Pomeranz is scheduled to be re-evaluated Tuesday after he experienced back tightness following his relief appearance in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Pirates, MLB.com reports.

Despite having his back flare up on him, Pomeranz turned in a scoreless inning en route to collecting his fourth hold of the season. After having not pitched in the majors since 2021, Pomeranz has quickly worked his way up the bullpen pecking order since getting a call-up from Triple-A Iowa in late April. The veteran southpaw has yet to allow an earned run and owns a 0.65 WHIP over 18.1 innings out of the Chicago bullpen this season, making his status worth tracking as the Cubs kick off a three-game series versus the Brewers on Tuesday.

Cano threw a scoreless ninth inning in Sunday's 11-2 win over the Angels, walking one and fanning one.

Cano has put together a strong start to the month of June, delivering five scoreless outings so far. The right-hander has been a reliable setup man for the Orioles of late, posting a 1.13 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 11:1 K:BB over his last eight innings (10 games), but he remains unlikely to see many save chances while closer Felix Bautista is healthy.

Flexen (4-0) tossed a scoreless inning of relief to earn the win in Sunday's 3-2, 10-inning win over the Pirates.

Flexen worked the top of the 10th inning and kept Pittsburgh off the board despite having to deal with the automatic runner on second base. He then earned his fourth win of the year when the Cubs scored the winning run in the bottom half of the frame. Flexen extended his scoreless streak to 11 appearances and 18.1 innings to begin the season, as he's been a revelation in long relief for the Cubs. His role limits his fantasy impact, though Flexen has some appeal in deeper formats due to his sparkling ERA and WHIP, as well as his 4-0 record.

Hjelle will draw the start Sunday night against the Dodgers, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Hjelle will take the mound in place of expected starter Kyle Harrison, who was traded to the Red Sox in a deal that brought perennial All-Star infielder Rafael Devers to San Francisco. Hjelle has posted a 4.50 ERA and 1.50 WHIP with one strikeout over four innings in three appearances out of the bullpen this season, and he likely won't remain in the game long enough to potentially qualify for a win.

Miller collected the save in Sunday's 3-2 win against the Royals, allowing one hit in a scoreless inning with two strikeouts.

The flamethrowing righty worked around a leadoff infield single by Drew Waters to smoothly lock down the win on 12 pitches. This was a welcome sight for Miller after he conceded three runs in a non-save situation against Kansas City on Friday. Through 25.1 total frames, the Athletics closer has pitched to a 5.33 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 43:14 K:BB while going 14-for-16 in save opportunities.

Megill secured the save in Sunday's 3-2 win against St. Louis, allowing two hits with three strikeouts in a scoreless inning.

The Milwaukee closer labored a bit in this 29-pitch appearance, as the first two batters he faced reached via singles. However, Megill recovered to punch out the side, including fanning both Victor Scott and Masyn Winn with runners on second and third to wrap up the contest. Despite being unsteady over his past seven appearances with a 5.14 ERA and 1.43 WHIP, Megill is firmly cemented in the closer's role thanks to a 10.7 K/9 through 24.1 total frames.

Tigers manager A.J. Hinch said that Vest dealt with a pinkie injury during his relief appearance in Sunday's 8-4 loss to the Reds, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports. "[The pinkie] was bothering him, so we took him out. We'll get him evaluated, and he'll run through the whole battery of tests," Hinch said.

Vest -- who leads the Tigers with 12 saves -- entered Sunday's contest with a perfect 5-0 record but ended up taking the loss after he was unable to protect Detroit's 4-2 lead in the eighth inning. He retired just two of the six batters he faced and yielded three unearned runs on three hits. After he threw a wild pitch on his 28th pitch of the afternoon, Vest motioned to the dugout for a team trainer and was taken out, but it wasn't immediately known why he was removed from the contest until Hinch clarified the matter after the game. The Tigers should have a better idea on the severity of Vest's injury prior to Tuesday's game against the Pirates, but if the right-hander is down for a few days or requires a stint on the injured list, Tommy Kahnle would likely be next in line for saves.

The Diamondbacks (elbow) transferred Martinez (elbow) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Sunday.

Manager Torey Lovullo announced Friday that Martinez will require season-ending Tommy John surgery, so it was just a matter of time before the right-hander was shifted to the 60-day IL. In addition to missing the rest of the 2025 season, Martinez will spend most, if not all, of the 2026 campaign recovering from the procedure.

Arizona optioned Jarvis to Triple-A Reno on Sunday.

The right-hander was called up by Arizona on Tuesday and immediately collected a three-inning save against Seattle, but he otherwise didn't pitch during his latest stint in the majors. Jarvis has a 6.10 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 11:5 K:BB over 10.1 frames in the big leagues this season. He'll rejoin the rotation at Triple-A and will be available as organizational depth should Arizona need a starter down the road.

Vest was removed during his appearance in the eighth inning of Sunday's 8-4 loss to the Reds due to an unspecified injury, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports. He dropped to 5-1 on the season after retiring two of the six batters he faced and allowing three unearned runs on three hits.

Vest entered the game in a high-leverage spot in the top of the eighth, taking over with a runner on second base and no outs while the Tigers held a 4-2 lead. After allowing back-to-back base hits, Vest struck out Tyler Stephenson, then loaded the bases after Detroit was unable to record an out on a fielder's choice. Vest then allowed a game-tying sacrifice fly before Gavin Lux's single scratched through the go-ahead run. Vest remained in the game after Lux's base hit, but he uncorked a wild pitch that scored another run. The right-hander seemed to be in discomfort after the pitch and was lifted from the contest, though the Tigers didn't provide an immediate explanation for his removal. Manager A.J. Hinch will likely shed more light on Vest's situation after the game or when he meets with the media prior to Tuesday's series opener versus the Pirates.
