  • Sean Guenther RP | DET

Tigers' Sean Guenther: Logs two scoreless innings Sunday

Guenther tossed two scoreless innings of relief in Sunday's 7-0 win over the Orioles. He allowed one hit and struck out three.

After starter Tarik Skubal tossed six scoreless innings, Guenther followed it up with two scoreless frames of his own. It was only the second MLB appearance of the year for the lefty reliever, who was recalled from Triple-A Toledo on Friday and dealt with a back injury earlier in the season. Guenther was effective in 2024 for the Tigers, posting a 0.86 ERA across 21 regular-season innings, and he could see his role grow if he continues to pitch well out of the bullpen.

  • Andres Munoz RP | SEA

Mariners' Andres Munoz: Up to 10 saves

Munoz earned the save in Sunday's 7-6 win over the Marlins, tossing a perfect ninth inning while recording a strikeout.

Munoz retired the top of the Marlins' order on nine pitches to pick up his 10th save and move into a tie with Robert Suarez atop the league. Munoz hasn't let up a run all season while sporting an 0.79 WHIP and 18:6 K:BB in 14 innings.

  • Luke Jackson RP | SEA

Rangers' Luke Jackson: Stuck with loss

Jackson (0-3) took the loss in Sunday's 3-2 defeat to the Giants, allowing an unearned run on one hit while failing to record an out.

Jackson entered in the ninth trying to preserve a 2-2 tie and send the game to extra innings. His outing lasted one pitch as Heliot Ramos reached on an infield single and then turned it into a little-league homer thanks to two throwing errors by the Rangers. It was the second loss for Jackson in his last three appearances, but he's still converted eight of nine save chances and has a 3.38 ERA and 1.22 WHIP this year.

  • Bryse Wilson RP | MIL

White Sox's Bryse Wilson: Staying in rotation Tuesday

Wilson is scheduled to start Tuesday's game against the Brewers at Rate Field.

Following Martin Perez's (shoulder) placement on the injured list April 19, Wilson moved from the bullpen to fill the vacant spot in the rotation. He made his first start of the season last Wednesday, covering 2.2 innings (55 pitches) and allowing one earned run on five hits and three walks in a no-decision against the Twins. Wilson should be able to push up his pitch count a bit in his second start, and a strong showing against the Brewers would help his case for earning a more permanent stay in the rotation.

  • Yankees' Yerry De Los Santos: Returns to Triple-A

De Los Santos was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre following Sunday's doubleheader with the Blue Jays.

De Los Santos was called up Sunday to operate as the team's 27th man versus Toronto, tossing two scoreless innings and allowing three hits while striking out one batter in the team's 11-2 Game 1 win. The appearance out of the bullpen was his first in the big leagues since 2023 with the Pirates, and he'll now wait for his next chance to join the Yankees down the road this season.

  • Jordan Leasure RP | CHW

White Sox's Jordan Leasure: Blows save, suffers loss

Leasure (0-2) blew the save and took the loss in Sunday's extra-inning game with the Athletics. He allowed two runs (one earned) on a hit and no walks in one-third of an inning.

Leasure was called upon to close out a 2-1 lead in the 10th inning. The Chicago reliever struck out JJ Bleday before allowing a walk-off, two-run homer on his first pitch to Luis Urias. Since the White Sox have only seven wins, it has been difficult to determine who is the team's closer. However, given the opportunity he was given in this game, Leasure still remains in the saves mix. He currently sports a 4.50 ERA, 1.80 WHIP and 14:7 K:BB across 10 innings while surrendering three homers.

  • Erik Swanson RP | TOR

Blue Jays' Erik Swanson: Starting rehab stint

Swanson (forearm) will report to Single-A Dunedin to begin a rehab assignment Tuesday, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Swanson has been sidelined for the first month of the season due to carpal tunnel syndrome in his forearm, but he's now been cleared for game action in the minors. The right-hander will likely require a handful of appearances before being ready to make his season debut for the Blue Jays.

  • Tayler Saucedo RP | LAA

Mariners' Tayler Saucedo: Returns to Triple-A

The Mariners optioned Saucedo to Triple-A Tacoma on Sunday.

The left-hander was called up by Seattle on Saturday and will return to Tacoma after firing a scoreless inning during a 14-0 victory. Saucedo has given up four earned runs in his four major-league outings this year and is unlikely to fill more than a middle-relief role if he receives another look with the Mariners.

  • Rangers' Gerson Garabito: Demoted Sunday

The Rangers optioned Garabito to Triple-A Round Rock on Sunday.

The right-hander was called up by Texas on Thursday but will return to Triple-A without making an appearance in the majors. Garabito gave up eight earned runs over eight innings during his previous stint with the Rangers this year.

  • Kaleb Ort RP | LAA

Astros' Kaleb Ort: Reinstated from IL

The Astros activated Ort (oblique) from the 15-day injured list Sunday, Julia Morales of AT&T SportsNet Southwest reports.

The right-hander will take the roster spot of Forrest Whitley, who was placed on the IL due to a knee sprain. Ort has been sidelined since the start of spring training but is ready to join the Astros after allowing two earned runs with a 5:5 K:BB in seven minor-league rehab appearances.
