Young and the Orioles won't face the Tigers on Saturday, as the game was postponed due to rain.

The two sides will make up Saturday's contest as part of a doubleheader Sunday, and Young will draw the start in the early game, per Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com. The 27-year-old has given up three earned runs or fewer in five of his six big-league starts this season, though he made it through just 3.2 innings during his most recent outing against the Nationals.

Valdez and the Tigers won't face the Orioles on Saturday, as the game was postponed due to rain.

Detroit and Baltimore will play twice Sunday to make up for Saturday's contest, and Valdez will likely get the nod to start one of the two games. The 32-year-old southpaw has conceded 16 runs (13 earned) in 14.2 innings across his last three starts, but he'll have an opportunity to bounce back against an Orioles lineup that's logged a .684 OPS since the beginning of the month.

Pintaro was recalled from Triple-A Syracuse on Saturday.

The 28-year-old righty has only recorded two outs in the majors, back in 2025, giving up two earned runs while walking two in that brief big-league debut. Pintaro boasts a 2.81 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 32:12 K:BB in 25.2 innings across 15 appearances out of the Triple-A bullpen this year.

Thornton was optioned to Triple-A Syracuse on Saturday.

Thornton made a surprise big-league debut with a spot start Wednesday in Washington, and he dealt with some growing pains, giving up four earned runs on four hits and two walks while striking out three in 4.1 innings. Thornton, a 6-foot-3 lefty, sits 91-92 mph with his two fastballs and threw his 86-mph cutter 50 percent of the time Wednesday. He earned the spot start by logging a 3.16 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 40:12 K:BB in 37 innings across seven starts split between Double-A and Triple-A.

Senga (back) gave up two earned runs on four hits and a walk over 3.1 innings in a rehab start for Single-A St. Lucie on Friday. He struck out two.

While the right-hander's line in the box score wasn't particularly impressive, Senga built up to 63 pitches (36 strikes) in his first rehab start, suggesting his return isn't far away. He landed on the 15-day injured list after a rough stretch to end April, coughing up 16 earned runs in just 8.1 innings over his last three big-league outings. If he needs only one more rehab start, Senga could be in line to rejoin the Mets rotation during the club's first series of June in Seattle.

The Twins reinstated Bradley (pectoral) from the injured list Saturday.

After a near-minimum stay on the injured list, Bradley will return to the active roster and start Saturday's game against Boston. His workload will likely be limited during his first appearance back, however, since he threw just 42 pitches over 1.2 innings during his lone rehab outing at Triple-A St. Paul. Luis Garcia was designated for assignment in a corresponding move.

Bello is slated to work in bulk relief behind opening pitcher Jovani Moran in Saturday's game against the Twins, Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald reports.

For the third time in four appearances, Bello will be deployed out of the bullpen behind Moran. Boston handed Bello a traditional start in his last turn through the rotation Sunday in Atlanta, but the right-hander was lit up for seven earned runs on eight hits and three walks over five innings. The Red Sox will thus go back to an arrangement that has yielded strong results, with Bello having posted 1.35 ERA, 0.75 WHIP and 12:2 K:BB in 13.1 innings between his previous two appearances in bulk relief.

Bassitt (4-3) picked up the win Friday against the Tigers, allowing three runs on six hits and no walks with four strikeouts across 4.1 innings.

Bassitt followed lefty opener Keegan Akin for the second time in his last three outings Friday and allowed at least three runs for the third time in four appearances this month. The 37-year-old Bassitt is averaging a career-low 91.3 mph with his fastball this season, while his strikeout rate has plummeted to 15.3 percent from 22.6 percent in the 2025 regular season. He'd been at 22.2 percent or better in each of the previous five campaigns. On the year, Bassitt owns a 5.51 ERA, 1.67 WHIP and 34:19 K:BB across 47.1 innings.

Gore (lat) played catch Friday and will be re-evaluated this weekend, MLB.com reports.

All signs are pointing to Gore being ready for his next turn in the rotation scheduled for Sunday against the Angels. After making an early exit in his previous start Monday against the Rockies, Gore underwent an MRI on his lat that came back negative.

Fedde is expected to be used as a bulk reliever behind opening pitcher Bryan Hudson in Saturday's game against the Giants, LaMond Pope of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Hudson will be deployed as a starter for the third time this season, with one of those appearances coming as an opener in front of Fedde in an April 24 game against the Nationals. The southpaw covered the opening frame in that contest, while the right-handed Fedde followed with 5.2 innings out of the bullpen. Expect Saturday's game to follow a similar path, with the White Sox hoping that the arrangement can help generate a bounce-back performance from Fedde, who was tagged for four runs on six hits and four walks over a season-low three innings in his last start Sunday against the Cubs.
