Stroman dropped to 10-8 in Monday's 6-5 loss to the Reds after allowing six runs on six hits and two walks while striking out two batters over three innings.

Stroman got through a scoreless first frame Monday before giving up three runs in each of the second and third innings. He wasn't allowed to go back out for the fourth, ending with his second-shortest start of the campaign. Stroman picked up a win and a quality start in his first outing following the All-Star break, but he's imploded since, allowing 17 earned runs over 10 frames while recording a 10:8 K:BB in his past three appearances. The veteran looked like he could be in the NL Cy Young conversation after posting a 9-4 record with a 2.28 ERA across his first 16 starts of the campaign, but he's well out of earshot for that award now that his ERA has climbed all the way up to 3.85.

Gomber allowed two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out five over six innings in a no-decision during Monday's 4-3 extra-inning win over San Diego.

After an unsteady June, Gomber was able to post a quality start in four of his five outings in July. He allowed 11 runs (10 earned) over 30 innings this month, though he's also gone three starts without a win. The southpaw is at a 5.68 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 77:32 K:BB through 114 innings over 22 starts this season, though his recent pitching has made him one of the Rockies' more reliable starters. Gomber is lined up for a road start in St. Louis over the weekend.

Abbott pitched 3.1 innings in a no-decision Monday in the Reds' 6-5 win over the Cubs, allowing four runs on five hits and three walks while striking out five batters.

Abbott was handed a 6-1 lead through the middle of the the third frame, but he was unable to convert that to a win. The rookie allowed Chicago to quickly get back into the contest with a three-run bottom of the third, and he was pulled with one out in the fourth after 76 pitches, only 45 of which were strikes. The outing was the shortest of Abbott's career and snapped a string of three straight quality starts. Despite the poor performance, there's no reason for Abbott's fantasy managers to panic -- he came into Monday having tossed two straight scoreless starts and still holds an impressive 2.35 ERA and 1.03 WHIP on the campaign.

Wood allowed two runs on one hit and two walks while striking out two over 2.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Diamondbacks on Monday.

For his second outing in a row, Wood worked as a de facto piggyback to Jakob Junis, who started the game with three scoreless innings. Wood has completed five innings just three times in nine outings since he returned from a back strain. The Giants have shown little interest in stretching him back out, so it appears his best path to wins will come as a bulk reliever. Wood has a 4.83 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 53:32 K:BB through 63.1 innings over 17 appearances (11 starts) this year.

Morton (10-9) took the loss against the Angels on Monday, allowing three runs on six hits and three walks while striking out eight batters over six innings.

Morton allowed plenty of traffic on the basepaths, but it was the long ball that did him in -- all three runs against the veteran came on solo home runs. Despite his trouble keeping the ball in the park, Morton was able to turn in a respectable outing, racking up 23 swinging strikes and eight punchouts while picking up his ninth quality start of the campaign. The 39-year-old has lost each of his past three starts, but he's been an asset overall this season, collecting 10 wins while posting a 3.62 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 128:54 K:BB over 119.1 innings.

Nelson allowed two runs on five hits and three walks while striking out one over 6.2 innings in a no-decision during Monday's 4-3 win over the Giants in 11 innings.

Aside from the lack of strikeouts, it was a strong showing for Nelson following his five-run mess against the Cardinals a week ago. The right-hander had quality starts in three of his six outings in July, though he continues to mix in fairly equal shares of good and bad performances. For the season, he's at a 4.84 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 75:36 K:BB through 119 innings over 22 starts. Nelson is projected for a road start in Minnesota this weekend.

Irvin allowed two runs on six hits and two walks over 5.1 innings in Monday's win over Milwaukee. He struck out two and dd not factor in the decision.

Irvin gave up one run through five innings before putting three straight Brewers on base in the sixth, ending his outing. He was tagged with 11 runs in just 15.2 innings over his previous three outings before Monday's decent performance. Irvin registered a 5.06 ERA across six July starts, raising his season ERA to 4.86 through 79.2 frames. His next outing is currently lined up for this weekend in Cincinnati.

Burnes allowed two runs on four hits and three walks over six innings in Monday's loss to Washington. He struck out five and did not factor in the decision.

Burnes turned in six quality starts in July, registering an impressive 1.85 ERA and 47:13 K:BB through 39 innings during that span. He allowed two or fewer runs in each of those six outings. His season ERA has dropped to 3.44 with a 136:46 K:BB through 22 starts. Burnes is currently projected to face the Pirates at home this weekend.

Cabrera did not factor into the decision Monday, allowing two runs on two hits and six walks over three innings against Philadelphia. He struck out three.

It was another abbreviated outing for Cabrera after he pitched just two innings before departing against Tampa Bay with a blister in his prior start. Cabrera's line ultimately could've been much worse, as he was only charged with two runs despite issuing six walks. Command has been a problem for the 25-year-old Cabrera so far this season -- his walk rate is up to 14.3%. Overall, Cabrera is 5-6 with a 4.79 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 93:52 K:BB across 17 starts (77 innings) this year.

Walker (12-4) earned the win Monday, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks over 6.2 innings against the Marlins. He struck out four.

After allowing a two-run homer to Jorge Soler in the first inning, Walker rebounded to blank Miami over his next 5.2 frames to earn his 12th win. The 30-year-old Walker is now 8-1 over his last 10 starts, with a 2.45 ERA in that span. Overall, his ERA is down to 3.99 with a 1.27 WHIP and 102:48 K:BB across 22 starts (119.2 innings) this season. Walker's next outing is currently lined up as a home matchup with the Royals this weekend.
