Luzardo (finger) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session within the next couple days, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

The 23-year-old has been playing catch from 120 feet and will progress to throwing bullpen sessions this week. Luzardo's return to mound work represents a significant benchmark in his rehab from a fractured finger, though he's likely still at least a couple weeks from returning.

Sale (elbow) has been satisfied with his recovery between throwing sessions, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

Sale threw from a mound for the first time since Tommy John surgery May 4 and has continued with his throwing progression. It's unclear how significant this piece of news truly is, but manager Alex Cora sees it as a good sign for the lefty ace.

The Twins plan to call up Ober from Triple-A St. Paul to start Tuesday's game against the White Sox, Steve Stone of NBC Sports Chicago reports.

Ober will be summoned from the minors on short notice to make his MLB debut after the pitcher initially scheduled to start Tuesday, Michael Pineda, was scratched for non-injury-related reasons. The 25-year-old Ober hasn't worked more than four innings in any of his two starts with St. Paul this season, so the Twins likely won't be counting on the right-hander to work deep into Tuesday's contest.

Quantrill gave up a run on three hits without recording a strikeout over one inning of work in Monday's 7-4 loss to the Angels.

The right-hander worked the seventh inning Monday, and he allowed an RBI double to Jared Walsh on the heels of consecutive singles by Jose Rojas and Anthony Rendon. Quantrill hadn't allowed a run in 10.2 innings prior to his poor inning Monday. Overall, he's posted a 2.18 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 11:10 K:BB, with his 5.05 FIP indicating that he's been lucky not to have more runs on his ledger.

Sandoval allowed two runs on six hits and a walk over four innings in Monday's win over Cleveland. He struck out two and did not factor in the decision.

Sandoval got off to a rough start, serving up a solo homer to Cesar Hernandez on the first pitch of the game. He later coughed up an RBI single to Jose Ramirez in the third. The 6-foot-3 southpaw is sporting a 5.56 ERA across 11.1 frames this season. Sandoval could move back to the bullpen before he gets another chance at starting.

Kikuchi (1-3) allowed three runs on three hits and four walks over six innings Monday, striking out eight and taking a loss against the Tigers.

Overall, it was a solid outing for Kikuchi. All three runs he allowed came in the second inning on a pair of homers by Eric Haase and Jonathan Schoop, and he allowed just one baserunner the rest of the way. It was his fourth straight outing with at least six innings pitched and seven strikeouts. Kikuchi will carry a 4.32 ERA into next week's projected start in Oakland.

Mize (3-3) allowed one run on three hits and three walks over 7.2 innings Monday, striking out seven and earning a win over the Mariners.

Mize matched his career high with seven strikeouts and tossed a career-best 7.2 innings while picking up his second straight win. The 6-foot-3 righty rolled through seven shutout frames before serving up a solo homer to Tom Murphy in the eighth. Over his last four starts, Mize has allowed seven runs across 25.2 innings, lowering his season ERA to 3.69. He's lined up to take the mound in Kansas City this weekend.

Lyles (2-3) picked up the win in Monday's 5-2 victory over the Yankees, allowing one run on six hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out six.

The veteran right-hander tossed 56 of 85 pitches for strikes as he delivered his second quality start of the season. Lyles also kept the ball in the yard for the second straight outing after being taken deep at least once in seven straight trips to the mound to begin the year. He'll carry a 5.93 ERA and 42:16 K:BB through 44 innings into his next start.

Cole (5-2) took the loss Monday, giving up five runs on seven hits and two walks over five-plus innings as the Yankees were downed 5-2 by the Rangers. He struck out seven.

The right-hander was uncharacteristically hittable, as Monday's outing was the first time all season Cole gave up more base knocks than innings pitched. The walks were also his first in over a month, and in between he set a new major-league record by striking out 61 batters without issuing a free pass -- breaking the mark of 58 set by Corbin Burnes just last week. Cole will take a 2.03 ERA and absurd 85:5 K:BB through 57.2 innings into his next outing.

Keuchel (3-1) picked up the win Monday, allowing three runs on seven hits over seven innings in a 16-4 rout of the Twins. He struck out six without walking a batter.

The White Sox staked the southpaw to a 3-0 lead before he even stepped on the mound for the bottom of the first inning and they never stopped mashing, leading to a very low-pressure night for Keuchel. The quality start was his third of the year while the six K's were a season high, and he'll take a 4.44 ERA and 24:15 K:BB through 50.2 innings into his next outing.
