Helsley allowed two runs on a hit and four walks in one inning during Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader against Boston. He struck out two and was charged with a blown save in the loss.

Helsley made his first appearance since April 1 and saw his first save chance since March 27. He threw just 16 of 37 pitches for strikes and failed to protect the 4-2 lead. St. Louis would go on to lose in the 10th inning. Helsley hadn't walked a batter this season through three innings, and Sunday was his first time walking multiple batters in an outing since June 24, 2024. His ERA jumped to 4.50, but he maintains a firm grasp on the Cardinals' closer role.

Diaz (hamstring) allowed one unearned run on one hit and one walk while striking out one over one inning for Triple-A Louisville on Sunday.

It was rehab day for Louisville, which featured starter Andrew Abbott (shoulder) making his second rehab start and Diaz's second rehab outing. The reliever has already healed from a left hamstring strain, per Mark Sheldon of MLB.com, but he might get another rehab appearance before the Reds activate him. Diaz is not guaranteed to resume his duties as Cincinnati's closer.

Doval (1-0) allowed a run on two hits and two walks in one inning Sunday while picking up a win against Seattle. He did not record a strikeout and was charged with a blown save.

Doval was tagged with a blown save in back-to-back games, but this time he earned a win after the Giants walked it off in the bottom of the ninth inning. He coughed up an RBI double to Randy Arozarena in the top of the frame to tie the contest. Ryan Walker was seemingly unavailable Sunday after pitching Friday and Saturday. Doval owns a 1.80 ERA through five innings, but he has struck out only two batters.

Jax pitched one inning, surrendering two runs on three hits while striking out three batters on his way to a blown save in Sunday's 9-7 extra-inning loss to the Astros. He did not factor into the decision.

Jax was tasked with protecting a 7-5 lead in top of the ninth inning and promptly allowed a leadoff single to Isaac Paredes and a subsequent game-tying two-run homer to Yordan Alvarez to open the frame. The right-hander settled in from there, working around a double from Christian Walker and striking out the final three batters of the inning. Jax has now allowed two home runs this season while giving up three runs on six hits and a walk over 2.2 innings in three appearances out of Minnesota's bullpen.

Headrick was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre after Sunday's 5-4 extra-innings loss to the Pirates.

Headrick will head to Triple-A after pitching 5.1 scoreless innings, allowing one hit and two walks while striking out nine batters over four appearances out of the bullpen with New York so far this season. The transaction makes room for Adam Ottavino on the 26-man roster after Ottavino was re-signed by the team Sunday night.

Hader (1-0) tossed two perfect innings, striking out three batters on his way to a win in Sunday's 9-7 extra-inning victory over the Twins.

Hader was tasked with keeping the game tied at 7-7 in the bottom of the ninth inning, setting the Twins down in order, including a strikeout. He then returned to the mound for the bottom of the 10th after Houston took a 9-7 lead in the top of the frame and worked around the inherited runner at second to secure his first win of the year. Hader has now allowed one run on two hits and two walks while striking out six batters over five innings in four appearances out of the bullpen this season.

Borucki blew a save in Sunday's 5-4 extra-innings win over the Yankees, recording two outs while allowing three runs on three hits and one walk with one strikeout.

Called upon to protect a 4-1 lead in the ninth inning, Borucki allowed three runs with two outs and was lifted after totaling 26 pitches. While Dennis Santana nabbed the Pirates' most recent save opportunity, he was deployed in the eighth inning against the top of the Yankees' order. Borucki holds a 7.20 ERA, 1.60 WHIP and 7:2 K:BB through five innings, and the Pittsburgh bullpen looks like a situation to avoid for the time being.

Wolfram was optioned to Triple-A Nashville after Sunday's 8-2 win over the Reds.

Wolfram was called up to the 26-man roster ahead of Sunday's contest, but he will now head back to Nashville after failing to enter the team's win against Cincinnati. The left-hander will now wait for his next chance to make his major-league debut.

Contreras is expected to be optioned to Triple-A Sugar Land on Monday, Ari Alexander of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Contreras will head to Triple-A after posting a 9.00 ERA and 1.50 WHIP with six strikeouts over six innings in five appearances with the Astros so far this season. His demotion will create an opening in the bullpen for Logan VanWey, who is expected to be called up from Triple-A ahead of Monday's game in Seattle.

VanWey will join the Astros ahead of their series in Seattle after making four appearances out of the bullpen for Sugar Land so far this season, posting a 4.50 ERA and 2.00 WHIP with seven strikeouts over four innings. Houston is expected to option Luis Contreras to Triple-A to clear a spot in the bullpen for VanWey, who will be making his MLB debut whenever he gets into a game.
