Fairbanks picked up the save in Tuesday's 4-2 victory over the Cardinals. He allowed a run on one hit while logging a strikeout over an inning.

Fairbanks' five-game (4.1 innings) scoreless streak ended when he surrendered a solo homer to Willson Contreras. However, the 29-year-old Fairbanks rebounded to close out the Rays' victory and earn his 11th straight save. Overall, Fairbanks is 15-for-16 in save chances this season with a 2.00 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 32:11 K:BB across 27 innings.

Pressly (undisclosed) picked up the save in Tuesday's 7-6 win over Baltimore. He struck out one over a perfect inning.

After getting the day off Sunday, Pressly was back in action Tuesday and tossed a perfect inning for his 27th save of the campaign. After allowing one or more runs in four of his previous seven appearances, Pressly has rattled off four consecutive shutout frames. Despite the rest day, fantasy managers should expect Pressly to be fully healthy moving forward while he currently boasts the sixth-most saves in baseball and dons a 2.98 ERA through 51.1 innings of work.

The Phillies returned Ortiz to Triple-A Lehigh Valley after Tuesday's doubleheader against the Nationals.

Ortiz surrendered one run on four hits and struck out one batter in two innings during the Phillies' Game 1 win over Washington. He'll now return to Triple-A, where he holds a 4.25 ERA and 1.10 WHIP over 29.2 frames. Should the Phillies need a fresh bullpen arm, it's possible Ortiz makes his way back to Philadelphia later this season.

Alzolay worked around a hit to pitch a scoreless ninth inning and record the save in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Mets.

Alzolay continued his strong recent stretch, as he's now put together scoreless outings in nine of his last 10 appearances. The righty has established himself as Chicago's closer with his strong 2.49 ERA overall and 15 saves in 16 chances. After having some uncertainty in the role to begin the year, the Cubs have seemingly found a reliable option for the rest of this season and likely into 2024.

Beeks will serve as the Rays' opening pitcher for Wednesday's game against the Cardinals, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Wednesday will mark the eighth start of the season for Beeks, who holds a 6.27 ERA and 1.47 WHIP through 37.1 frames on the season. The Rays are already planning on Wednesday's contest being a bullpen game, so Beeks will likely remain in the contest only for an inning or two.

The Tigers recalled Wingenter from Triple-A Toledo on Tuesday, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Wingenter will come up from Triple-A to take the spot of Jason Foley, who was placed on the bereavement list Tuesday. Wingenter has bounced between the minors and majors all season and holds a 6.48 ERA and 1.44 WHIP through 8.1 innings with the Tigers.

The Tigers placed Foley on the bereavement list Tuesday, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Foley will be allowed to miss up to seven games as he mourns the passing of his grandmother. Trey Wingenter will come up from Triple-A Toledo to take Foley's place in Detroit's bullpen.

Tarnok will serve as the primary pitcher for the Athletics on Wednesday against the Rangers, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

The Athletics will likely deploy an opener in front of him, but Tarnok is slated to work multiple innings Wednesday and profiles as the Oakland pitcher most likely to factor into any decision. The 24-year-old right-hander has posted a 6.75 ERA and 10:9 K:BB through 10.2 major-league frames this season. He looks like he could get a spin in the No. 5 spot in the rotation after Oakland recently demoted Hogan Harris to Triple-A Las Vegas.

The Dodgers optioned Hudson to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday.

Hudson was recalled from Triple-A on Sunday and will head back to the minors after surrendering one run over two innings during Monday's win over the Padres. Hudson hasn't been particularly effective in the majors this year with a 7.94 ERA and 1.76 WHIP through 5.2 frames, but he could find himself back in Los Angeles if the Dodgers need a fresh bullpen arm.

The Dodgers recalled Gonzalez from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday.

Gonzalez was sent down to Triple-A on July 3 and has since put up a 3.48 ERA and 1.55 WHIP through 10.1 innings with Oklahoma City. Despite Gonzalez's lack of success in the majors this season, he'll be called upon to replace Bryan Hudson, who was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move.
