Estevez allowed a hit and struck out one over a scoreless inning to earn the save in Monday's 3-1 win over the Giants.

Estevez earned his second save in as many days in this outing. He's logged 4.2 scoreless innings since allowing a run in one inning versus the White Sox on May 7. Estevez continues to hold things down in the closer role for the Royals, posting a 2.08 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 19:10 K:BB over 21.2 innings while converting 14 of 16 save chances. His walk rate has ticked back up toward the high end of his career range this year after he had trimmed it down to 2.0 BB/9 in the 2024 regular season, so he'll need to be careful when navigating traffic on the basepaths.

Chapman earned the save in Monday's 3-1 win against the Mets, allowing one hit and no walks in a scoreless inning with one strikeout.

The veteran southpaw succinctly retired the side on seven pitches, six of which were strikes, en route to his 342nd career save. Chapman continues to be a reliable source of strikeouts (13.0 K/9) despite struggling with walks (3.5 BB/9). Through 18 innings, the 37-year-old now sports a 2.00 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 26:7 K:BB while going a perfect 7-for-7 on save opportunities.

Akin will open Tuesday's game against the Brewers, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Akin has given up at least one run in three of six appearances so far this month, but he'll be tasked with handling the first inning or so of Tuesday's matchup before handing the ball to Chayce McDermott, who's set to serve as the primary pitcher.

Munoz struck out the only batter he faced and earned a save against the White Sox on Monday.

Munoz entered a 5-1 game with bases loaded and quickly shut things down by striking out Michael Taylor on four pitches. Munoz has yet to allow an earned run through 20.2 innings and has converted 15 of his 17 save opportunities. He improved his K:BB to 28:8 and has struck out at least one batter in 20 of his 21 appearances this season.

Hader threw a scoreless inning and earned a save against the Rays on Monday.

Hader had to deal with the speedy Chandler Simpson on base after he reached via catcher's interference to start the frame. Hader was able to retire the next three batters in order to close out the 4-3 victory. He's now converted each of his 12 save chances this season and lowered his ERA to 1.71 across 21 innings. Monday was Hader's first appearance without recording a strikeout since April 19.

Long is expected to begin a rehab assignment with the Royals' Arizona Complex League team Tuesday.

Long has missed over a month of action while dealing with left elbow inflammation, but he's now set to return to the mound officially. The reliever struggled to a 12.86 ERA and 2.43 WHIP with six strikeouts over seven innings in seven appearances with Kansas City this year, and once healthy, he'll likely return to a low-leverage role in the bullpen.

The Tigers recalled Lee from Triple-A Toledo on Monday, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

He's taking the roster spot vacated by Reese Olson (finger), who was placed on the 15-day injured list Monday. Lee has permitted only one run with a 9:4 K:BB over nine innings during his multiple stints in the majors this season.

The Angels reinstated Bachman (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list and optioned him to Triple-A Salt Lake on Monday.

Bachman started the season on the IL while he recovered from thoracic outlet syndrome, which prevented him from pitching in any Cactus League games during spring training. He was cleared to begin a rehab assignment at Single-A Inland Empire, with whom he made two one-inning appearances before heading to Triple-A. He's since made three one-inning relief appearances for Salt Lake and looks poised to remain in the Triple-A bullpen after he had been previously been utilized as a starter in the minors since the Angels selected him in the first round of the 2021 First-Year Player Draft.

Kelly (glute) will begin a rehab assignment in the rookie-level Florida Complex League on Tuesday, Ryan Bass of FanDuel Sports Network Sun reports.

Kelly is ready to pitch in games again after missing more than a month of action with a glute strain. He is expected to rejoin the Tampa Bay bullpen before the end of the month.

Astros manager Joe Espada said that Whitley (knee) is "a possibility" to be activated from the 15-day injured list during the team's three-game series with the Rays that begins Monday, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Whitley has made just one appearance with the Astros this season due to a pair of knee injuries, but he looked sharp in two recent rehab appearances with Triple-A Sugar Land, tossing two perfect innings with four strikeouts. Upon activation, the former top prospect is likely to be used in low-leverage relief spots initially.
