The Rays placed Pepiot on 15-day injured list Sunday with a right knee infection.

Tampa Bay hadn't previously provided any indication that Pepiot was battling an infection, as he had already been confirmed to start Tuesday in Toronto. The Rays will now need to find a spot starter for Tuesday, but Jeffrey Springs (elbow) -- who is expected to make his final rehab appearance at Triple-A Durham on Sunday before being activated from the 60-day injured list -- should eventually take over Pepiot's spot in the rotation. A timeline for Pepiot's return won't be available until he's cleared to resume throwing.

Maeda allowed three runs on three hits across two innings of relief in Saturday's 7-3 win over the Blue Jays. He struck out one.

Maeda was effective in his first relief appearance of the year when he tossed 3.2 scoreless innings in the final game before the All-Star break. However, his second appearance did not go as well, with a Vladimir Guerrero two-run home run accounting for a big chunk of the damage. Madea has struggled throughout his first season with the Tigers, as he's now sitting with a career-worst 7.07 ERA across 71.1 innings. It seems unlikely that the veteran will rejoin the rotation anytime soon, and his fantasy value remains low given his current role and ineffectiveness. However, Reese Olson (shoulder) did leave Saturday's start early, which could open up a spot at least in the short term if he's forced to miss any time.

Bello did not factor into the decision in a loss to the Dodgers on Saturday, allowing three runs on five hits and one walk over six innings while striking out seven.

Bello struck out four of the first six batters he faced in the contest prior to surrendering a solo homer to Gavin Lux in the bottom of the second. The right-hander was then able to hold the Dodgers scoreless over the next three frames before allowing three of the first four batters to reach in the sixth, leading to two more runs coming across for Los Angeles. Bello had won each of his previous three starts coming in and now holds a 28:5 K:BB in July. He's also logged a quality start in back-to-back outings and in four of his last six overall.

Cannon allowed four runs on eight hits and no walks while striking out four batters over six innings in a loss to the Royals on Saturday.

Cannon looked like he could be in for a short outing after giving up four runs through two frames, but he recovered thereafter and didn't allow any additional runners to score for the rest of his start. The right-hander completed exactly six innings for the third straight appearance, though he has just one quality start during that span. Cannon has been doing enough to maintain his spot in Chicago's rotation, but he hasn't been an impactful arm in fantasy, as he has an unimpressive 6.9 K/9 and a mediocre 4.41 ERA through 51.0 innings.

Singer (6-6) earned the win over the White Sox on Saturday, allowing five hits and issuing two walks while striking out seven batters over seven scoreless innings.

All five of Chicago's hits against Singer were singles, and he needed an efficient 93 pitches to get through seven frames. The right-hander has completed at least seven innings in three of his past five outings, and he has given up more than one run just once over his past six starts. Over that span, Singer has recorded a 2.12 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 30:11 K:BB across 34.0 innings.

Rodriguez (12-4) earned the win over Texas on Saturday, allowing two runs on three hits and two walks while striking out eight batters over six innings.

Rodriguez was staked to a 4-0 lead in the top of the second inning, but he gave up a pair of runs to split the advantage in half in the bottom of the frame. However, those were the only tallies Texas managed against him, and the right-hander ended with his 12th win -- second most in the majors -- and 10th quality start. Four of those quality starts have come over Rodriguez's past five outings.

Lopez allowed a run on four hits and a walk while striking out seven over seven innings in a no-decision versus the Brewers on Saturday.

Lopez limited the damage to an RBI single by Jackson Chourio in the third inning, but the Twins didn't get on the board until the eighth. This was Lopez's third quality start in his last five outings. Minnesota's ace has had a few too many duds this year, giving him a 4.86 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 128:24 K:BB through 111 innings over 20 starts. He's projected to make his next start at Detroit.

Blackburn (foot) started Triple-A Las Vegas' loss to Salt Lake on Saturday night and was charged with the loss, allowing seven runs (five earned) on eight hits and two walks over 2.2 innings. He struck out one.

Blackburn bumped up his rehab assignment to Triple-A after making his first two appearances with Single-A Stockton. The right-hander immediately got off on the wrong foot by allowing a leadoff homer to MLB veteran Jake Marisnick, who also got to Blackburn for an RBI double in the third inning. In all, Blackburn worked up to 49 pitches, but he located only 26 for strikes. Given he's been ineffective in two of his first three rehab appearances, Blackburn appears set to make at least a couple more starts with an affiliate in an effort to build up some confidence ahead of activation.

Williams (0-2) allowed three runs on six hits and two walks while striking out five over 3.2 innings, taking the loss Saturday versus the Padres.

The Guardians mustered just two baserunners, giving Williams next to nothing for support. He had a particularly rough fourth inning, loading the bases and allowing all three runs on his line in that frame on three hits, two walks and a hit-by-pitch. This was the shortest of four starts for Williams so far, and it looks like he's still shaking off some rust after missing the first three months of the year with an elbow injury. Williams has a 4.50 ERA, 1.56 WHIP and 14:8 K:BB over 18 innings this season. The right-hander's next start is projected to come at home versus the Tigers.

Scherzer was pulled after two innings in his start in Saturday's 8-4 loss to the Orioles after experiencing right arm fatigue during the outing, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports. The right-hander took the loss and dropped to 1-3 on the season after giving up four earned runs on five hits and two walks while striking out one batter.

Scherzer threw 53 pitches through two frames, and though he was initially preparing to go back in the game for the top of the third inning, he and manager Bruce Bochy decided it was for the best to turn the game over to the bullpen. The three-time Cy Young Award winner spent almost three months on the injured list to start the season due to back, thumb and forearm injuries before being activated June 23. He was stretched out to 95 pitches by his fourth start, but has now been limited to 71 and 53 pitches in his last two appearances. While Scherzer shared optimism that the arm fatigue is a short-term concern, it wouldn't be surprising if the 39-year-old's workload in future starts remained somewhat limited. He tentatively lines up to make his next start Thursday against the White Sox in Arlington.
