Atlanta optioned Munoz to Triple-A Gwinnett on Monday.

Munoz pitched each of the previous two days and was lit up for five runs over 1.1 frames in Sunday's loss to the Mariners. He will be replaced by a fresh bullpen arm in right-hander Connor Seabold, who was recalled from Gwinnett.

Atlanta recalled Seabold from Triple-A Gwinnett on Monday.

Seabold was claimed off waivers from the Rays in August and made one appearance for Atlanta, allowing two runs over 1.1 innings back on Aug. 19. He'll be back with the big club and will provide manager Brian Snitker with a fresh bullpen arm who's capable of covering multiple innings.

King (back) will throw a live batting practice session Monday, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

King will face fellow rehabbers Nolan Arenado (shoulder) and Brendan Donovan (groin), among others. The lefty reliever hasn't made an appearance in the majors since late July, first because of an oblique strain and later due to a mid-back strain. King will likely require at least one rehab appearance before being activated from the 15-day injured list.

Svanson struck out three over 1.2 scoreless innings to pick up a hold in Sunday's win over the Giants.

Svanson has quietly had a terrific rookie season in the Cardinals' bullpen and has been particularly dominant in the second half, collecting a 0.74 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and 30:9 K:BB over 24.1 innings. The 26-year-old is earning more and more high-leverage opportunities, having picked up four holds over his last seven appearances.

Santillan allowed a run on two hits in one inning while earning a save over the Mets on Sunday.

Santillan coughed up a one-out solo homer to Juan Soto but hung on to finish off the 3-2 victory. It was Santillan's first save since August 19, and he's converted five of his eight chances this season. He now owns an impressive 2.63 ERA with a 66:25 K:BB through 65 frames. Emilio Pagan pitched Friday and Saturday, and he was not available during Sunday's win.

O'Brien earned the save in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Giants, allowing one hit in a scoreless ninth.

With JoJo Romero being deployed in the eighth inning, the Cardinals turned to O'Brien -- who was credited with the win Saturday -- to close things out in the ninth. O'Brien gave up a single to open the inning, but he got out of the frame unscathed after getting Patrick Bailey to ground into a double play. O'Brien has not yielded a run in nine of his last 10 outings and sports a 1.60 ERA and 1.09 WHIP across 39.1 innings this season.

The Cardinals are expected to call up Raquet from Triple-A Memphis on Monday, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Raquet has produced a 4.05 ERA and 1.22 WHIP with 19 strikeouts over 13.1 innings in 11 appearances with Triple-A Memphis since being promoted from Double-A Springfield in late July. The 29-year-old has yet to make his MLB debut, but he could do so during the Cardinals' three-game series in Seattle that begins Monday.

Granillo is expected to be optioned to Triple-A Memphis on Monday, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Granillo was called up Aug. 27, and he's allowed one run while striking out four batters over 2.1 innings in two appearances following his promotion. He's expected to cede his spot in the bullpen to left-hander Nick Raquet, who will have his contract selected from Memphis.

Chandler (2-1) allowed nine runs on nine hits and three walks over 2.2 innings Sunday, striking out three and taking a loss against the Brewers.

Chandler made his first career MLB start Sunday and was greeted with a four-run first inning from Milwaukee. The Brewers scored another run in the second, followed by another four-run performance in the third. Chandler entered the game with a 2.25 in 12 frames out of the bullpen but saw that number quickly jump to 7.36 after Sunday's rough outing. The 22-year-old righty threw 43 of 68 pitches for strikes but generated only five whiffs. Chandler is currently lined up to start in Washington next week, though it's unclear if he'll stay in the rotation.

Palencia was removed from Sunday's game against the Nationals with tightness in the posterior of his right shoulder, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports.

It was a disastrous day for Palencia, who was charged with the loss and a blown save while failing to retire any of the five batters he faced. However, the injury is a bigger concern for the Cubs in the closing stretch of the regular season. Palencia is headed for medical testing, so his status could be updated within the next day or two.
