Leone (undisclosed) was the pitcher of record in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Nationals in the first game of a doubleheader after he gave up one run on three hits in two innings out of the bullpen.

Leone experienced discomfort while warming up in the bullpen Friday, but his ability to cover two innings a day later implies that he's healthy again. The right-hander's appearance will officially be listed as having occurred Saturday, since the Mets and Nationals had their game suspended that day before they resumed the contest Sunday in the third inning with the score tied 1-1.

The Mets recalled Muckenhirn from Triple-A Syracuse ahead of the second game of Sunday's doubleheader with the Nationals, Abbey Mastracco of the New York Daily News reports.

He'll be in line for his second stint with the big club this season after he previously tossed 1.2 scoreless innings in his lone appearance out of the bullpen earlier in May. Muckenhirn should be capable of giving the Mets multiple innings out of the bullpen behind starter Max Scherzer if necessary, but expect the rookie to return to Syracuse immediately after Sunday's game.

The Nationals recalled Abbott from Triple-A Rochester and designated him as the 27th man ahead of the second game of Sunday's doubleheader with the Mets, Jessica Camerato of MLB.com reports.

Abbott has been a full-time starter at Rochester this season and will be available on four days' rest, so he'll be able to provide the Nationals with plenty of length out of the bullpen if the team's starter for the second game of the twin bill -- Jake Irvin -- isn't able to work deep into the contest. Expect Abbott to return to Rochester immediately after the game concludes.

Phillies manager Rob Thomson said Nelson suffered a left hamstring injury during his start Saturday with Triple-A Lehigh Valley, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

Nelson previously opened the season on the Phillies' injured list due to a left hamstring strain before he was activated May 4 and optioned to the minors. After making three consecutive outings for Double-A Reading, Nelson moved into the Triple-A rotation Saturday and gave up one run over four innings, but the hamstring issue resulted in his day ending early. The extent of Nelson's injury isn't yet known, but it wouldn't be surprising if he was forced to miss at least one turn through Lehigh Valley's rotation.

Miami placed Puk on the 15-day injured list Sunday with left elbow nerve irritation, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Puk last pitched Wednesday against the Diamondbacks, with manager Skip Schumaker previously attributing the southpaw's absence to a case of dead arm. Miami provided an updated diagnosis for Puk on Sunday, and he'll now be in line to miss at least a couple weeks while he recovers from he nerve issue. With the southpaw unavailable, Dylan Floro and Tanner Scott will likely see most of the save opportunities for the Marlins.

The Rockies recalled Pint from Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday.

Colorado cleared a spot on the 26-man active roster for Pint by placing right-hander Ryan Feltner (head/concussion) on the 15-day injured list in a corresponding move. Pint, the No. 4 overall pick in the 2016 First-Year Player Draft, received his first call-up to the big leagues after posting a 7.41 ERA, 2.06 WHIP and 24:16 K:BB across 17 innings out of the Albuquerque bullpen.

Jackson (elbow) is beginning a rehab assignment with Single-A San Jose on Sunday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Jackson is first eligible to come off the 60-day injured list May 29, and the right-hander may be ready to go by that point if he endures no setbacks during his rehab assignment. He's working his way back from the Tommy John surgery he underwent last February and will presumably require several outings in the minors to build up his velocity and hone his command. Once activated, Jackson could emerge as a late-inning option out of the San Francisco bullpen.

San Diego optioned Tapia to Triple-A El Paso on Sunday.

Tapia gets the boot from the 26-man active roster to make room for Ryan Weathers, who was called up from Triple-A in advance of his scheduled start Sunday versus Dodgers. Over 10 appearances at the big-league level in 2023, Tapia has logged a 3.18 ERA and 1.41 WHIP across 11.1 innings.

Pallante (2-0) allowed a hit and struck out one over one scoreless inning in Saturday's 4-3 win against the Red Sox.

The Cardinals produced a comeback win for the second game in a row, and Pallante was the beneficiary after their three-run rally in the ninth inning. It's been mixed results for Pallante since he was recalled from Triple-A Memphis. He has given up a run in 4.1 innings while earning a win, a hold and a blown save over three appearances. The right-hander has a 5.68 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 10:5 K:BB through 12.2 innings overall as a middle reliever this season.

San Diego recalled Weathers from Triple-A El Paso on Sunday.

Weathers is getting a call-up in advance of his scheduled start in Sunday's series finale with the Dodgers in Los Angeles. The left-hander has pitched solidly in his limited chances with the big club in 2023, logging a 2.50 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 11:5 K:BB in 18 innings over five appearances (three starts). Domingo Tapia was sent down to El Paso in a corresponding transaction.
