Yankees manager Aaron Boone indicated Saturday that Chapman could have a second hearing on the appeal of his suspension, potentially delaying it until next season, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Chapman was suspended three games in early September for throwing a fastball over Mike Brosseau's head near the end of a win over Tampa Bay. The veteran subsequently appealed the suspension, and it looks as though the matter will take longer than anticipated to be resolved. If Chapman's potential suspension does carry over to next season, that is good news for fantasy managers who have rostered Chapman and could otherwise be faced with losing the closer for nearly half of the final week of the campaign.

Mengden was reinstated from the COVID-19 injured list Sunday and subsequently designated for assignment by the A's.

The right-hander landed on the COVID-19 IL in early September and was recently cleared to return to the alternate training site, but he won't retain his spot on the 40-man roster. Mengden appeared in four games this season and had a 3.65 ERA, 1.70 WHIP and 10:7 K:BB across 12.1 innings.

Foster (5-0) struck out two and retired all six batters faced to earn the win Saturday against the Reds.

Foster came on for starter Dallas Keuchel, who lasted just four innings in his return from a back injury. It was the eighth time in 19 appearances Foster has thrown more than an inning, including two outings as an opener. Foster has been one of several gems out of Chicago's bullpen and sports a 1.88 ERA with 28 strikeouts over 24 innings.

Raley worked around a walk and struck out two over a scoreless eighth inning to earn his sixth hold in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Diamondbacks.

The left-handed Raley got the benefit of facing three left-handed batters in the inning. The Diamondbacks are in pure evaluation mode in September, so they let three young, lefty batters hit against Raley, who is holding lefties to a .133 average. He's scoreless over his last three outings, earning two holds and a save during that run.

Lopez (2-1) was tagged with the loss Saturday against Tampa Bay, pitching six innings and allowing three runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out five.

Lopez notched his second straight quality start in the contest, but a lack of run support led to his first loss of the campaign. The right-hander was stung by a pair of Rays home runs, the second of which -- a two-run shot off the bat of Randy Arozarena in the fifth inning -- proved to be the difference in the low-scoring affair. Lopez will carry a 5.11 ERA into his next start, currently scheduled for Friday at Toronto.

Martin (0-1) gave up an unearned run on a hit and a walk in one inning to take the loss Saturday versus the Angels.

Jared Walsh reached on an error in the eighth inning, allowing David Fletcher to move into scoring position. Martin then allowed an RBI single to Mike Trout for the Angels' go-ahead run. That sequence won't hurt Martin's ERA, which sits at 1.50 to go with a 1.17 WHIP and two holds in 12 innings this year.

Mayers (2-0) was perfect over two innings, striking out three and earning the win Saturday versus the Rangers.

Mayers worked the eighth and ninth innings and became the pitcher of record when Mike Trout hit a go-ahead RBI single in the bottom of the eighth. The 28-year-old Mayers has walked just two walks while striking out 14 in his last 11.2 innings. He has a 1.80 ERA, 0.80 WHIP and 36:6 K:BB as well as four holds in 25 innings this year.

Cisnero (3-3) retired both of the batters he faced and picked up the win Saturday against Cleveland.

Cisnero retired the final two batters in the top of the eighth inning, and the Tigers scored four times in the bottom of the frame to make the righty the pitcher of record. Cisnero has been solid for Detroit this season with a 3.38 ERA, three wins and 30 strikeouts across 26.2 innings.

Pressly struck out two in a perfect ninth inning to earn the save against the Diamondbacks on Saturday.

Pressly has been inconsistent of late, taking two losses in his last five appearances. However, he did not struggle at all Saturday, striking out a pair and retiring the side on 11 pitches to earn his 11th save. Overall, Pressly has maintained a 3.79 ERA and 26:7 K:BB across 19 frames this season.

Maton (2-3) allowed four runs on three hits and two walks while pitching just one-third of an inning in a 5-2 loss to the Tigers on Saturday.

Maton took the loss and tarnished strong work from the Cleveland bullpen after starter Triston McKenzie was pulled after four innings. After logging a 3.00 ERA through his first 19 appearances, Maton's ERA ballooned to 4.91 with Saturday's showing.
