Lambert (2-4) allowed three runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out four over six innings, taking the loss Saturday versus the Dodgers.

Given the quality of the opponent and the fact he gave up all three runs over the first two innings, Lambert was lucky to emerge with a quality start, his second of the season. The right-hander has compiled a 5.46 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 51:23 K:BB through 59.1 innings over 20 appearances (six starts). He was shaky in his first two outings of August and remains a risky option in fantasy given his home park, where he's expected to make his next start versus the lowly White Sox.

Phillips pitched a perfect inning with three strikeouts to earn the save in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Rockies.

Phillips needed just 13 pitches (nine strikes) to retire the top of the Rockies' lineup in the ninth inning. This was his second clean outing in a row after he opened August with three runs allowed over 2.1 innings. The closer is at a 2.60 ERA, 0.82 WHIP and 50:10 K:BB with 17 saves and six holds through 45 innings this season.

Romero picked up the save in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Royals. He allowed one run on three hits over 1.2 innings.

Romero took over in the eighth after Giovanny Gallegos allowed three hits and a run while only recording one out. Romero managed to get the Cardinals out of the jam in that frame and held on for the save despite allowing three hits and a run in the ninth. Though closing duties are up for grabs with Ryan Helsley (forearm) shelved, Romero owns a 4.05 ERA in 15 appearances since Helsley was shifted to the 60-day IL and has recently split ninth-inning work with Gallegos, who's been much more effective lately.

Finnegan (6-3) earned the win in Saturday's 3-2 victory over the Athletics. He struck out two over a perfect inning.

Finnegan fired off his 12th consecutive scoreless appearance Saturday, retiring the side in the top of the ninth during a tied ballgame. Though Finnegan won't see a ton of save opportunities with the Nationals being one of MLB's worst teams, he's been very reliable and owns a 2.65 ERA and a 51:15 K:BB across 51 innings this year.

Howard left his outing for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre with a team trainer Saturday and was placed on the seven-day injured list with an undisclosed issue,Conor Foley of The Scranton Times-Tribune reports.

The nature and severity of Howard's injury are not clear. The 27-year-old righty likely wasn't going to play a major role for the Yankees down the stretch even if healthy, as he was acquired for cash at the deadline and owns a career 7.20 ERA in 115 major-league innings.

Heasley was optioned to Triple-A Omaha on Saturday.

Heasley had been in the majors since early July. In his first seven appearances of his latest big-league stint, he allowed just one earned run in seven innings, but he's given up nine earned runs (including five homers) in 5.1 innings across his last four outings. He'll sort things out in the minors, with Max Castillo taking his place in the bullpen.

Castillo was recalled from Triple-A Omaha on Saturday.

Castillo has thrown 17 innings as a long reliever for the Royals this season, holding his own with a 4.24 ERA despite a low 13.7 percent strikeout rate. He's likely limited to a low-leverage role unless he can start to miss more bats. Jonathan Heasley was optioned in a corresponding move.

Mushinski was recalled by the Astros on Saturday, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

This will be Mushinski's fourth separate stint in the big-league bullpen this season. The 27-year-old lefty owns a 2.79 ERA and 11:3 K:BB in 9.2 innings at the highest level. Phil Maton (elbow) landed on the injured list in a corresponding move.

Jackson's scheduled start Saturday against the Reds was postponed due to inclement weather.

The Pirates and Reds will play a doubleheader Sunday, so Jackson will have to wait another day to make his first career major-league start. Mitch Keller will get the nod for Game 1, while Jackson will start on the mound during the nightcap, per Justice delos Santos of MLB.com.

Maton (elbow) was placed on the 15-day injured list Saturday, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Maton was struck on the right elbow by a comebacker during his outing against the Angels on Friday. He's avoided anything worse than a bruise but will nonetheless require at least 15 days to heal. Parker Mushinski was called up to take his place on the roster.
