Orioles' Dietrich Enns: Dealt to Baltimore
Enns was traded from the Tigers to the Rays in exchange for cash considerations Thursday.

Carlos Hernandez RP | CLE
Guardians' Carlos Hernandez: Claimed by Guardians
The Guardians claimed Hernandez off waivers from the Tigers on Thursday, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.
Hernandez was pushed off the Tigers' 40-man roster last Thursday after surrendering 13 runs (12 earned) in just 10.2 innings. He'll now reclaim a 40-man roster spot upon moving to the Guardians organization, though he'll likely have to redeem himself in Triple-A before he gets another shot in the bigs.

Jonathan Loaisiga RP | NYY
Yankees' Jonathan Loaisiga: Picks up first save
Loaisiga earned the save in Thursday's 7-4 win over the Rays, allowing one hit and logging a strikeout in a scoreless ninth inning.
With both Devin Williams and Luke Weaver having pitched Wednesday, it was Loaisiga who got the call in the ninth inning Thursday to close out a three-run lead. The right-hander managed to work around a Matt Thaiss lead-off double to pick up his first save since 2022. Loaisiga has been solid of late, delivering six straight scoreless appearances (4.2 innings). However, he's unlikely to see many save chances going forward, as the Yankees added both David Bednar and Camilo Doval at the trade deadline to fortify the back end of their bullpen.

Camilo Doval RP | NYY
Yankees' Camilo Doval: Dealt to Yankees
Doval was traded from the Giants to the Yankees on Thursday in exchange for Jesus Rodriguez, Parks Harber and Trystan Vrieling, Jack Curry of YES Network reports.
Doval had been the Giants' closer for the past couple months, but he hadn't recorded a save since July 11. Now that he joins a loaded Yankees bullpen, Doval will likely have to settle for opportunities in the seventh and eighth innings.

Phil Maton RP | CHC
Rangers' Phil Maton: Shipped to Texas
Maton was traded from the Cardinals to the Rangers on Thursday in exchange for Skylar Hales, Mason Molina and international bonus pool money, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.
The Cardinals dealt all their high-leverage relievers, so Maton's brief time atop the closer depth chart in St. Louis comes to an end. Robert Garcia is the incumbent in Texas, and he has had a lot of recent success, so Maton should return to a setup role.

Louie Varland SP | TOR
Blue Jays' Louis Varland: Acquired by Toronto
The Blue Jays acquired Varland and Ty France from the Twins on Thursday in exchange for Alan Roden and Kendry Rojas, Mitch Bannon of The Athletic reports.
Varland has worked as a full-time reliever this season for the first time in his professional career, and he's transitioned to the role flawlessly with a 2.02 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 47:13 K:BB across 49 innings. The right-hander should be in the high-leverage mix for Toronto but isn't likely to be a consistent candidate for saves.

Griffin Jax RP | TB
Rays' Griffin Jax: Traded to Rays
The Rays acquired Jax from the Twins on Thursday in exchange for Taj Bradley, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Jax briefly appeared poised to step in as Minnesota's closer after Jhoan Duran was dealt on Wednesday, but the Twins instead fully committed to being deadline sellers. Jax had been operating has a setup man and is likely to fill the same role in Tampa Bay, though closer Pete Fairbanks' 5.79 ERA in his past nine outings could provide a path to saves.

Tyson Neighbors RP | BAL
Orioles' Tyson Neighbors: Traded to Baltimore
The Padres traded Neighbors to the Orioles on Thursday as part of the package for Ramon Laureano and Ryan O'Hearn, Dennis Lin of The Athletic reports. The Orioles also received Brandon Butterworth, Victor Figueroa, Cobb Hightower, Boston Bateman and Tanner Smith in return.
Neighbors has flown up the Padres' farm system since being drafted last season, and he currently boasts a 3.13 ERA with a 1.04 WHIP and a 27:13 K:BB through 23 innings in Double-A. The 22-year-old righty will aim to continue his fast ascent through the minors with the Orioles, though his MLB debut will likely have to wait until next season.

Danny Coulombe RP | TEX
Rangers' Danny Coulombe: Dealt to Rangers
The Rangers acquired Coulombe from the Twins on Thursday in exchange for Garrett Horn.
Coulombe turned himself into a nice trade chip for the Twins by posting a 1.16 ERA and 31:9 K:BB over 31 innings. The southpaw is effective against both left- and right-handed hitters and should help fill a setup role in Texas.

Jacob Bird RP | NYY
Yankees' Jake Bird: Traded to Yankees
The Yankees acquired Bird from the Rockies on Thursday in exchange for Roc Riggio and Ben Shields, Jack Curry of YES Network reports.
Bird has had a rough July, allowing 15 runs (14 earned) with a 5:4 K:BB over 6.1 innings. However, he entered the month with a 2.68 ERA and 57:19 K:BB over 47 frames, and the Yankees are betting he'll be closer to the latter version. Bird also comes with team control through the 2028 campaign.
