Nance (groin) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Jacksonville on Monday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Nance is eligible to return from the injured list late this week, and the start of his rehab assignment signals that he'll likely be in the mix to rejoin the Marlins' bullpen prior to the end of the regular season. Since the right-hander usually has short appearances out of the bullpen, it seems likely that he'll be cleared to return following a brief rehab stint.

Hudson tossed three scoreless innings out of the bullpen in Saturday's 6-2 loss to the Dodgers. He didn't strike out a batter and allowed two hits and one walk in the 45-pitch appearance.

When Hudson was recalled from Triple-A Memphis on Wednesday, manager Oliver Marmol hinted the right-hander could rejoin the rotation, according to John Denton of MLB.com. The Cardinals ultimately chose to keep a five-man rotation intact, but Hudson was still called upon to provide some length out of the bullpen after starter Jordan Montgomery lasted just four innings in Saturday's outing. With two off days during the upcoming week, Hudson will likely remain in the bullpen, but he could make a spot start at some point in the final few days of the regular season if the Cardinals want to give Jack Flaherty or Adam Wainwright a more extended break in advance of the playoffs.

Diaz earned the save Sunday against Milwaukee, striking out the side in the ninth inning of a 2-1 victory.

Facing the heart of the Brewers' lineup, Diaz needed 14 pitches to fan all three batters. It was his ninth save of the season and third since Sept. 15. Since the All-Star break he's posted a 1.37 ERA, 0.80 WHIP and 36:10 K:BB in 26.1 innings while closing out six games and holding opposing batters to a .128 batting average.

Doval picked up the save Sunday against Arizona. He allowed one run on one hit and one walk while striking out one over one inning.

Doval entered the game up 3-1 but allowed a leadoff double to Christian Walker, who later scored on a sacrifice fly to trim the lead to 3-2. The closer then struck out Corbin Carroll to end the game and record his 26th save of the season. Sunday was the first time that Doval has allowed a run to score in September, and he is now 8-for-8 in save opportunities in the month.

Junis (5-6) earned the win Sunday against the Diamondbacks. He allowed one run on four hits and one walk while striking out seven over 5.1 innings.

Manager Gabe Kapler went with Scott Alexander as the opener Sunday, and Junis came in relief with two outs in the third inning. He threw 5.1 innings of one-run ball en route to his first win since June 10. Additionally, his seven punchouts on the day are tied for the most he's recorded in his last 14 appearances. He has a 4.28 ERA through 107.1 innings this season.

Jameson did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing no runs on five hits and three walks over 5.1 innings against the Giants. He struck out five.

Jameson continued his strong start to his big-league career, as he did not allow a run for the second time in three starts. The rookie showed poise on the mound as the scoreless outing came despite being forced into the stretch in each of the six innings in which he appeared. Jameson was hit hard in Triple-A to the tune of a 6.95 ERA through 114 innings this season, so it's fair to question whether his breakout is sustainable.

Alexander did not factor into the decision in one inning as the opener Sunday against Arizona. He allowed one hit and did not allow a walk or a run.

Alexander got the nod as the opener Sunday and recorded a scoreless inning, marking seven consecutive appearances without allowing a run. The 33-year-old has played a bit of a utility role for Arizona, as in the month of September, he has two saves, five holds and an appearance as the opener. In 10.2 innings this month, he owns a 1.76 ERA and 6:1 K:BB.

Hughes (ankle) picked up the save Sunday in Pittsburgh, retiring the only batter he faced in an 8-3 win.

Hughes entered the game with two outs and the bases loaded and got Diego Castillo to line out to end the game. It was his seventh save of the season and fourth since Sept. 9. The lefty was removed from Thursday's game after he rolled his ankle but was healthy enough to pitch Sunday after not being used the last two nights. He's likely to have save opportunities down the stretch, but the Cubs may also use him in high-leverage situations earlier in ballgames.

Duarte (elbow) was activated from the 60-day injured list and optioned to Triple-A Louisville on Sunday, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

The 25-year-old has been sidelined by the elbow injury since mid-April, but he recently completed an eight-game rehab assignment with Louisville and will remain there now that he's been fully cleared. Duarte received his first taste of the majors in April prior to the injury, and he allowed three earned runs over 2.2 frames in three outings.

Devenski had his contract selected by the Phillies on Sunday.

Devenski signed with Philadelphia on a minor-league deal in late August, and he'll join the big club Sunday after he allowed one run with an 11:3 K:BB over 8.2 innings for Triple-A Lehigh Valley. Brad Hand (elbow) was placed on the 15-day injured list in a corresponding move.
