Payamps tossed a scoreless eighth inning and picked up a hold in Tuesday's 7-5 victory over the Diamondbacks.

Payamps worked the eighth inning just once all season prior to June 13, but with Peter Strzelecki going through a rough patch and Matt Bush (shoulder) on the injured list, manager Craig Counsell used Payamps in the setup spot that night and twice since. Payamps has allowed five runners to reach base over the three frames he has worked in front of closer Devin Williams, but he also kept the opponent off the scoreboard all three times. As such, expect Payamps to get the ball next time the Brewers need to protect a tight lead in the eighth.

Diaz allowed one run on two hits and two walks while striking out three in the ninth to earn the save over the Rockies on Tuesday.

Diaz did not have a sharp outing but was still able to escape with his sixth save since June 11 and his 20th of the season. Tuesday's save vaulted him into a tie for third as Diaz continues to establish himself as one of the league's top closers. The 26-year-old now holds a 2.03 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 55:15 K:BB in 31 innings. He's thrown 51 pitches over the last two days and should not be expected to be available to pitch Wednesday, likely leaving closing duties up to either Buck Farmer or Lucas Sims.

Chafin rolled his ankle during batting practice prior to Tuesday's game against the Brewers, Michael McDermott of SI.com reports.

Chafin sustained the injury while shagging flyballs. He was scheduled to throw a bullpen session before the game, and it's unclear if he was available Tuesday. Chafin didn't pitch in Tuesday's 7-5 loss to Milwaukee.

Phillips struck out two and didn't allow a baserunner in a scoreless ninth inning to pick up the save Tuesday against the Angels.

The 28-year-old retired the side in order on just 11 pitches to secure his first save since May 12 and eighth of the year. Phillips is the Dodgers' best reliever and remains the team's primary option at closer, but his fantasy value is limited since he receives inconsistent opportunities and is regularly brought in before the ninth inning.

Williams struck out one and walked one in a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 7-5 win against Arizona.

The electric right-hander generated four swinging strikes on 14 pitches, with the only blemish against him being a one-out walk. Since being tagged for four runs in his first blown save last week in Minnesota, Williams has converted his past three save chances without giving up any runs.

Iglesias picked up the save in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Phillies. He allowed a run on two hits while logging a strikeout in the ninth inning.

Iglesias has now allowed five runs over his last four innings, though he managed to close out the Phillies on Tuesday while improving to 10-for-12 in save chances this season. The 33-year-old Iglesias now has a 4.34 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 23:6 K:BB across 18.2 innings in his first full season as Atlanta's closer.

Jackson was designated for assignment by the Dodgers on Tuesday, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

This move clears out a 40-man roster spot for Ryan Brasier, who is joining the Dodgers' bullpen ahead of Tuesday night's game against the Angels. Jackson, 27, has posted a 6.62 ERA in 17.2 innings this year at the MLB level and a 5.86 ERA in 27.2 innings at Triple-A Oklahoma City.

The Dodgers selected Brasier's contract from Triple-A Oklahoma City, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Braiser was released by the Red Sox in May after accumulating a 7.29 ERA and 1.57 WHIP through 21 innings. He signed a minor-league deal with the Dodgers on June 5 and has thrown three scoreless innings with five strikeouts in Triple-A since then, earning himself another shot in the bigs. Given his subpar track record in the majors as of late, Braiser will likely be limited to low-leverage outings while in Los Angeles.

Pittsburgh optioned Ramirez to Triple-A Indianapolis on Tuesday.

Ramirez allowed three (unearned) runs over 1.1 innings of relief in the Pirates' loss to the Cubs on Monday. Cal Mitchell will fill his spot on the major-league roster.

Colorado optioned Hollowell to Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday.

Hollowell made his first major-league appearance of the season Saturday in Atlanta and allowed one earned run on a hit and two walks over two innings of relief. Noah Davis is up from Triple-A in a corresponding roster move to start for the Rockies on Tuesday night in Cincinnati.
