Burr was traded from the Phillies to the Blue Jays on Thursday, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Burr last pitched in the majors in 2022, though he had an impressive 2023 season in the Rays' organization. He's also maintained a 2.16 ERA and 1.17 WHIP with a 29:5 K:BB across 16.2 innings with Triple-A Lehigh Valley so far in the current campaign. Burr will likely report to Triple-A Buffalo initially, but he should have a chance to contribute to the big-league bullpen if he can maintain his current level of success.

Duran picked up the save Thursday against the Royals, allowing two unearned runs on a hit and a walk in the ninth inning.

Protecting a three-run lead in the ninth inning, Duran would allow a pair of runs on Bobby Witt's two-out single following a walk and a Carlos Santana error. However, Duran would coax a game-ending groundout from Vinnie Pasquantino, earning his ninth save in as many chances to open the year. While he's been a bit shaky of late, Duran's now gone five appearances (4.1 innings) without allowing an earned run. His ERA is down to 3.21 with a 1.21 WHIP despite him averaging just 8.36 K/9, down from his career mark of 11.63.

Manager Mark Kotsay said Thursday that Erceg will be placed on the 15-day injured list due to forearm tightness, Brian Murphy of MLB.com reports.

With a 2.86 ERA and 1.00 WHIP through 22 innings, Erceg has emerged as a quality setup man for closer Mason Miller this season. However, a forearm injury will keep him on the shelf until at least mid-June. Austin Adams, who has also been effective so far this season, is the likely choice to take on the role of Oakland's main setup man while Erceg is sidelined.

The Yankees recalled Morris from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Thursday.

Morris was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on April 25 after not making an appearance following his call-up April 20. The last time he threw a pitch in the majors was in 2023 for Cleveland. The 27-year-old has a 2.82 ERA in Tripe-A this season across 22.1 innings in 13 games. In a corresponding move, Clarke Schmidt (lat) was placed on the 15-day injured list

Baumann (2-0) got the win in an extra-inning victory over the Astros on Wednesday, firing a perfect 10th inning.

Just traded to the Mariners from the Orioles on May 22, Baumann was making his second appearance in a Seattle uniform Wednesday and was called on in the 10th after closer Andres Munoz had already worked the ninth. Baumann nearly got through the inning on a minimum number of pitches, locating all five pitches for strikes while retiring Chas McCormick, Victor Caratini and Jose Altuve. The veteran right-hander then became the pitcher of record when J.P. Crawford hit a walk-off sacrifice fly in the home half of the frame, giving Baumann his first win since April 10 in what was his fifth straight scoreless appearance.

Kelly (2-2) took the loss against the Rays on Wednesday, allowing an earned run on two hits over one-third of an inning.

Kelly located six of his nine pitches for strikes, but he allowed a leadoff double to Amed Rosario and an eventual walk-off RBI single to Jose Siri in what was a quick Rays game-winning rally. The right-hander saw an eight-appearance streak of not allowing an earned run snapped with the stumble, but Kelly retains an impressive 2.70 ERA and 1.17 WHIP across 30 innings (26 appearances) this season.

Suarez is scheduled to start Friday's game against the Rays at Camden Yards, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Suarez will get a second straight turn through the rotation after he returned to a starting role Saturday against the White Sox and struck out three over four scoreless innings in a no-decision. Because he had been working out of the bullpen throughout May before slotting back into the rotation last weekend, Suarez was lifted after just 80 pitches, but he should be able to provide the Orioles with more length Friday. Suarez will likely stick around in the rotation until the Orioles get one of John Means (forearm) or Dean Kremer (triceps) back from the 15-day injured list.

Adams (neck) recorded one out and gave up one hit and one walk in a relief appearance during Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Rays.

Adams was lifted early in his prior appearance Saturday against the Astros due to neck tightness, but the issue wasn't serious enough to warrant a stint on the injured list. The 33-year-old righty owns a 2.55 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 25:8 K:BB in 17.2 innings out of the Oakland bullpen this season and has collected 12 holds.

The Royals optioned Hernandez to Triple-A Omaha on Thursday.

Hernandez didn't make his season debut for the Royals until last week after recovering from a shoulder injury and has allowed one run with a 1:3 K:BB over 2.2 innings covering four appearances. He'll likely be back with the big club sooner rather than later, but the Royals needed to free up a roster spot for Daniel Lynch, who was called up from Omaha to make a spot start Thursday versus the Twins.

The Royals recalled Lynch from Triple-A Omaha on Thursday.

Lynch will make a spot start Thursday in Minnesota in place of Brady Singer (illness), according to Jaylon T. Thompson of The Kansas City Star. The left-hander has made one start and one relief appearance with the Royals this season, tossing a combined seven shutout frames with a 6:2 K:BB. He's had a more difficult time with Omaha, however, collecting a 4.76 ERA and 34:13 K:BB over 45.1 innings. Unless Singer's illness results in him landing on the injured list, Lynch will likely be sent back down to Omaha after Thursday's start.
