Miley (12-4) picked up the win against the Tigers on Monday, giving up three earned runs on 10 hits over 5.2 innings, striking out eight and walking none as the Astros won 5-4.

He missed logging a quality start by one out, but it was still a solid outing for the left-hander, as he did well to work around 10 hits and eventually pick up his 12th win of the season. Miley now sports a solid 3.18 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 125:48 K:BB across 147.1 innings on the season.

Gibson (11-6) took the loss against the White Sox on Monday, giving up five earned runs on six hits over 6.2 innings, striking out four and walking one as the Twins fell 6-4.

Gibson worked deep into the game, but he yielded four earned runs in the third inning, which wound up ruining his final stat line and sending him to his sixth loss of the season. It's the second time in his last three starts the right-hander has given up five earned, bumping his ERA up to 4.40 to go along with a 1.31 WHIP and 133:45 K:BB across 139 innings on the season.

Gonzales gave up three runs on five hits and two walks while striking out five through five innings to take the win over the Rays on Monday.

Gonzales allowed a solo home run in the first inning but found a way to rebound for four scoreless innings before allowing two more runs in his final frame. This was just the second time in his last eight starts that Gonzales failed to pitch at least six innings. The 27-year-old has a 4.30 ERA and 121 strikeouts through 27 starts this season. Gonzales will make his next start Sunday against the Blue Jays at T-Mobile Park.

Kluber will likely be shut down from throwing for the next two weeks after leaving Sunday's rehab start for Triple-A Columbus due to an abdominal injury, Paul Hoynes of Cleveland.com reports.

Kluber made his way back to Cleveland on Monday to undergo an MRI, though the team isn't expected to announce the results until Tuesday. Assuming the right-hander is indeed shut down for the next two weeks, his timetable would likely be pushed back to mid-to-late-September, considering he'd need at least a few more rehab starts before being activated from the IL.

Sale (elbow) will miss the remainder of the regular season, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Sale received a platelet-rich plasma injection for his elbow and will be re-evaluated by Dr. James Andrews in six weeks. The news is a huge blow to Boston's chances of making the playoffs; even if the Red Sox make it into the postseason, Sale's recovery timeline makes it unlikely he'll be ready to pitch. On the bright side for Boston, the left-hander is expected to avoid Tommy John surgery after Dr. Andrews confirmed the original diagnosis of elbow inflammation. Sale's treatment plan could change, however, if he doesn't respond well to non-surgical recovery methods.

Heaney will start Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Rangers, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Jaime Barria is slated to start Game 1 of the twin bill, with Heaney getting the ball for Game 2. The southpaw has been solid in a pair of starts since returning from the injured list earlier in the month, posting a 3.38 ERA, 0.75 WHIP and 10:1 K:BB in 10.2 innings.

Cole (hamstring) said he expects to start Thursday against the Tigers, Hunter Atkins of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Cole is on track to rejoin Houston's rotation for Thursday's series finale against Detroit after getting through a bullpen session with no issues Monday. The right-hander hasn't pitched since Aug. 7 due to a sore hamstring; in six second-half starts, Cole is 5-0 with a 2.25 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 56:9 K:BB in 40 innings.

Sale (elbow) will not undergo Tommy John surgery, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Sale received the positive news after a second opinion from Dr. James Andrews confirmed a previous diagnosis of left elbow inflammation. Despite the encouraging news, it remains to be seen whether the southpaw, who struggled to a 5.36 ERA in seven second-half starts prior to landing on the shelf, will pitch again this season.

Snell (elbow) played catch Monday and said everything went well, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

Snell continues to work his way back from elbow surgery he underwent in late July. The southpaw appears to be nearing a return to mound work, at which point a timetable for his return could come into focus.

Glasnow (forearm) said chances are very high that he'll return from the injured list in September, Josh Tolentino of The Athletic reports.

Glasnow said he felt really good after throwing 15 fastballs "close to game speed" Monday in his first bullpen session since suffering a setback in mid-June. The right-hander is scheduled to throw two more bullpen sessions before progressing to live batting practice and ultimately a rehab assignment. According to Juan Toribio of MLB.com, the Rays plan to bring Glasnow back as a reliever, as there isn't enough time left in the season for him to build back up for starting duty.
