Dunning allowed five runs (three earned) on seven hits and one walk while striking out five over 5.1 innings Monday against the Orioles. He didn't factor into the decision.

Dunning entered the fifth inning with a two-run lead, but two unearned runs crossed the plate after a fielding error by his first baseman, tying the game at five. Despite a shaky outing Monday, he's posted a 3.92 ERA and 1.31 WHIP with a 26:13 K:BB over his last seven starts (39.0 innings).

Faedo left the second game of Monday's doubleheader against the Guardians due to right hip soreness, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Faedo is up with the club as the 27th man for Monday's twin bill, so as Woodbery notes, he'll be sent back to Triple-A Toledo regardless of his health. He'll likely be re-evaluated in the coming days to determine whether he'll require a stint on the minor-league injured list.

Faedo was removed from his start against the Guardians in Game 2 of Monday's doubleheader due to an undisclosed injury, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports. He allowed three runs on four hits and four walks while striking out three over 3.2 innings.

The team evidently spotted something in Faedo's delivery that looked off, and after skipper A.J. Hinch watched him toss a few warmup pitches, he was lifted from the contest. The club should reveal more on his injury after further evaluation.

Crawford yielded two hits and a walk over 5.1 shutout frames Monday, striking out eight and earning a win over Tampa Bay.

Crawford took the mound in the third inning after Austin Davis opened with a pair of scoreless frames. The 26-year-old rookie allowed just one Ray to reach scoring position and never faced much of a threat in the dominant outing. In two games against the Rays this season, he's thrown 8.1 scoreless innings with 13 punchouts. Crawford owns a 5.04 ERA with a 32:13 K:BB through 25 innings this season.

Gausman is still having trouble pushing off his injured right ankle, Rob Longley of the Toronto Sun reports.

Gausman is still dinged up after being struck by a line drive Saturday, and it's not yet known if he will be ready to make his next scheduled start. He is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Tuesday, and it seems likely another update on his status will come after that.

Hill (knee) could return in 2-to-4 weeks, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

Hill underwent an MRI over the weekend, and some tearing was found in a knee ligament. However, there is a chance he could return to action before July comes to a close.

German (shoulder) tossed four innings in a rehab start with Double-A Somerset on Sunday, allowing one run on two hits while striking out three.

German didn't walk any batters and threw 39 of 49 pitches for strikes in his third rehab outing. He has compiled a 0.87 ERA and 0.48 WHIP along with a 6:0 K:BB across 10.1 innings in his trio of minor-league appearances thus far. It's unclear how many more rehab outings he'll make or what role he'll take when he returns to the big-league club.

Odorizzi (lower leg) was reinstated from the 15-day injured list ahead of Monday's start against the Royals.

Odorizzi was out since mid-May due to strains and sprains to ligaments in his right foot and ankle, but he recently made a pair of rehab starts and posted a 2.25 ERA and 0.88 WHIP in eight innings. The Astros will roll with a six-man rotation this week now that Odorizzi is available, and he should be able to handle a relatively full workload Monday since he tossed 78 pitches during his most recent rehab start.

Whitley (elbow) was activated from the injured list Monday, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Whitley made a few rehab starts in recent weeks, but he has officially completed his comeback from Tommy John surgery and is ready to pitch regularly again. Whitley was assigned to Triple-A Sugar Land, where he will work on building up his pitch count. He could be an option for the big club at some point in the second half, but the Astros have a lot of capable starters, so they have little incentive to push him over the remainder of the campaign.

Seabold was optioned to Triple-A Worcester on Monday.

Seabold made two starts during his time with the major-league club, and he'll be sent down following Sunday's outing. After allowing seven runs in 4.2 innings against the Blue Jays on June 27, he fared much better against the Cubs on Sunday, giving up just one run in four innings. However, the right-hander will head back to the minors after Kutter Crawford was recalled Monday.
