Bubic (2-13) allowed five runs on seven hits and three walks over 2.2 innings Sunday, striking out two and taking a loss against Boston.

Bubic gave up one run in each of the first two frames before he was tagged with three runs in the third inning. He's gone 0-7 with a brutal 7.83 ERA over his last seven starts. That poor stretch has driven his season ERA up to 5.81 alongside a 96:58 K:BB through 119.1 innings. Bubic is expected to face the Mariners at home next week.

Springs (9-4) allowed three runs (two earned) on six hits and no walks while striking out six in 5.2 innings to earn the win over the Rangers on Sunday.

Springs held the opposition scoreless over his first three outings in September, but he was slightly less effective during Sunday's start. However, the southpaw still picked up his third win over his last four appearances. He's posted a 0.89 ERA and 0.98 WHIP in 20.1 innings over four starts this month and tentatively lines up to make his next start at home against the Blue Jays on Friday.

Velasquez allowed two runs on three hits and two walks while striking out four in four innings during Sunday's win over the Tigers. He didn't factor into the decision.

Although the White Sox planned for a bullpen game Sunday, Velazquez gave the team decent length by tossing 62 pitches (42 strikes) over four innings. However, he was forced to settle for the no-decision since most of the team's offensive production came after his departure. Over five appearances (one start) since the start of September, the right-hander has posted a 6.00 ERA and 1.11 WHIP in nine innings. Velazquez will likely head back to the bullpen following Sunday's outing.

Gonzales (10-14) allowed five runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out four in 6.1 innings, taking the loss Sunday versus the Angels.

Gonzales was undone by the long ball -- he gave up two home runs to Luis Rengifo and one to Livan Soto. This was the second time in three starts Gonzales has given up multiple homers, though it's just the seventh time he's done that in 29 starts for the year. The poor start ticked his ERA up to 4.01 with a 1.32 WHIP and 92:47 K:BB through 166 innings this season. The 30-year-old southpaw is lined up for a favorable road start in Kansas City for his next turn.

Detmers (6-5) allowed a run on four hits, two walks and a hit batsman while striking out three in six innings to earn the win Sunday over the Mariners.

Detmers was able to limit the Mariners to an Adam Frazier RBI single in the second inning. Detmers hadn't completed six frames in any of his last five starts. The 23-year-old southpaw's strong start lowered his ERA to 3.71 with a 1.20 WHIP and 111:45 K:BB through 119 innings across 23 starts. He's lined up for a road start in Minnesota next weekend.

Manoah allowed a run on four hits and four walks while striking out five in six innings in a 5-4 loss Sunday against Baltimore. He did not factor into the decision.

Manoah wasn't at his best Sunday but he navigated trouble to keep Toronto in a position to win. Three consecutive hits in the fourth inning led to the lone run but he settled down after that, retiring eight of the last nine batters he faced. The former West Virginia Mountaineer has allowed two runs or fewer in each of his last six starts, compiling a 1.32 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 37:12 K:BB in 41 innings in that span. His next start will likely be next weekend in Tampa Bay.

Kremer allowed two runs on four hits, five walks and a hit batsman while striking out three in 5.2 innings in a 5-4 win Sunday in Toronto. He did not factor into the decision.

Kremer managed to give up just two runs despite allowing 10 of the 25 batters he faced to reach safely. A line-drive triple play in the third inning ended one threat, as did some timely groundouts. After walking 11.3 percent of batters in his first two big-league seasons, the 26-year-old had demonstrated excellent control over his first 99.2 innings this year, walking only 5.4 percent of opponents. Sunday's five walks were his most of the season and just the second time he walked more than two in an outing. His next start will likely be next weekend against Houston.

Schmidt was removed from Sunday's game against the Brewers in the bottom of the eighth inning due to an apparent foot/ankle injury, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Schmidt allowed two runs on three hits and no walks while striking out four in 2.1 relief innings Sunday, and he was hit by a comebacker with one out in the bottom of the eighth inning. He immediately exited the game but was able to walk off the field under his own power. It's not yet clear whether he'll require a trip to the injured list.

Ryan (12-8) earned the win Sunday in Cleveland, striking out five in 7.2 innings while allowing three hits, two walks and a hit batsman.

After not allowing a hit in seven innings in his last start, Ryan didn't allow a hit Sunday until the fifth inning. He was in control throughout the game and only one baserunner reached scoring position while he was on the mound. The 26-year-old is a strong candidate for American League Pitcher of the Week as he tossed 14.2 scoreless innings while striking out 14 and allowing three hits in two starts. His next start will likely be next weekend against the Angels.

Urquidy (13-7) gave up six earned runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out six over six innings to take the loss in an 8-5 defeat against the Athletics on Saturday.

Urquidy faltered in what looked on paper like a favorable matchup against one of the weakest lineups in baseball. The bulk of the damage came on a pair or home runs off the bats of Seth Brown and Chad Pinder. Urquidy has now had two rough outings in a row. He has given up 12 runs over his past two starts to raise his ERA from 3.51 to 3.96. The 27-year-old right-hander will look to reverse this troubling trend his next time out against the Orioles.
