Noah Syndergaard SP | CLE
Mets' Noah Syndergaard: Lands on injured list
Syndergaard (hamstring) was placed on the 10-day injured list Sunday, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.
Syndergaard was forced to exit Saturday's start against the Cardinals after suffering a right hamstring strain during the seventh inning. The 26-year-old is without a timeline for his return, but he is undergoing an MRI on Sunday to determine the severity of the injury. Robinson Cano (quadriceps) was activated off the IL in a corresponding move.

Vince Velasquez RP | KC
Phillies' Vince Velasquez: Starting Sunday's game
Velasquez will draw the start for Sunday's game against the Braves, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.
Considering he hasn't made a start since May 6 or worked more than two innings since transitioning to the bullpen, Velasquez is expected to function as more of an opener than a traditional spot starter. It's expected that the Phillies will recall Cole Irvin from Triple-A Lehigh Valley prior to the contest, with the lefty likely to cover the bulk of the innings for Philadelphia once Velasquez departs.

Walker Buehler SP | SD
Dodgers' Walker Buehler: Robbed of eighth win
Buehler didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's 2-1 loss to the Cubs, allowing two hits over seven scoreless innings while striking out six.
The right-hander took a perfect game into the fourth inning and a no-hitter into the sixth, and Buehler seemed headed for his eighth win of the year before Kenley Jansen served up a two-run homer to Anthony Rizzo in the ninth. Buehler will take a 3.06 ERA and 84:13 K:BB through 82.1 innings into his next start Thursday, at home against the Giants.

Yu Darvish SP | SD
Cubs' Yu Darvish: Fans 10 in no-decision
Darvish didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Dodgers, allowing one run on two hits and a walk over seven innings while striking out 10.
The right-hander's only real mistake resulted in an Alex Verdugo solo shot in the fourth inning, but that held up as the only run of the game until Anthony Rizzo played hero with a two-run shot off Kenley Jansen in the ninth. Darvish has been pitching better lately, posting a 2.96 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and 24:7 K:BB through 24.1 innings over his last four trips to the mound, but he still can't seem to generate any real momentum -- he has yet to deliver consecutive quality starts this season. He'll look to break that pattern Friday, at home against the Mets.

German Marquez SP | SD
Rockies' German Marquez: Carried to win by offense
Marquez (7-3) picked up the win in Saturday's 14-8 slugfest over the Padres, surrendering seven runs on 10 hits and four walks over 5.2 innings while striking out eight.
The Rockies piled up 11 runs in the first five frames, giving Marquez plenty of cushion to work with -- and he needed most of it. The right-hander is in a rut, posting a 7.42 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and 31:11 K:BB over his last five starts and 30.1 innings, with four of those coming at Coors Field. He'll get a chance to turn things around closer to sea level in his next outing Friday, on the road against the Dodgers.

Eric Lauer SP | LAD
Padres' Eric Lauer: Wrecked by Rockies
Lauer (5-6) took the loss Saturday, coughing up five runs on 10 hits and two walks over 2.2 innings while striking out two as the Padres were downed 14-8 by the Rockies.
While he managed to keep the ball in the yard, the Rockies pummeled Lauer for four doubles among the 10 hits in a typical Coors Field slugfest. The southpaw will carry a 4.60 ERA and 59:22 K:BB through 74.1 innings into his next start Friday in Pittsburgh.

Aaron Nola SP | PHI
Phillies' Aaron Nola: Bailed out by late comeback
Nola didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's 6-5 win over Atlanta, giving up five runs on six hits and two walks over 4.1 innings while striking out four.
The right-hander was on the hook for his second loss of the season before the Phillies rallied in the ninth inning off Atlanta closer Luke Jackson. Nola has been alternating quality starts with shakier ones since mid-April, a pattern that bodes well for his next outing Thursday against the Nationals, but it's left him with a disappointing 4.89 ERA on the season despite a strong 90:36 K:BB through 81 innings.

Pablo Lopez SP | MIN
Marlins' Pablo Lopez: Captures fifth victory
Lopez (5-5) allowed three runs on seven hits with four strikeouts and one walk across seven innings to earn a victory over the Pirates on Saturday.
While he did yield three runs, the 23-year-old continued his masterful pitching at home. At Marlins Park, Lopez is 3-1 with a 2.13 ERA this season, but he is 2-4 with a 6.82 ERA on the road. It all balances out to a 5-5 record, 4.23 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 73 strikeouts in 76.2 innings. Lopez's next outing will be in St. Louis on Thursday.

Michael Wacha SP | KC
Cardinals' Michael Wacha: Crushed by Mets
Wacha (4-3) took the loss Saturday against the Mets after giving up six runs (five earned) on seven hits over four innings. He struck out four and walked one.
The Mets wasted little time getting to Wacha as they put up five runs during the first inning, including a 458-foot, three-run homer from Pete Alonso. The right-hander fired six scoreless innings in his return to the starting rotation last Monday but found the other end of the spectrum Saturday. Assuming he sticks in the rotation for another turn, Wacha lines up to start Thursday versus the Marlins.

Noah Syndergaard SP | CLE
Mets' Noah Syndergaard: Sustains hamstring strain
Syndergaard was removed from Saturday's start against the Cardinals with a right hamstring strain, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
Syndergaard exited the game in the middle of an at-bat during the seventh inning Saturday, grabbing at his right hamstring as he exited the field. The severity of the injury remains unclear, but the fact the team is already calling it a strain likely doesn't bode well for the 26-year-old.
