Means (3-0) allowed two earned runs on three hits and one walk while striking out nine across seven innings to earn the win over the Athletics on Friday.

Means hasn't lost a game yet this season over six starts. He gave another dominant performance Friday tallying nine punchouts in seven innings. Both of his runs allowed were solo home runs by Sean Murphy and Mitch Moreland. The long ball has troubled Means at times in the young season, but he doesn't allow many baserunners with a 0.84 WHIP. The 28-year-old supports a 1.70 ERA and 38 strikeouts in 37 innings.

Ray (1-1) picked up the win in Friday's 13-5 victory over Atlanta, allowing two runs on five hits over 6.2 innings. He struck out five without walking a batter.

The lefty took a shutout into the seventh inning before an Ozzie Albies homer helped end Ray's night. It was still an outstanding performance from the 29-year-old, who tossed 68 of 95 pitches for strikes as he delivered his second straight quality start, and Ray will take a 2.78 ERA and 20:9 K:BB through 22.2 innings into his next outing, likely to come next week in Oakland.

McCullers (2-1) picked up the win Friday, allowing three hits and three walks over seven scoreless innings in a 9-2 victory over the Rays, He struck out nine.

The nine strikeouts were a season high for the right-hander, who tossed 111 pitches (72 strikes) en route to his second straight quality start. McCullers will take a 3.38 ERA and 30:14 K:BB through 26.2 innings into his next outing, likely to come on the road next week against the Yankees.

Arihara (2-3) yielded six runs on four hits and two walks over 2.2 innings Friday, striking out one batter and taking a loss against Boston. He allowed four home runs.

Boston jumped on Arihara right out of the gate with J.D. Martinez knocking a three-run blast and Xander Bogaerts following up with a solo shot before an out was recorded. The 28-year-old then served up solo homers to Martinez and Rafael Devers in the third. After a promising start to his MLB career, Arihara has been hammered for 11 runs and five home runs in just 4.2 innings over his last two outings. He'll carry a 5.76 ERA into next week's projected start in Minnesota.

Skubal (0-4) allowed four runs on five hits and two walks while striking out one in three innings to take the loss against the Yankees on Friday.

Skubal had been piggybacking with Michael Fulmer recently, but he started Friday's contest. However, he was hit hard early in the contest and gave up runs in each of the first three innings prior to his removal. As a result, Skubal was forced to settle for his fourth loss in his last five appearances. The southpaw now carries a 6.14 ERA and 1.68 WHIP in 22 innings this season. He could make his next appearance on the road against Boston on Thursday.

Eovaldi (4-2) allowed one run on four hits and two walks over six frames Friday, striking out five and earning a win over the Rangers.

Eovaldi didn't have too much pressure on him Friday as he took the mound in the first inning with a 4-0 lead already in place. Brock Holt drove in a run with an RBI single in the second but the Rangers only put one baserunner in scoring position after that. He lowered his season ERA to 3.63 through 34.2 innings this season. Eovaldi is slated to face Detroit at home next week.

Cole (4-1) allowed four hits and no walks while striking out 12 in six scoreless innings to earn the win against the Tigers on Friday.

Cole racked up double-digit strikeouts for the fourth time this season. The right-hander only pitched 5.1 innings in his Opening Day start, but he's lasted at least six innings in each of his last five outings. Cole now carries a 1.43 ERA, 0.72 WHIP and 62:3 K:BB in 37.2 innings this season. He tentatively lines up to make his next start at home against the Astros on Thursday.

Keuchel (1-1) yielded four runs on four hits and four walks across six innings Friday, striking out four and taking a loss against Cleveland.

For the most part, it was a solid outing for Keuchel aside from one nightmare inning. He tossed five shutout frames with an ugly four-run third sandwiched in the middle. The 6-foot-2 lefty raised his season ERA to 4.65 through 31 innings. Keuchel is lined up to face the Royals in Kansas City next weekend.

Bieber (3-2) allowed three runs on seven hits and walk over six innings Friday, fanning 11 and earning a win over the White Sox.

Bieber gave up all three runs during the second and third innings but luckily his offense had already hung four runs on Dallas Keuchel. The 25-year-old righty struck out double-digit batters for the fifth time in six starts but the seven hits allowed are a season-worst for him. Still, he's sporting a strong 2.76 ERA and 68:14 K:BB through 42.1 frames. Bieber is expected to take the mound in Kansas City next week.

Singer underwent X-rays on his left heel after Friday's loss to the Twins that came back negative, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports.

Singer was removed from Friday's contest after just two framess since he was hit by a hard comebacker to end the second inning. However, the right-hander said after the game that he felt better and expects to be ready to make his next start. Singer tentatively lines up to make his next start at home against Cleveland on Wednesday.
