Jose Berrios SP | TOR
Twins' Jose Berrios: Lifted early in loss to Yankees
Berrios (12-8) allowed three runs on five hits and four walks across 3.1 innings while taking the loss Tuesday against the Yankees. He struck out four.
Berrios held his own through the first three frames, but he ran his pitch count up while allowing two runs on two hits and a walk before his removal with one out in the fourth. He threw just eight first-pitch strikes to 19 batters and struggled to work from behind in the count. Berrios was coming off a pair of solid outings, with Tuesday representing the first time he didn't complete five innings in a start since early August. He will look to get back on track Sunday against the Tigers.

Marcus Stroman SP | NYY
Blue Jays' Marcus Stroman: Notches 12th win
Stroman (12-8) got the win Tuesday against the Royals after allowing one run on four hits with two walks and five strikeouts over seven innings.
Stroman and Kansas City starter Ian Kennedy had matching shutouts going through five innings, but Kennedy blinked first by allowing a two-run homer to Darwin Barney in the sixth, which was all the support Stroman needed to lock down his first victory since Aug. 16. While he has six quality starts in his past nine outings, Stroman only has two wins to show for those efforts. The righty will look to build on this performance Sunday against the Yankees, but that won't be easy with New York steamrolling opponents of late.

Lucas Giolito SP | SD
White Sox's Lucas Giolito: Tosses quality start against Astros
Giolito (2-3) allowed two runs on seven hits and a walk over 6.2 innings Tuesday against the Astros. He struck out three and was saddled with the loss.
Giolito pitched well Tuesday but was stuck with the loss after the White Sox's offense was only able to muster up one run on the night. After appearing overmatched at the big-league level with the Nationals last season (6.75 ERA over 21.1 IP), the young righty has looked much more composed with his new organization in 2017, as he now holds a 2.58 ERA in his six starts since being recalled on Aug. 22. He lines up for a start against the Royals on Sunday.

Kevin Gausman SP | CHC
Orioles' Kevin Gausman: Deliver eight scoreless innings in no-decision Tuesday
Gausman tossed eight scoreless innings in a no-decision against the Red Sox on Tuesday, allowing three hits with two walks and seven strikeouts.
Gausman was superb in this one, receiving 24 called strikes as he kept the Boston lineup off balance. He induced 10 groundball outs while reaching seven strikeouts for just the second time in his last eight starts. Unfortunately, Drew Pomeranz and the Red Sox's bullpen kept pace with Gausman, who wasn't in line to earn a win despite his terrific performance. He has been terrific in four of his last five starts and will look to continue his recent success Sunday against the Rays.

Charlie Morton SP | ATL
Astros' Charlie Morton: Next start comes Saturday
Morton's next start will come Saturday against the Angels, Jake Kaplan of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Morton's next outing will come eight days after his last one; manager A.J. Hinch is starting to align his starters for the postseason, so he will move both Dallas Keuchel and Justin Verlander ahead of Morton in the rotation. Morton has faced the Angels twice this season and is 1-0 with a 2.70 ERA and 8:3 K:BB over 10 innings.

Dylan Bundy SP | NYM
Orioles' Dylan Bundy: Will continue starting
Manager Buck Showalter said Tuesday that there currently are no plans to shut down Bundy before the regular season ends, Eduardo A. Encina of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Bundy has a lengthy injury history and has already thrown 60 more innings than the 109.2 frames he threw last year -- his most in a season as a professional -- but the Orioles are apparently comfortable with his stamina and his health and will keep him in the rotation as they continue their playoff push. Baltimore's chances are fading fast though, and the team could change course with Bundy if it is officially knocked out of the race.

Luis Severino SP | ATH
Yankees' Luis Severino: Will start Wednesday
Severino will start Wednesday against the Twins in place of Masahiro Tanaka, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
The Yankees were originally planning to use Tanaka in the series finale, but they decided to change course and bump Severino up, giving them the option of using Severino for three more regular-season starts if necessary. Severino will be pitching on normal rest Wednesday, and he will face a Twins lineup that -- regardless who it includes -- will contain solely players who have never faced him before.

Shane Bieber SP | TOR
Indians' Shane Bieber: Breezes through three levels in 2017
Bieber -- who worked his way from Low-A Lake County to Double-A Akron in 2017 -- finished the minor-league season with a 10-5 record, 2.86 ERA and 1.13 WHIP over 28 starts.
In just his second professional season, the Tribe's 2016 fourth-round pick tore through the organization's minor-league ladder. Bieber's 162:10 K:BB was simply unreal, and his ability to dominate at three levels without a problem was more than impressive. The 22-year-old right-hander actually got better as the competition stiffened, lowering his ERA and BAA at each stop along the journey. Bieber has earned himself a nice long look in next spring's camp, but a spot in the big-league rotation is still at least two years away, assuming he continues to have success.

Dylan Bundy SP | NYM
Orioles' Dylan Bundy: Allows six runs in no-decision Monday
Bundy allowed six runs on seven hits and one walk across 4.1 innings in a no-decision Monday against the Red Sox. He struck out two.
Bundy, who allowed just one run through four innings, struggled in the fifth to the tune of five runs on four hits and a walk before his removal with one out. He threw 67 percent of his pitches for strikes but missed over the plate several times and paid the price. Bundy has alternated strong starts with poor outings over his last four turns, and he'll look to get back on track Sunday against the Rays.

Aaron Civale RP | CHC
Indians' Aaron Civale: Looks ready for Double-A after strong 2017
Civale wrapped up a successful 2017 campaign with a 13-6 record, 3.28 ERA and 1.06 WHIP over 27 combined starts for Low-A Lake County and High-A Lynchburgh.
Cleveland's third-round pick in 2016 didn't look great through 10 starts at Lake County (4.58 ERA), but his 53:5 K:BB over 57 innings was enough to earn a promotion. Upon joining Lynchburgh, Civale took his game to the next level. In 17 starts for the Hillcats, the right-hander went 11-2 while logging a 2.59 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 88:9 K:BB over 107.2 innings. Civale likely earned a place in the minors' upper levels next season after his 2017 breakout campaign.
