Marquez allowed seven runs (six earned) on seven hits and three walks while striking out five across five innings in the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Marlins. He did not factor into the decision.

Marquez served up three home runs to account for the majority of the damage against him, the third time this season he's allowed multiple long balls in a start. He's been particularly poor of late, allowing 15 earned runs across his last 17 innings spanning three appearances. For the campaign, Marquez has a 6.71 ERA with a 46:17 K:BB across 55 frames.

Rogers allowed five earned runs on five hits and five walks while striking out two across 3.2 innings in the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Rockies. He did not factor into the decision.

Rogers turned in a scoreless first inning but struggled thereafter. In addition to allowing a solo home run to Brendan Rodgers, Rogers walked three batters to load the bases in the third frame followed by a bases-clearing triple. While Wednesday's struggles can be attributed in part to Coors Field, Rogers has allowed 13 earned runs across 12.2 frames combined across his last three starts. He now owns a 5.80 ERA with a poor 39:21 K:BB across 45 innings on the season.

Cabrera (1-0) allowed a hit, four walks and two hit batters while striking out nine over six shutout innings to earn the win in Game 1 of Wednesday's doubleheader versus the Rockies.

Cabrera didn't have the cleanest of starts by any means, but he was able to pitch around his mistakes rather impressively given the unfriendly road venue. The lack of command is a bit concerning -- he threw just 59 of 94 pitches for strikes -- yet this was a positive result for the 24-year-old top prospect. He's been adequate with Triple-A Jacksonville, logging a 4.56 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 32:12 K:BB across 23.2 innings. Cabrera's not guaranteed another turn through the rotation, so fantasy managers may want to wait and see if he sticks around on the Marlins' roster.

Senzatela (2-3) allowed six runs on 13 hits and struck out three in a loss to the Marlins in Game 1 of Wednesday's doubleheader.

Senzatela missed two weeks with a back injury, and his return didn't go very well. Seven of the Marlins' nine starting hitters logged multiple hits in the contest, which saw the visitors rack up 21 hits overall. The right-hander has given up five or more runs in three of his eight appearances this year. He now has a 5.40 ERA, 1.97 WHIP and 14:8 K:BB through 35 innings. Senzatela will look to limit the baserunners on the road in San Francisco in his projected start next week.

Darvish (4-3) took the loss Wednesday versus the Cardinals. He allowed five runs on seven hits and two walks with four strikeouts in 7.2 innings.

Darvish was efficient, throwing 68 of 95 pitches for strikes, but he faltered a bit toward the end of the start. Nolan Arenado accounted for most of the damage against the right-hander, tagging him for a two-run home run and an RBI single. Darvish has lost consecutive starts for the first time this year, but Wednesday was his longest appearance of the year. He now has a 4.03 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 48:15 K:BB across 60.1 innings in 10 starts. He'll look to get back in the win column next week at home versus the Mets.

Carrasco (6-1) allowed four hits and five walks with five strikeouts in five shutout innings, earning the win Wednesday versus the Nationals.

Carrasco showed an unusual lack of control, but the Nationals' offense wasn't able to punish him for it. This was the right-hander's fifth win in his last six starts since the beginning of May, though he hasn't completed six innings in his last four outings. He's at a 3.63 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 51:13 K:BB through 57 innings in 10 starts overall. Carrasco projects for a tougher road start versus the Padres next week.

Kershaw (pelvis) threw 30-35 pitches in a bullpen session Wednesday, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Kershaw has been on the 15-day injured list since May 13, but he's topped 30 pitches in bullpen sessions twice in the last three days. Manager Dave Roberts said Wednesday that the team has had discussions about sending the left-hander on a rehab assignment as early as this weekend. If Kershaw ultimately reports to a minor-league affiliate this weekend, he's expected to throw at least three innings and could require at least two rehab appearances prior to rejoining the Dodgers.

Pirates director of sports medicine Todd Tomcyzk said Wednesday that Priester (oblique) should return to game action soon, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Priester threw live BP last week and responded well, so he's close to being cleared to pitch in games. It's possible that the right-hander will have a rehab assignment before rejoining Double-A Altoona.

Alexander had his contract selected from Triple-A Nashville ahead of his start against the Cubs on Wednesday.

The Brewers announced Alexander as Wednesday's starter following Tuesday's loss in Chicago, and he's now officially been added to the 40-man roster. The 29-year-old has a 2.64 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 33:12 K:BB across 47.2 innings for Nashville this season, and with a decent performance, he could receive additional opportunities in Milwaukee's rotation since Brandon Woodruff (ankle) and Freddy Peralta (lat) are sidelined.

Smyly was placed on the 15-day injured list with a right oblique strain Wednesday, retroactive to May 31.

Smyly exited Monday's nightcap against the Brewers due to a right oblique issue, and he'll land on the injured list after being diagnosed with a strain. It's not yet clear when he'll be able to return, and the Cubs haven't announced who will take his place in the rotation.
