  • Alex Colome RP | CHW

Rays' Alex Colome: Saves 10th game against Angels

Colome picked up a save with a perfect 10th inning Friday against the Angels.

Colome has now saved each of his past six chances and is 26-for-30 on the season. That said, Colome has been far from clean over that stretch, having allowed three runs with a 5:4 K:BB over 6.1 innings. Either way, fantasy owners will gladly take the saves and run.

  • Drew Pomeranz RP | CHC

Red Sox's Drew Pomeranz: Fans seven in no-decision Friday

Pomeranz (9-4) allowed four runs on six hits and two walks while striking out seven across six innings, but received no decision Friday against the Yankees.

Pomeranz left the contest with a one-run deficit, but the offense bailed him out by scoring a pair of runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to take him off the hook for a potential loss. This was the first time he's allowed more than two earned runs in any of his last six starts, lowering his ERA from 4.48 to 3.75, and he's been a high-end fantasy starter for most of the past month. He'll make his next start Wednesday against the Blue Jays.

  • Yankees' Aroldis Chapman: Blows another save Friday

Chapman allowed two runs on two hits and one walk without retiring a batter to take the loss Friday against the Red Sox.

Chapman was protecting a one-run lead, and subsequently blew his third save over his last four chances. He's watched his ERA soar to 4.35 while his WHIP has risen to 1.45, and although he always has upside based on his long-term track record, he's certainly jangling the nerves of his fantasy owners.

  • Athletics' Kendall Graveman: Throws live batting practice

Graveman (shoulder) threw a live batting practice session in Arizona on Friday, Jane Lee of MLB.com reports.

Graveman is slowly progressing in his rehab, but the Athletics have still yet to have him pitch in either a simulated game or on a rehab assignment. As such, it's looking less and less likely that Graveman will be able to return to the rotation by the end of July. Expect him to need multiple rehab starts once he is ready to go.

  • Collin McHugh RP | ATL

Astros' Collin McHugh: Set for final rehab start

McHugh (elbow) will make his final rehab start Sunday with Double-A Corpus Christi, the Houston Chronicle reports.

McHugh has battled arm trouble since early in spring training, but he's down to one final hurdle on his road back to the big-league roster. He will attempt to build up to six innings and roughly 90 pitches Sunday with an eye toward returning next weekend in Baltimore. Joe Musgrove seems the most likely candidate to lose his rotation spot upon McHugh's activation.

  • Zack Burdi RP | LAD

White Sox's Zack Burdi: Likely headed for Tommy John surgery

Burdi has been diagnosed with a tear in his UCL and will likely need Tommy John surgery, JJ Stankevitz of CSN Chicago reports.

The hard-throwing right-hander, who many have pegged as the White Sox's closer of the future, will likely not pitch again in a competitive setting until 2019 if surgery is indeed necessary. Burdi has posted a 4.05 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 51:17 K:BB in 33.1 innings with Triple-A Charlotte this year. His brother, Nick Burdi, underwent Tommy John surgery earlier this season.

  • Miguel Almonte RP | LAA

Royals' Miguel Almonte: Recalled by Royals

Almonte was recalled by the Royals on Friday to replace Neftali Feliz, who was placed on the paternity list.

Feliz will only miss three days at the most, so Almonte will likely only be with the team through the weekend. The 24-year-old reliever allowed three earned runs in two appearances with the Royals earlier this season, but owns a minuscule 1.33 ERA and 1.03 WHIP over 40.2 innings in the minors this year.

  • Brian Johnson RP | BOS

Red Sox's Brian Johnson: Twirls gem to start second half

Johnson (3-1) allowed three hits and two walks while striking out two over seven scoreless innings for Triple-A Pawtucket on Thursday.

In his first start since being activated off the disabled list, Johnson kicked off the second half of the season in style. He needed just 90 pitches, throwing 57 of them for strikes, and lowered his ERA to 2.68. It was the left-hander at his best, hitting spots with his pedestrian fastball and throwing the curveball for strikes. Johnson will remain with the PawSox until the Red Sox need a spot starter or there's an injury in the parent club's rotation.

  • Danny Barnes RP | TOR

Blue Jays' Danny Barnes: Delivers in campaign's first half

Barnes made 32 first-half appearances, posting an impressive 2.31 ERA and 0.90 WHIP while notching 45 strikeouts over 29 innings.

Barnes stepped up with a strong pre-All-Star performance while the Jays' bullpen was in flux. The sophomore has held opponents scoreless in 14 of his last 15 outings while tallying a least one strikeout in all but three of those contests. Barnes will continue to see plenty of high-leverage opportunities during the second half.

  • Bryan Shaw RP | CIN

Indians' Bryan Shaw: Targeting fourth straight 20-hold season

Shaw wrapped up his first half of 2017 with a 2.81 ERA, 11 holds and two saves over 42 games.

Since becoming an Indian in 2013, Shaw has made more appearances (341) than any other MLB reliever. He's on pace to log 20-plus holds for a fourth consecutive season, making him roster-worthy in deeper leagues that reward such performances. However, Shaw's 7.8 K/9 is well below last year's 9.3 mark, and the 29-year-old's 3.9 BB/9 is a career worst.
