Sale (3-9) was charged with the loss Saturday against the Dodgers after surrendering five runs on seven hits across 4.2 innings. He struck out seven and walked one.

Sale gave up five earned runs for the third straight start and was unable to complete five innings for the first time since early April. The veteran left-hander is in the midst of the worst season of his career by a significant margin with a 4.27 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 160:27 K:BB through 111.2 innings. Sale will look to turn things around Thursday versus the Blue Jays.

Odorizzi (11-4) earned the victory Saturday in Cleveland after giving up one run on three hits over 5.1 innings. He struck out two and walked two.

Odorizzi looked solid in his return from the injured list after dealing with a blister, but he was unable to complete the sixth inning after hitting a batter and issuing a walk. The 29-year-old had a 7.85 ERA in his previous four starts before landing on the IL, so it was good to see a return to form after some brief time off. Odorizzi lines up to take the mound next weekend against the Athletics.

Bassitt tossed six scoreless frames to earn a victory against the White Sox on Saturday. He gave up four hits, walked two, and struck out six.

This was a nice way for Bassitt to bounce back after yielding six runs in his last outing before the break. Bassitt is 6-4 with a 3.98 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 81 strikeouts in 83.2 innings this season. The 30-year-old will make his next start Friday in Minnesota.

Morton (11-2) earned the win in Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader at Baltimore after giving up two runs on six hits across six innings. He struck out six and walked one.

Morton got himself into a bases-loaded jam in the fourth inning and gave up a two-run single, but he otherwise kept the Orioles in check during the nightcap. The 35-year-old has given up 10 runs (eight earned) and has a 41:6 K:BB in his last five starts (31.1 innings), and he'll look to continue that trend his next outing, which will likely come Thursday at Yankee Stadium.

Means (7-5) was charged with the loss in Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Rays after surrendering six runs on eight hits over six innings. He had four strikeouts and zero walks.

Means' first start out of the All-Star break was one to forget as he allowed more than three runs for the first time since late April and more than four runs for the first time all season. The 26-year-old came out for the sixth inning looking to complete a quality start, but he instead gave up three runs on three hits in the frame. Means has a 2.94 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 73:22 K:BB over 88.2 innings this season and will look for a rebound performance next weekend against the Red Sox.

Ramirez (elbow) will make at least one more rehab start, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Ramirez has been on a rehab assignment since late May as he works his way back from Tommy John surgery, but he's been unconvincing so far, posting a 7.91 ERA and a 1.76 WHIP in 33 innings. His rehab expires in late July, so he doesn't have too many more chances to prove to the Angels that he's worth a spot on the pitching staff.

Eovaldi (elbow) is expected to join the Red Sox bullpen in about a week, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

Eovaldi has been out since mid-April after undergoing elbow surgery. He's yet to begin a rehab assignment, but he won't need to build up for very long due to his conversion to a relief role. He'll throw to hitters Monday before embarking on what appears to be scheduled as a rather brief rehab assignment. He's expected to close for the Red Sox once active.

Houck was promoted to Triple-A Pawtucket on Saturday, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

Houck threw 82.2 innings for Double-A Portland, recording a decent 4.25 ERA, a number which could have been lower if not for a .346 BABIP. His 22.1 percent strikeout rate and a 8.8 percent walk rate are each fine but not particularly impressive. He has the potential to be a back-end starter long-term, but he'll pitch out of the bullpen for now at Pawtucket.

Bundy (knee tendinitis) is expected to miss just one start, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.

He was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday after dealing with knee tendinitis in his Friday start. The timeline suggests Bundy could return to the rotation on July 23 against the Diamondbacks. Aaron Brooks is reportedly available to start for Bundy on short rest against the Nationals on Wednesday, per Kubatko. Gabriel Ynoa would be another option to make that start.

Eovaldi (elbow) is expected to throw another bullpen session Sunday, Alex Speier of The Boston Globe reports.

Manager Alex Cora said the team wants him to get used to pitching every day. He will likely need to go out on a rehab assignment at some point soon and is then expected to take over the closing duties for the Red Sox.
