Snell will start Game 1 of Thursday's doubleheader in Baltimore, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

He is coming off one of his two best starts of the season, where he tossed 5.1 scoreless innings while striking out five and picking up the win against Boston. Baltimore ranks 15th in the majors with a 102 wRC+ against southpaws, so it's a neutral matchup in a hitter-friendly ballpark.

Carrasco allowed three earned runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out five across six innings Tuesday against the Cubs. He did not factor into the decision.

Carrasco was solid for the majority of his start, as he allowed only a solo homer through four innings. He stumbled a bit in the fifth frame, allowing four consecutive hits that accounted for two additional runs. Still, It was Carrasco's fourth consecutive quality start, and he's posted a 1.80 ERA and 1.16 WHIP with a 24:6 K:BB across 25 innings in that span. He's in line to take his next turn through the rotation Sunday at Detroit.

Walker (3-3) took the loss Tuesday as the Blue Jays were routed 20-6 by the Yankees, giving up seven runs (but only one earned) on six hits over 1.2 innings. He struck out two.

After a scoreless first inning, the right-hander gave up a one-out double to Gio Urshela in the second before Derek Fisher dropped a routine fly ball on the warning track that would have been the second out of the inning. After Walker struck out Gary Sanchez for what should have been the inning's third out, the floodgates opened and the Yankees laced four straight hits to chase him from the game, including back-to-back homers by Luke Voit and Aaron Hicks. The error by Fisher at least saved Walker's ERA -- he'll take a 3.05 mark with a 1.26 WHIP and 38:17 K:BB through 44.1 innings into his next outing Sunday in Philadelphia.

Houck (1-0) earned the win Tuesday at Miami after allowing two hits and three walks while recording seven strikeouts over five scoreless innings.

The 24-year-old's major-league debut could hardly have gone much better, as he kept the Marlins off the board and didn't give up an extra-base hit. Houck is all but assured to receive another start after an impressive first outing, and he lines up to pitch Sunday against the Yankees.

Teheran allowed four runs on three hits and one walk in two innings against Arizona on Tuesday. He did not factor in the decision.

The veteran didn't give up an exorbitant number of hits, but the three he did yield all left the yard. It was the first time this season that Teheran has allowed three homers in a game, though his 3.07 HR/9 indicates a serious problem with the long ball overall. After a promising appearance against San Diego on Sept. 2, the right-hander has allowed nine earned runs over 6.2 innings across his past two starts. He'll carry an unsightly 8.90 ERA into his next start, currently slated for Sunday at home against Texas.

Dunning (2-0) allowed three hits and two walks while striking out seven across seven innings to earn the win Tuesday against the Twins.

Dunning had little trouble with the Twins' lineup, as the only big hit he surrendered was an inside-the-park home run to Byron Buxton. He has been able to work deeper into games of late, as he's combined to throw 13 innings across his last two starts. Overall, he's maintained a 2.33 ERA with a 28:9 K:BB in his first 27 big-league frames. His next turn through the rotation currently projects to come Sunday at Cincinnati.

Odorizzi (abdomen) will be activated from the 10-day injured list to start Wednesday against the White Sox, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

The 30-year-old has been sidelined since Aug. 21, when he took a liner off his chest, but he's ready to retake the mound Wednesday versus the top team with the best record in the AL. Odorizzi completed two simulated games and reached 81 pitches in his most recent outing, so he shouldn't face significant limitations in his first start off the injured list.

Urquidy (1-1) allowed one earned run on three hits and no walks while striking out seven across seven innings to earn the win Tuesday against the Rangers.

Urquidy's lone run allowed came in the fifth inning, when he allowed three singles in a span of four batters. Otherwise, he was in control as he needed only 90 pitches to record his 21 outs. Urquidy has looked good since making his season debut Sept. 5, as he's now allowed only three earned runs across his last two starts -- spanning 13 frames. This marks the first time this season he's whiffed more than two hitters in an outing.

Boyd (2-6) threw 5.2 innings of two-hit ball during the Tigers' 6-0 victory over the Royals on Tuesday. He walked four and struck out five without allowing a run.

Boyd picked up his second win in four starts. It was his first appearance without allowing a run in 2020. The effort dropped his season ERA to 6.75, which still represents his worst campaign outside of a brief 2015 cup of coffee. Boyd will draw Cleveland in his next start over the weekend.

Hart (hip) was transferred to the 45-day injured list Tuesday, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

The 27-year-old landed on the injured list with a left hip impingement in early September, and he'll now be sidelined for the rest of the season. Hart finishes his first season in the majors having allowed 19 runs on 24 hits with a 13:10 K:BB over 11 innings.
