Robertson pitched a scoreless ninth inning with a strikeout to record the save in Tuesday's win over the Brewers.

After blowing a save in his last outing Sunday, Robertson bounced back nicely with his seventh save in nine chances this season. The two blown saves have been about the only blemish for the veteran righty, who has a stellar 1.96 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 24 strikeouts across 18.1 innings so far in 2022.

Perez was optioned to Triple-A Rochester following Tuesday's loss to the Mets, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Perez was promoted ahead of Tuesday's contest and was called upon amid the blowout, and he gave up two runs on three hits with a strikeout and zero walks over one inning. Evan Lee will be called up in a corresponding move Wednesday to start the series finale in New York.

Smith was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old has been up with the big-league club the past few days and will now return to Albuquerque. Smith made his MLB debut Sunday and had one strikeout in a scoreless inning.

Machado was optioned to Triple-A Rochester on Tuesday, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Machado appeared in each of the Nationals' last two games, allowing a combined five runs in 2.1 innings of work to raise his ERA to 5.40 on the year. He may continue to earn opportunities throughout the season but is unlikely to find himself in anything other than a low-leverage role.

Voth was designated for assignment by the Nationals on Tuesday, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Voth has fallen out of favor after struggling to a 10.13 ERA in 18.2 innings of relief this season. His 3.30 ERA in 43.2 innings back in 2019 continues to fade further into the rearview mirror, leaving him as a 29-year-old with a career 5.70 ERA, a combination which may make it tough for him to generate much interest on waivers.

Perez was recalled from Triple-A Rochester on Tuesday.

Perez owns a 3.27 ERA in a small sample of 11 major-league relief innings, though his 8:9 K:BB paints a very different picture of his performance. He's recorded a 2.51 ERA in 14.1 innings of relief for Rochester this season, a number he's paired with a far better 21:4 K:BB.

Weems' contract was selected by the Nationals on Tuesday.

Weems has thrown 19.2 career major-league innings and has struggled to a 6.86 ERA while walking 14.8 percent of opposing batters. He's been much better in 24 frames for Triple-A Rochester this season, posting a 3.38 ERA while striking out 32 batters and walking just five.

The Mets recalled Medina from Triple-A Syracuse on Tuesday.

New York optioned first baseman/designated hitter Dominic Smith to clear room on the 26-man active roster for Medina, who has now been called up for the fifth time in May. He most recently served as the Mets' 27th man for its May 21 doubleheader with the Rockies, covering 1.1 innings out of the bullpen in Game 2 and giving up five earned runs. Following his demotion to Triple-A a day after the twin bill, he didn't appear in any games, so he'll provide the bullpen with a fresh arm for Tuesday's game against the Nationals.

The Mets optioned Medina to Triple-A Syracuse on May 22.

Medina's latest stint with the Mets lasted just one day, as he was sent back to Syracuse after serving as the big club's 27th man for its May 21 doubleheader with the Rockies. He appeared in the second game of the twin bill that day, working 1.1 innings of relief while serving up five runs on six hits.

Rucker (toe) began a minor-league rehab assignment at Triple-A Iowa on Saturday, striking out one over a scoreless inning while working around a hit and a walk.

Rucker has been on the shelf since May 19 due to a bout with turf toe, but he looks on track to return when he's first eligible or shortly thereafter. It's unclear if the Cubs plan on having him make another tune-up appearance in the minors prior to being activated.
