  • Adbert Alzolay RP | NYM

Cubs' Adbert Alzolay: Takes third loss

Alzolay (1-3) allowed two runs on three hits across an inning of relief to take the loss Sunday against the Phillies. He struck out one.

After six scoreless innings from starter Justin Steele, Alzolay promptly came in and allowed Philadelphia to score the first two runs of the game. Despite the losing record, Alzolay has been mostly good this season with a 2.66 ERA and 22 strikeouts across 23.2 innings. This was his first time allowing multiple earned runs in an outing since April 4.

  • Hunter Harvey RP | CHC

Nationals' Hunter Harvey: Secures second save

Harvey picked up the save during Sunday's 6-4 win over the Tigers, tossing a perfect ninth inning with two strikeouts.

Kyle Finnegan earned the save Saturday, tossing a perfect ninth with one strikeout, but Harvey was called upon Sunday to protect a two-run lead, even though the former was presumably available again after pitching just once over the previous four days. It was Harvey's first save chance since blowing back-to-back opportunities in mid-May, and he delivered the goods with a strong performance. Harvey's now 2-for-5 in save chances, while Finnegan is 9-for-11, but either one could get the call on any given day, diminishing both of their overall values in fantasy.

  • Mets' David Robertson: Picks up win after blown save

Robertson (2-0) earned the win after blowing a save in Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader against the Guardians. He allowed one run on two hits with no strikeouts or walks over 1.1 innings.

With the Mets leading 3-2, Robertson entered during the top of the eighth inning with a runner on first base and two outs, and he quickly surrendered a two-run homer to Jose Ramirez for his first blown save of the year. The veteran right-hander returned for the ninth after New York reclaimed the lead and secured the victory with a scoreless frame. Robertson, Adam Ottavino and Brooks Raley all pitched during the matinee, which could open the door for Drew Smith to receive a save chance should one arise in Game 2.

  • Braves' Raisel Iglesias: Secures third save

Iglesias picked up the save during Sunday's 3-2 win over Seattle, tossing a perfect ninth inning while striking out two.

Iglesias has tossed three consecutive perfect innings with four strikeouts during that stretch after serving up four runs over his previous two appearances. The veteran missed the first month of the season with a shoulder strain, but he appears to be finding his groove and should continue to see plenty of save opportunities in his first full campaign with Atlanta.

  • Tyler Rogers RP | TOR

Giants' Tyler Rogers: Takes fourth loss

Rogers (0-4) allowed an unearned run on a hit and a walk in one inning, taking the loss Saturday versus the Marlins.

The leadoff batter reached on an error, and the Marlins were able to play small ball to get him home for the only run of the game. Rogers has largely settled down after ending April on a shaky note, and he remains in a setup role. The right-hander has a 2.22 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 18:8 K:BB with two saves and eight holds through 24.1 innings this season.

  • Dodgers' Victor Gonzalez: Takes loss Saturday

Gonzalez (1-1) was tagged with the loss against St. Louis on Saturday, surrendering three runs on two hits and one walk while striking out one batter over one-third of an inning.

Gonzalez entered in the eighth inning of a tie game and allowed a double and an intentional walk before serving up a three-run homer to Nolan Gorman. The southpaw had been dominant coming into the contest, tossing 11.1 scoreless frames and posting a 12:3 K:BB over his first 10 appearances of the campaign. Given that context, it's unlikely that his rough outing against the Cardinals will impact manager Dave Roberts' trust in Gonzalez.

  • Matt Carasiti RP | ATL

Rockies' Matt Carasiti: Contract selected from Albuquerque

Colorado selected the contract of Carasiti from Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday.

Carasiti will have a chance to appear in an MLB game for the first time since he was a member of the Mariners in 2019. The right-hander will be a middle-innings option for the Rockies while he's with the club, and Fernando Abad has been designated for assignment to make room for Carasiti on both the 40-man and active roster.

  • Kyle Nelson RP | ATL

Diamondbacks' Kyle Nelson: Vultures fourth win

Nelson (4-1) retired all three batters faced, striking out one, and was credited with the win over the Pirates on Saturday.

Nelson bridged the sixth and seventh innings for the Diamondbacks and benefitted from Pavin Smith's two-run home run to earn his fourth win of the season. The left-hander has pitched well in a middle-relief role for a second consecutive season. Nelson sports a 1.50 ERA over 18 innings (21 appearances) after pitching to a 2.19 ERA in 2022.

  • Dylan Floro RP | ARI

Marlins' Dylan Floro: Collects fifth save

Floro struck out two in 1.1 perfect innings Saturday to record his fifth save of the season in a 1-0 win over the Giants.

The right-hander completed the combined shutout after Braxton Garrett, JT Chargois and Tanner Scott held San Francisco in check for 7.2 innings. Floro is a perfect 4-for-4 in converting save chances since A.J. Puk (elbow) landed on the injured list, and on the season the Marlins' fill-in closer has a 2.49 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 20:5 K:BB through 21.2 innings.

  • Kyle Finnegan RP | DET

Nationals' Kyle Finnegan: Notches ninth save

Finnegan struck out one in a perfect ninth inning Saturday to record his ninth save of the season in a 5-2 win over the Tigers.

The right-hander fired eight of 10 pitches for strikes as he breezed through the final frame. Finnegan had a rough start to the season, but since getting stung for eight runs in his first three appearances, the 31-year-old has posted a 1.93 ERA and 15:6 K:BB over his last 14 innings -- albeit with a 1.50 WHIP that suggests he's been more lucky than good.
