Dominguez notched a save in Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Red Sox, allowing one run on two hits while striking out one batter over 1.2 innings.

Dominguez entered with one out in the eighth inning, inheriting runners on first and second with Baltimore clinging to a 1-0 lead. He did a fine job preserving the advantage, striking out Jarren Duran before getting Rafael Devers to foul out. The Orioles tacked on a run in the top of the ninth, which proved to be huge when Abraham Toro tagged Dominguez for a solo home run to begin the bottom of the frame. Dominguez allowed another hit -- a one-out single -- but was successfully able to close out the game for his first save of the season. The right-hander still has a poor 6.00 ERA on the campaign, and his usage in the ninth inning in the second game of the twin bill was likely a result of Felix Bautista pitching in Game 1, so there's probably no reason to believe a changing of the closer role is coming anytime soon in Baltimore.

Harvey (right teres major strain) is still dealing with soreness in his shoulder, the Kansas City Star reports. "He's not throwing off the mound and he is continuing to play catch to keep his arm going. But we need to get all the symptoms out of there before we progress," said manager Matt Quatraro.

Harvey landed on the 15-day injured list April 11 due to a right teres major strain. He progressed enough in his recovery to throw bullpen sessions, but suffered a setback after experiencing soreness May 7. The right-hander is without a timeline for his return but shouldn't be expected back in the near future.

Cano threw a scoreless eighth inning in Saturday's 6-5 extra-inning loss to the Red Sox during Game 1 of a doubleheader. He struck out two.

It was a much-needed bounce-back showing by Cano, who had given up five runs across his prior three outings and nine runs over his previous seven games. His usage in the eighth inning of a tie game Saturday suggests he hasn't dropped down the pecking order as a setup man in Baltimore's bullpen despite his recent shortcomings, but Cano owns an unsightly 12.79 ERA and 2.05 WHIP over his last 6.1 innings.

Fairbanks earned the save in Friday's 3-1 win over the Blue Jays. He issued two walks without allowing a hit or recording a strikeout in a scoreless ninth inning.

Fairbanks was brought in to protect the Rays' two-run lead, and he was able to work around two walks to come away with his 10th save of the season (and second in as many days). He needed 21 pitches (11 strikes) to get through the frame, which could impact his availability for Sunday's series finale. Fairbanks has a 2.05 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 22:12 K:BB across 22 innings this season.

Abreu threw a scoreless eighth inning, allowing one walk and striking out two to earn a hold Saturday against the Mariners.

Abreu had a rare ineffective outing Friday, allowing two earned runs while taking his second loss of the season. He immediately bounced back Saturday to tally his 13th hold of the campaign, and he has now delivered a scoreless effort in 22 of his 24 appearances.

Wilson did not factor into the decision Saturday, allowing four runs (two earned) on five hits, two walks, and one hit by pitch over four-plus innings against the Rangers. He struck out four.

The 27-year-old filled in for probable starter Jonathan Cannon, who was scratched due to lower-back tightness. Wilson made it through four innings while allowing two runs before a Josh Rojas error in the fifth facilitated his exit. Two additional runs were charged to his line after reliever Mike Vasil was unable to escape the jam. Overall, Wilson has had a tough start to the 2025 season, posting a 5.84 ERA and 1.78 WHIP across 37 innings while bouncing between the rotation and bullpen.

Pagan earned the save in Saturday's 6-4 win over the Cubs, allowing one run on two hits while striking out two in the ninth inning.

Pagan entered the ninth with a 6-3 lead and closed out the win despite surrendering a leadoff homer to Carson Kelly. The veteran right-hander has allowed runs in four of nine May appearances but has converted five straight save opportunities. He ranks third in the National League with 13 saves and owns a 3.75 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 28:6 K:BB across 24 innings on the season.

Reynolds (0-1) took the loss against Atlanta on Saturday, allowing three runs on six hits and no walks with one strikeout over 2.2 innings.

Reynolds tossed 35 of 57 pitches for strikes but was hit around in his first major-league start. The 27-year-old owns a 7.45 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 10:3 K:BB across 9.2 innings and should return to the bullpen after making a spot start in place of Michael King (shoulder).

Bednar picked up the save in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Brewers. He allowed one hit, no walks and a hit by pitch while striking out none over a scoreless inning.

Bednar didn't spare the dramatics Saturday, plunking Caleb Durbin and giving up a base hit to Joey Ortiz before inducing a Brice Turang double play to close out the game. The right-hander faltered in a non-save situation Friday, surrendering a solo home run and issuing two walks before being pulled after recording only one out. The 30-year-old has struggled mightily this season, pitching to a 5.17 ERA and 1.60 WHIP across 15.2 innings in 19 appearances. Bednar has recorded two of Pittsburgh's past three saves, but he still appears to be splitting closer work with Dennis Santana.

Lopez struck out one in a perfect ninth inning Saturday to record his first save of the season in a 3-0 win over the Giants.

With Kyle Finnegan battling shoulder fatigue, Lopez stepped up in the ninth for the Nationals and fired eight of nine pitches for strikes to get the job done. The 32-year-old right-hander has had some rough stretches this season, but Lopez has reeled off five straight scoreless appearances while collecting a win and two holds, plus Saturday's save. It's not clear how long Finnegan might be unavailable, but the Nats haven't yet placed him on the injured list. If the team's regular closer does end up needing a lengthier absence, Jackson Rutledge -- who had pitched Thursday and Friday -- might join the ninth-inning mix given Lopez's 6.00 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 16:6 K:BB through 24 innings on the year.
