Tyler Mahle SP | ATL
Reds' Tyler Mahle: Fans six in Wednesday's loss
Mahle (1-3) took the loss against the Brewers on Wednesday, allowing two runs on seven hits and four walks over five innings while striking out six.
The right-hander served up a two-run homer to Eric Thames in the third inning, and those proved to be the only runs in the game. Mahle's command wasn't quite there Wednesday, as his four walks were more than he had in his first three starts of the season combined, but he has a strong 8.6 K/9 through 21 innings. The rookie will take a 5.14 ERA into his next outing Tuesday at home against the Braves.

Kyle Freeland SP | COL
Rockies' Kyle Freeland: Battered by Bucs on Wednesday
Freeland (0-3) took the loss against the Pirates on Wednesday, giving up five runs on six hits and two walks over four-plus innings while striking out two.
The left-hander's now failed to escape the fifth inning in each of his last two starts. While Freeland's 17:9 K:BB in 20 innings isn't terrible, it's accompanied by a 5.85 ERA and elevated 2.3 HR/9, and that's with only one of his four outings so far this season coming at Coors Field. He'll head back home to take on the Padres at altitude Tuesday.

Wade Miley SP | CIN
Brewers' Wade Miley: Set to increase to 60 pitches
Miley (groin) will throw 60 or more pitches in his next rehab start, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
The Brewers were pleased with Miley's first rehab appearance Tuesday. He's set to increase his pitch count in his next one and could then be ready to return to the big leagues. With ERAs of 5.37 and 5.61 in the past two seasons, though, he's unlikely to be much of a fantasy asset even if he works his way into the rotation in Milwaukee.

Miles Mikolas RP | WAS
Cardinals' Miles Mikolas: Start bumped back to Sunday
Mikolas' next start will come Sunday against the Reds, Joe Trezza of MLB.com reports.
The Cardinals have had two postponements in three days, causing a shuffling of their rotation. Mikolas was set to pitch Saturday but has been jumped in the order by Carlos Martinez. He'll now pitch on a full seven days' rest, having last pitched Saturday against the Reds.

Carlos Martinez SP | SF
Cardinals' Carlos Martinez: Start bumped up to Saturday
Martinez's next start will come Saturday against the Reds, Joe Trezza of MLB.com reports.
The Cardinals have had two games postponed in a span of three days, causing some shuffling of their rotation. Martinez will jump ahead of Miles Mikolas in the rotation, as Mikolas will now slide back to Sunday. If St. Louis wanted to keep Martinez on four days' rest, it could bump him ahead of Michael Wacha as well and throw him Friday, but the Cards seem to have settled on giving him one extra day and throwing him Saturday instead.

Zack Wheeler SP | PHI
Mets' Zack Wheeler: Takes loss in quality start
Wheeler took the loss against the Nationals on Tuesday, allowing three runs over six innings on seven hits and three walks with two strikeouts.
In his second start off the disabled list, Wheeler looked good in Tuesday's outing. He surrendered just two extra-base hits in six innings (both were doubles by Trea Turner), and he stretched it out to 99 pitches on the evening. Wheeler was limited to 17 starts last year due to injuries, and he's looking to earn a regular spot in the Mets' rotation with the return date for Jason Vargas (hand) looming. The 27-year-old will start Sunday against the Braves in Atlanta, but he could be replaced by Vargas in his following turn through the rotation.

Trevor Williams RP | TEX
Pirates' Trevor Williams: Takes loss in quality start
Williams (3-1) struck out four and walked three in Tuesday's loss to the Rockies, giving up two runs on four hits in six innings.
Williams pitched well but was outdueled by Rockies starter Chad Bettis, taking his first loss of the season in a quality start. The two runs Williams allowed were on an RBI groundout by Carlos Gonzalez in the first and an RBI single by Ryan McMahon in the fourth. Through four starts, Williams has a 1.93 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 14:10 K:BB ratio. He'll head to Philadelphia for a weekend matchup with the Phillies.

Alex Wood RP | ATH
Dodgers' Alex Wood: Strong in no-decision
Wood gave up a run (none earned) on two hits and a walk while striking out seven over 5.1 innings Tuesday. He did not factor into the decision in an extra-inning win over the Padres.
Wood was shelled in his previous start, so Tuesday's outing should help ease his owners' thoughts, even though he didn't end up with the victory. The southpaw was aggresive against a light-hitting Padres squad while throwing first-pitch strikes to 15 of the 20 batters he faced, finishing with 50 strikes to just 27 balls at the end of his night. Wood will look to pick up his first win of the season in another favorable matchup against the Marlins on Monday.

Adam Wainwright SP | STL
Cardinals' Adam Wainwright: Gets first win Tuesday
Wainwright (1-2) got the win Tuesday, allowing one run (unearned) on four hits and four walks while striking out five over five innings against the Cubs.
Wainwright also hit a pair of batters and put at least one runner on base in all five innings. The veteran induced just three groundball outs versus seven flyouts, but he was able to keep the ball in the yard this time after yielding two home runs his last time out. The 36-year-old has posted an ERA north of 4.60 each of the past two seasons, and his underlying numbers this year suggest his 3.45 ERA is ripe for regression. He's slated to take the hill again next Tuesday against the Mets.

Johnny Cueto SP | LAA
Giants' Johnny Cueto: Dominates Diamondbacks in first start back from DL
Cueto (ankle) got a hard-luck no-decision against the Diamondbacks on Tuesday, giving up just two hits over seven innings, striking out 11 and walking none in San Francisco's 1-0 defeat to Arizona.
Cueto was dominant in his first start coming off the disabled list and was unlucky to be on the short end of what turned out to be the pitching duel of the season so far with counterpart Patrick Corbin. Even though it was disappointing to see him not get a win after posting such a brilliant stat line, it's still been an extremely encouraging start to the season for Cueto, who has given up just one earned run in his first 20 innings after a disappointing campaign last year that saw him post a 4.52 ERA. He certainly looks poised for a bounce-back and he'll carry a brilliant 0.45 ERA and 0.65 WHIP into his next start against the Angels on Sunday.
