  • Gavin Williams SP | CLE

Guardians' Gavin Williams: Yields five runs in loss Tuesday

Williams (5-2) took the loss Tuesday against the Royals, allowing five runs on eight hits and two walks with seven strikeouts across six innings.

After he was tagged for six runs over six innings against the Blue Jays on April 24, Williams pitched a season-high 7.2 innings of one-run ball against Tampa Bay last week. Williams' ERA has ballooned from 2.12 to 3.28 with the two bad outings sandwiched around his dominant start against the Rays. Williams served up a pair of homers to lefties Isaac Collins and Michael Massey at the bottom of the Royals' lineup Tuesday. Through 49.1 innings, Williams has an MLB-best 60 strikeouts, though walks (21 issued) remain a problem for the right-hander. He's in line to face the Twins at home Sunday.

  • Walbert Urena SP | LAA

Angels' Walbert Urena: Ready to start Wednesday

Urena (knee) is listed as the Angels' probable starting pitcher for Wednesday's game against the White Sox in Anaheim.

During his most recent start in Friday's 4-3 loss to the Mets, Urena was lifted from the contest after taking a Bo Bichette comebacker off his right knee in the top of the sixth inning. His early exit looks to have just been precautionary, with manager Kurt Suzuki telling Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com afterward that Urena was diagnosed with a bruise and no other damage. The 22-year-old right-hander was apparently able to complete his between-starts bullpen session without a hitch and should face no limitations Wednesday.

  • Chris Bassitt SP | BAL

Orioles' Chris Bassitt: Escapes with no-decision Tuesday

Bassitt didn't factor into the decision in Tuesday's 9-7 win over the Marlins, giving up four runs on six hits and three walks over four innings. He struck out three.

Miami tagged the veteran righty for runs in each of the first three frames before Bassitt finally delivered a clean fourth, but he still got the hook after 76 pitches (42 strikes) with Baltimore holding a 7-4 lead. Bassitt has been able to keep the ball in the yard this season, serving up just three homers in 32 innings, but that's about the only positive takeaway from his performance so far. He'll carry a 5.91 ERA, 1.91 WHIP and 20:17 K:BB into his next outing, which is set to come at home this weekend against the A's.

  • Luis Severino SP | ATH

Athletics' Luis Severino: Gets little help in tough loss

Severino (2-3) took the loss Tuesday as the A's were routed 9-1 by the Phillies, allowing one run on seven hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out three.

The veteran right-hander's only real mistake came in the third inning, when Bryce Harper got hold of a hanging sweeper and launched it over the right-field wall, but Severino had no margin for error with Cristopher Sanchez delivering eight scoreless innings for the Phillies. Severino is turning things around after a bumpy beginning to the season, giving up exactly one run in three straight starts, and he'll take a 4.15 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 43:25 K:BB through 43.1 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come on the road this weekend in Baltimore.

  • Brayan Bello SP | BOS

Red Sox's Brayan Bello: Sharp as primary pitcher Tuesday

Bello (2-4) picked up the win Tuesday, allowing one run on four hits and a walk over seven relief innings in a 10-3 rout of the Tigers. He struck out seven.

Working as a bulk reliever for the first time in 2026, the right-hander entered the game to begin the second inning after Jovani Moran had given up two runs as the opener. Bello responded with his best performance of the year, setting new season highs in innings and strikeouts while firing 66 of 94 pitches for strikes. It was a timely bounce-back effort, as Bello's rotation spot appears to be hanging by a thread with Sonny Gray (hamstring) due back Wednesday and Payton Tolle pitching well. Even after Tuesday's strong outing, Bello carries a 7.44 ERA, 1.93 WHIP and 24:16 K:BB through 32.2 innings. He'll need to string together another couple good starts to keep his job, beginning with a trip to the mound at home this weekend against the Rays.

  • Jacob deGrom SP | TEX

Rangers' Jacob deGrom: Tagged for six runs Tuesday

DeGrom (2-2) took the loss Tuesday against the Yankees, allowing six runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out seven over 6.1 innings.

DeGrom was hit hard early, surrendering three runs over the first two innings, including a two-run homer off the bat of Ryan McMahon. He later gave up another long ball to Jazz Chisholm in the sixth as New York continued to square him up. The six runs and two homers allowed were both season highs for the veteran right-hander, though he also recorded an out in the seventh inning for the first time this year. Prior to Tuesday, deGrom had allowed just four runs across his previous five starts. Fantasy managers can still take comfort in the strikeout production, as he recorded seven punchouts for the fourth time in seven starts this season. DeGrom now owns a 3.11 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 47:8 K:BB across 37.2 innings and is tentatively scheduled to face the Cubs this weekend.

  • Taj Bradley SP | MIN

Twins' Taj Bradley: Grabs fourth win Tuesday

Bradley (4-1) earned the win Tuesday against the Nationals, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out eight over six innings.

Bradley had to battle early, needing 51 pitches just to get through the first two innings, but he settled in nicely afterward and dominated for long stretches. He retired 11 straight batters before Daylen Lile broke the run with a two-out double in the fifth inning. Bradley continues to provide reliable production, now allowing two or fewer runs in seven of his eight starts this season. The right-hander owns a 2.87 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 52:17 K:BB across 47 innings and is slated to face Cleveland in his next outing.

  • Rays' Drew Rasmussen: Limits Blue Jays on Tuesday

Rasmussen did not factor into the decision Tuesday against the Blue Jays, allowing three runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out five over six innings.

Rasmussen ran into trouble early, surrendering a solo homer to Kazuma Okamoto in the first inning before allowing another run in the second via a trio of singles. The right-hander settled in from there and continued his workhorse-esque trend, now going at least five innings in six of his seven starts this season. One concern has been the long ball, as Rasmussen has already allowed six homers across those seven outings. Even so, he still owns a strong 2.95 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 37:6 K:BB on the year. The 30-year-old is next scheduled to face a Boston lineup that has struggled to consistently score runs lately.

  • George Kirby SP | SEA

Mariners' George Kirby: Goes seven innings in no-decision

Kirby allowed two runs on five hits and a walk while striking out five over seven innings in a no-decision Tuesday versus Atlanta.

Kirby took his second no-decision in a row. This was also his fifth quality start in eight outings, though the runs he allowed came in the fourth inning, just after the Mariners had taken the lead on a J.P. Crawford two-run home run. Kirby has been pretty strong and steady overall this season with a 2.94 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 39:12 K:BB through 52 innings. His next start is projected to be on the road in Houston.

  • Kevin Gausman SP | TOR

Blue Jays' Kevin Gausman: No-decision vs. Tampa Bay

Gausman did not factor into the decision Tuesday against the Rays, allowing two runs on six hits and one walk while striking out three over six innings.

Gausman continued his steady start to the season, throwing 63 of 96 pitches for strikes while keeping Tampa Bay mostly in check en route to his fifth quality start through eight outings. The veteran right-hander showed a noticeable velocity bump, reaching 96 mph or higher on seven four-seamers after doing so only five times over his previous four starts combined. Following Tuesday's outing, Gausman now sits just three strikeouts shy of 2,000 for his career and should soon become only the sixth active pitcher to reach that milestone. The 35-year-old owns a 3.28 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and a 43:9 K:BB across 46.2 innings and is scheduled for a rematch with Tampa Bay in his next start.
