Dodgers general manager Brandon Gomes said Saturday that Treinen (shoulder) is trending toward a return in 2024, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

It remains unclear whether Treinen will be able to pitch in spring training games, but it's relatively positive news for the 35-year-old right-hander. Treinen missed the entire 2023 campaign after undergoing surgery on his shoulder in November 2022, and he was lit up for three runs in 1.1 innings at Triple-A Oklahoma City before being pulled off his rehab assignment.

Feyereisen (shoulder) is expected to be a "full go" for spring training, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Feyereisen was forced to miss all of last season after undergoing a shoulder procedure in December 2022. He threw a bullpen session Saturday as the latest step in his rehab program and appears set to compete for a spot in the Dodgers' bullpen in the spring. The 30-year-old reliever boasts a 2.31 ERA and 1.00 WHIP through 89.2 innings in his MLB career.

Lamet signed a minor-league contract with the Dodgers on Saturday and received an invitation to major-league spring training, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.

Lamet accumulated an awful 11.71 ERA and 2.35 WHIP across 27.2 innings in the majors last season. However, his numbers improved dramatically in the minors with a 2.70 ERA and 1.00 WHIP between the Rockies' and Red Sox's Triple-A affiliates. Lamet will certainly have to show more success before getting another shot in the majors, but the Dodgers organization has developed a reputation for reviving pitchers' careers.

Maton signed a contract with the Rays on Saturday, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports.

The 2023 campaign was Maton's best season to date with a 3.00 ERA and 1.12 WHIP alongside a 74:25 K:BB through 66 innings with the Astros. The presence of Pete Fairbanks and Jason Adam will likely prevent Maton from receiving many save opportunities with his new club, but his impressive strikeout rate should allow him to remain an option in high-leverage situations.

Then signed a minor-league contract with the White Sox on Jan. 24.

Then elected free agency earlier in the offseason and will now head to Triple-A Charlotte as organizational depth for the Sox. The 23-year-old righty appeared in nine games for the Mariners last season, surrendering six earned runs in 11 frames while striking out five batters and walking two. The White Sox don't have a particularly deep bullpen, so Then could get some more looks in the majors for his new club.

Jenson was designated for assignment by the Twins on Friday.

The right-hander was claimed off waivers by the Twins in early January but only stuck on the 40-man roster for a month. Jensen made 43 appearances between the Double-A and Triple-A levels last season and had a 5.32 ERA, 1.82 WHIP and 78:54 K:BB over 64.1 innings.

The Twins claimed Duarte off waivers from the Rangers on Friday.

The 27-year-old holds a 4.19 ERA and 25:23 K:BB over 34.1 innings at the major-league level over the last two seasons. Duarte will compete for a middle relief job in Minnesota, but he has an option year left so he might head to Triple-A St. Paul to start the season.

Castillo was designated for assignment by the Red Sox on Friday, Rob Bradford of WEEI.com reports.

The move frees up a spot on the 40-man roster for Tyler Heineman. Castillo had been claimed off waivers by the Red Sox a month ago and will now go through the waiver process again.

Diekman signed a one-year, $4 million contract with the Mets on Friday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

The deal also includes a vesting option for 2025. Diekman held a 2.18 ERA and 53:25 K:BB over 45.1 innings for the Rays last season after being released by the White Sox. The left-handed reliever has a long history of control problems and swing-and-miss ability and the Mets will be hoping for more of the latter than the former in 2024.

Fujinami agreed to a one-year, $3.35 million contract with the Mets on Friday, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.

The Japanese right-hander made his MLB debut with Oakland as a starter last season but was moved to the bullpen after posting a 14.26 ERA in the rotation. Fujinami pitched better as a reliever and was dealt to Baltimore in July, though his 4.85 ERA for his new club still wasn't pretty. He has plenty of strikeout potential with a 98-plus-mph fastball, but his 9.5 K/9 was underwhelming while his 5.1 BB/9 illustrated his control issues.
