Wade Miley SP | CIN
Reds' Wade Miley: Only 1.2 innings in return
Miley allowed one run on two hits and two walks over 1.2 innings in a loss to the Royals on Wednesday. He struck out two batters.
As Mark Sheldon of MLB.com noted, Miley looked like he may have hurt himself covering first base on a groundout in the second inning. The lefty stayed in the game initially, but walked the next batter and was then lifted at 44 pitches. Miley was just making his return from a groin injury. Tyler Mahle endured some struggles of his own in relief of Miley on Wednesday, but Mahle pitched well as a starter during Miley's absence and it would be an easy switch for the Reds to make in their rotation, whether it be for performance or health reasons.

Zach Eflin SP | BAL
Phillies' Zach Eflin: Mixed results in second start
Eflin (0-1) allowed four earned runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out 10 across six innings to take the loss Wednesday against the Orioles.
Eflin got through the Orioles' lineup one time cleanly, but ran into trouble thereafter. That began when he allowed a solo home run to Anthony Santander in the third inning, but continued with earned runs in both the fourth and fifth frames. More positively, he did throw 91 pitches and ended the outing with a clean sixth inning. He also showcased a strong ability to miss bats, racking up 19 swinging strikes to back up his 10 punch outs. Eflin currently lines up to draw his next start Tuesday at Boston.

Eric Lauer SP | LAD
Brewers' Eric Lauer: Rough outing against Twins
Lauer (0-2) allowed seven runs on nine hits and two walks over 3.2 innings in a loss to the Twins on Wednesday. He struck out two.
Lauer also hit Nelson Cruz with a pitch in the disastrous outing. The 25-year-old Lauer has given up 13 runs over just 6.2 innings in his last two starts. The southpaw could be at risk of losing his spot in the rotation to Corbin Burnes. If Lauer gets another start, it would likely come in a rematch with the Twins on Tuesday.

Kyle Hendricks SP | LAA
Cubs' Kyle Hendricks: Earns third win
Hendricks (3-1) allowed one earned run on seven hits and no walks while striking out five across six innings to earn the win Wednesday against Cleveland.
Hendricks faced more than four Cleveland hitters in only one inning to put together his third quality start of the campaign. His only trouble came in the fifth frame, when he allowed three singles and the only run against him to cross the plate. Through 26.1 innings this season, Hendricks maintains a 3.08 ERA and a stellar 20:2 K:BB. He's currently in line to make his fifth start of the campaign Monday against St. Louis.

Antonio Senzatela RP | MIL
Rockies' Antonio Senzatela: Falters in no-decision
Senzatela gave up five runs on nine hits and zero walks over six innings during Wednesday's 13-7 loss to the Diamondbacks. He had four strikeouts and didn't factor in the decision.
The 25-year-old allowed two earned runs or fewer in each of his first three starts, but he was unable to replicate that success versus Arizona. Senzatela has a 3.91 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 18:5 K:BB through 23 innings, and he lines up to pitch Tuesday at Houston.

Jose Quintana SP | COL
Cubs' Jose Quintana: Sim game goes well
Quintana (thumb) didn't have any issues during his three-inning simulated game Tuesday, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
Manager David Ross said Wednesday that Quintana's thumb wasn't an issue during his most recent throwing session. However, Ross said that there still isn't a timeline for the southpaw's return. He's progressed consistently throughout his recovery process, but the team appears to be building his workload back up. While the Cubs haven't revealed how they plan to use Quintana once he joins to the major-league club, the team's commitment to build him up prior to his return suggests that he could rejoin the starting rotation.

Michael Wacha SP | KC
Mets' Michael Wacha: Throws from 75 feet
Wacha (shoulder) threw from 75 feet Tuesday, Justin Toscano of The Bergen Record reports.
Wacha landed on the 10-day injured list Sunday with right shoulder inflammation, but he was able to resume throwing just two days later. He reportedly felt good following the throwing session. A timeline for his return hasn't been established, but his progress has been encouraging so far.

Wade Miley SP | CIN
Reds' Wade Miley: Activated ahead of start
Miley (groin) was activated from the injured list as expected ahead of his scheduled start against the Royals on Wednesday.
Miley made just one awful start before landing on the injured list with a groin injury, allowing six runs (five earned) while recording just five outs. Joe Kuhnel was optioned in a corresponding move.

Dustin May SP | MIL
Dodgers' Dustin May: Rotation spot not guaranteed
May's place in the rotation when Alex Wood (shoulder) returns to the rotation remains uncertain, Alyson Footer of MLB.com reports. "Dustin's done nothing but show his value to our ballclub," Dodgers manager Dave Roberts stated. "He's still establishing himself as a big-league pitcher and understanding how to navigate lineups, but obviously there's three starts and he's been very good for us. When that time comes, we'll continue to discuss it. But Dustin is certainly doing everything he can."
The right-hander has been a fixture of the Dodgers' rotation to begin the campaign due to early-season injuries to Clayton Kershaw and Wood. May has thrived in the role, posting a 2.75 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 17:5 K:BB over 19.2 innings. May's next start is scheduled for Sunday against the Angels, and while that turn appears safe, Wood has resumed throwing, though a timeline for his return remains uncertain.

Trevor Williams RP | TEX
Pirates' Trevor Williams: Locked in for Thursday's start
Williams is slated to start Thursday's game against the Reds.
Williams will be making his first start in more than a week after he was initially slated to start Monday against the Cardinals before the entire three-game series was postponed due to a COVID-19 outbreak among St. Louis players and staff. The right-hander has made three turns through the rotation this season, going 0-3 with a 3.52 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 14:5 K:BB across 15.1 innings.
