Campbell (elbow) is scheduled to start High-A Everett's season opener Friday versus Eugene, Everett radio broadcaster Pat Dillon reports.

Campbell didn't pitch after June 4 last season due to a right elbow injury that later required arthroscopic surgery, but it looks as though he's back to full strength heading into 2022. The 24-year-old will be returning to Everett after he submitted a 2.33 ERA and 0.99 WHIP across 19.1 innings with the affiliate last season before being shut down.

Bachman will open the season on the minor-league 7-day injured list due to back spasms, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.

The Angels haven't announced an official assignment for Bachman, but he's expected to report to Double-A Rocket City after finishing the 2021 campaign at High-A Tri-City. In five outings for Tri-City spanning 14.1 innings, the 22-year-old righty gave up six earned runs on 13 hits and four walks while striking out 15. The Angels have described his placement on the IL as precautionary, so he shouldn't be out much longer than the minimum seven days.

Jimenez's contract was selected by the Athletics on Thursday, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

After spending all of 2021 at Triple-A Buffalo, Jimenez will be available to make his first major-league appearance since logging two relief outings with the Giants in 2020. As a non-roster invitee this spring, he posted a 1.50 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 7:4 K:BB across six innings.

The Athletics placed Honeywell (elbow) on the 60-day injured list Thursday, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Honeywell is without an official timeline to return after suffering a stress reaction of his right elbow in late March, but his move to the 60-day IL ensures he won't be making his Athletics debut for at least another two months. The transaction opens up a spot on the 40-man roster for reliever Justin Grimm.

Criswell (shoulder) was placed on the 10-day injured list Monday.

Criswell has been dealing with shoulder inflammation since mid-March and will be unavailable to begin the regular season. He doesn't yet have a timetable for his return, and he isn't guaranteed a major-league roster spot once healthy.

Ortega has earned a spot in the Angels' Opening Day bullpen, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.

Ortega was one of several Angels relievers competing for a bullpen role to begin the year, and he'll work in a low-leverage role early in the 2022 season. The 25-year-old made eight major-league appearances last year and posted a 4.82 ERA and 1.50 WHIP in 9.1 innings.

Fairbanks (lat) was placed on the 60-day injured list Thursday, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

Fairbanks is expected to miss at least three months after he was diagnosed with a 50 percent tear of his lat muscle last week. Andrew Kittredge is a favorite to see save chances to begin the year, while a better timetable for Fairbanks' return will likely come into focus once his six-week shutdown from throwing concludes.

Winder has officially made Minnesota's Opening Day roster.

Winder was a leading candidate for a rotation spot until the Twins acquired Chris Archer and Chris Paddack late in spring training. Winder will work in long relief initially, likely coming in if a starter has a reduced workload. The 25-year-old's long-term outlook is still that of a starter, so he could move to the rotation at Triple-A St. Paul once MLB rosters are reduced back to 26 players May 1.

Clarke made the Royals' Opening Day roster, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Clarke signed a one-year contract with the Royals in December, so it's not much of a surprise he's on the roster. The 29-year-old reliever posted a 4.98 ERA, 1.52 WHIP, 39:14 K:BB, 1-3 record and seven holds in 43 appearances for the Diamondbacks last season. With the Royals' bullpen strong at the back end, Clarke should figure to see mostly low-leverage assignments to begin 2022.

Coleman made the Royals' Opening Day roster, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

The 25-year-old right-hander got his first taste of major-league action last season, allowing one run on five hits and a walk with seven strikeouts in 6.1 innings. Coleman made the Opening Day roster because fellow reliever Joel Payamps (personal) was placed on the family medical emergency list. As such, Coleman will need to hit the ground running if he's to retain a spot in the big-league bullpen. He was solid with a 3.55 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 56:17 K:BB while logging a 4-0 record and three saves with Triple-A Omaha in the latter half of last season.
