The Dodgers optioned Hudson to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday.

Hudson was recalled from Triple-A on Sunday and will head back to the minors after surrendering one run over two innings during Monday's win over the Padres. Hudson hasn't been particularly effective in the majors this year with a 7.94 ERA and 1.76 WHIP through 5.2 frames, but he could find himself back in Los Angeles if the Dodgers need a fresh bullpen arm.

The Dodgers recalled Gonzalez from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday.

Gonzalez was sent down to Triple-A on July 3 and has since put up a 3.48 ERA and 1.55 WHIP through 10.1 innings with Oklahoma City. Despite Gonzalez's lack of success in the majors this season, he'll be called upon to replace Bryan Hudson, who was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move.

Kansas City recalled Hearn from Triple-A Omaha on Tuesday.

Hearn was acquired from Atlanta on July 30 and will now get a look out of Royals' bullpen. The 28-year-old left-hander has surrendered 12 earned runs in just 7.1 innings of work this season at the major-league level.

Romano (back) is scheduled to throw another bullpen session Wednesday, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Romano resumed throwing off a mound over the weekend and has responded well so far. Out since late July due to lower-back inflammation, he could skip a minor-league rehab assignment and return to the Blue Jays' closer role when first eligible this Sunday. Erik Swanson and Jordan Hicks have largely been sharing ninth-inning duties in his absence.

The Pirates optioned De Los Santos to Triple-A Indianapolis on Tuesday, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.

De Los Santos has been walking a tightrope this season with 13 walks in 24.1 innings out of the Pittsburgh bullpen, but he's been able to work around those free passes for the most part en route to a 3.33 ERA. He'll head down for the time being as the club adds reinforcements, but De Los Santos figures to be back before the end of the season.

Oakland optioned Jimenez to Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday.

Jimenez allowed two earned runs over one inning of relief in Monday's loss to the Rangers. Adrian Martinez will join the Athletics as a fresh bullpen arm ahead of Tuesday's game versus Texas.

Martinez has struggled to a 5.70 ERA across 23.2 innings this season at the major-league level, but the Athletics need fresh bullpen arms as they play out the string in 2023. Dany Jimenez was optioned out in a corresponding roster move.

Roberts (elbow) is scheduled to throw a live batting practice session Tuesday, Maddie Lee of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Roberts has finally received the green light to face hitters for the first time since he underwent Tommy John surgery July 13 of last year. He'll likely throw multiple live batting practice sessions before eventually heading out on an extended rehab assignment that will likely last close to the maximum 30 days. Barring any setbacks, Roberts still has a chance to make his return from the 60-day injured list before season's end, though the Cubs will most likely option him to Triple-A Iowa once he's activated.

Burdi (appendectomy) is scheduled to make a rehab appearance Tuesday for the Cubs' rookie-level Arizona Complex League affiliate, Maddie Lee of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Burdi's rehab assignment will most likely last close to the entire 30-day window while he works his way back from an appendectomy, which has kept him on the 60-day injured list since late May. Even if the Cubs have room for Burdi in the bullpen once he completes his rehab, he'll likely be ticketed for lower-leverage work.

Seattle recalled Ryan from Triple-A Tacoma on Tuesday.

Ryan was added to the 40-man roster last week and will now get a look with the Mariners as part of their active 26-man major-league roster. He had posted a 3.54 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 40:15 K:BB through 40.2 innings this season at the Triple-A level.
