left Achilles tendinitis, will be eligible to come off the injured list Wednesday, but it looks as though he'll need more than the minimum amount of time to recover from the injury and get fully ramped back up. Assuming Boone's prediction comes to pass, a weekend activation could be a possibility for Stanton, though the Yankees are more likely to wait until the following week to bring the slugger back. The team's recent acquisition of Andrew Benintendi lessens the need for the Yankees to rush Stanton back at less than 100 percent.
