Ty Adcock RP | SD
Mets' Ty Adcock: Dropped from 40-man
The Mets designated Adcock for assignment Tuesday, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.
The Mets optioned Adcock to Triple-A on July 6 after he allowed seven earned runs in just 4.1 frames with the big-league squad. He has since given up three runs (two earned) in 5.1 innings in the minors, but he will now lose his spot on the 40-man roster to clear space for Tyler Zuber, who was acquired from Tampa Bay on Tuesday.

Tyler Zuber RP | MIA
Mets' Tyler Zuber: Joining Mets
The Mets acquired Zuber from the Rays on Tuesday in exchange for right-hander Paul Gervase, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.
Zuber has been excellent this season for the Rays' Triple-A affiliate, logging a 2.49 ERA in 21.2 innings with a 29:6 K:BB. The 29-year-old made his first big-league appearance since 2021 earlier this month, allowing one run in 3.1 innings of relief. It's unclear if Zuber will join the New York bullpen immediately or begin his time in the organization at Triple-A Syracuse.

George Soriano RP | STL
Marlins' George Soriano: Joining 26-man roster
The Marlins recalled Soriano from Triple-A Jacksonville on Tuesday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
Soriano is set to see his first big-league action since May after the Marlins unloaded several pitchers at the trade deadline. The reliever yielded 12 runs in 11.2 innings with the Marlins this season but has posted a much more acceptable 4.66 ERA with Jacksonville.

Bryan Hoeing RP | SD
Padres' Bryan Hoeing: Heading to San Diego
The Padres acquired Hoeing and Tanner Scott from the Marlins on Tuesday in exchange for prospects Robby Snelling, Adam Mazur, Graham Pauley and Jay Beshears, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
Hoeing obviously isn't the headliner of the trade for the Friars, but he's still a strong addition to the bullpen. The right-hander has two starts in 16 big-league appearances this season and has a 2.70 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 25:9 K:BB across 30 innings.

Tanner Scott RP | LAD
Padres' Tanner Scott: Traded to San Diego
The Padres acquired Scott and Bryan Hoeing from the Marlins on Tuesday in exchange for Robby Snelling, Adam Mazur, Graham Pauley and Jay Beshears, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.
Scott has been viewed as the best reliever that was expected to be traded at the deadline and will help give the Padres a stellar back end of the bullpen along with Robert Suarez and Jason Adam. It's not clear yet how manager Mike Shildt plans to handle the closer role.

Angel Chivilli RP | NYY
Rockies' Angel Chivilli: Brought up to bigs
The Rockies recalled Chivilli from Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday.
With the Rockies dealing Nick Mears and Jalen Beeks at the trade deadline, Chivilli will join the 26-man roster for the second time in his career. The 21-year-old made five appearances with Colorado in June, surrendering three home runs in 5.1 innings en route to an 8.44 ERA.

Yosver Zulueta SP | SEA
Reds' Yosver Zulueta: Back with big club
The Reds recalled Zulueta from Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday.
Despite being optioned to Louisville on Monday, Zulueta is eligible to rejoin the big-league roster after the team made a pair of trades. Cincinnati is slated for a bullpen game Tuesday against the Cubs, and Zulueta could be utilized for an inning or two. The 26-year-old has allowed one run in five MLB innings this season and has logged a 2.18 ERA at Triple-A.

Tony Santillan RP | CIN
Reds' Tony Santillan: Serving as opener Tuesday
Santillan will serve as the Reds' opening pitcher in Tuesday's game versus the Cubs, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.
Frankie Montas had been on turn to start Tuesday, but he was traded to the Brewers on Monday. Santillan is projected to work an inning or two in what will be a bullpen game for the Reds.

Shintaro Fujinami RP | SEA
Mets' Shintaro Fujinami: Sent outright to Triple-A
The Mets outrighted Fujinami to Triple-A Syracuse on Tuesday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
Fujinami is making $3.35 million in 2024, so it's not surprising that he passed through waivers unclaimed after being designated for assignment. He'll remain at Syracuse, where he holds an 10.95 ERA and 14:25 K:BB over 12.1 frames this season.

Jack Neely P | CHC
Cubs' Jack Neely: Goes to Cubs in trade
The Cubs acquired Neely and infielder Benjamin Cowles (undisclosed) from the Yankees on Tuesday in exchange for right-hander Mark Leiter, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.
Neely, 24, has split this season between Double-A Somerset and Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, posting a 2.81 ERA and 63:16 K:BB over 41.2 frames. He could emerge as a high-leverage reliever for the Cubs once he reaches the majors.
