Double-A Midland placed Lin on the 7-day injured list May 13 with a left quad strain.

Lin struck out a career-high 10 batters in six innings May 7 but was placed on the injured list before making another start. The 20-year-old southpaw boasts a 1.85 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 43:9 K:BB in 34 innings across seven starts for the RockHounds.

Verlander (hip) tossed a three-inning, 50-pitch simulated game Friday, MLB.com reports.

Rather than heading out on a minor-league rehab assignment, Verlander is seemingly electing to stay with the Tigers and build up his pitch count through a series of sim games as he works his way back from left hip inflammation, which sent him to the injured list back on April 4. Verlander reportedly displayed improvement with his pitch quality and velocity during Friday's throwing session and is set to throw a longer simulated game in the middle of this week. Verlander appears to be tracking toward a return from the 60-day IL around when he's first eligible May 31 or soon thereafter.

The Phillies promoted Wood from Single-A Clearwater to Double-A Reading on Monday, Jonathan Mayo of MLB.com reports.

Wood will skip over an assignment to the Phillies' South Atlantic League affiliate in Jersey Shore and move into the rotation at Reading after an excellent run with Clearwater to begin the season. Over eight starts in the Florida State League, Wood, the No. 26 overall pick of the 2025 First-Year Player Draft, submitted a 3.42 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 40:12 K:BB across 26.1 innings.

Senga (back) threw a multi-inning live-batting practice session Sunday, MLB.com reports.

Senga flew to the Mets' facility in Florida to take the next step forward in his recovery process for lumbar spine inflammation, which sent him to the injured list April 28. According to the report, Senga won't advance to game action "until his pitch metrics are in the place that he wants," so he may be more than a week away from beginning a minor-league rehab assignment. Senga had struggled to a 9.00 ERA and 1.95 WHIP over 20 innings in his five starts with the Mets prior to landing on the shelf.

The Twins announced Wednesday that Soto, who is recovering from a wrist ligament sprain, began playing catch out to 105 feet earlier this month and could resume throwing off a mound during the upcoming week, MLB.com reports.

Soto closed the 2025 season on Cedar Rapids' IL after requiring surgery in August to remove a partially detached bone spur from his right elbow, but he appears to have made a full recovery from that procedure. Instead, it's the wrist issue that has thus far kept him out of action to begin the 2026 season. Though he could be closing in on mound work, Soto still appears to be a few weeks away from making his season debut for Cedar Rapids.

Rojas is slated to start Monday's game against the Astros at Target Field, Bobby Nightengale of The Minnesota Star Tribune reports.

The Twins will slot Rojas into the rotation spot that belonged to Simeon Woods Richardson, who may have been moved to the bullpen after logging a 7.71 ERA and 1.86 WHIP over his first nine starts of 2026. Rojas has worked as a starter for most of his minor-league career but made all but one of his five appearances for Triple-A St. Paul out of the bullpen this season before being called back up to the majors earlier this month. Since Rojas hasn't covered more than 3.1 innings in an appearance at any level this season and will be pitching Monday on three days' rest, he likely won't be asked to cover the five innings he would need to hit to qualify for a win. Minnesota could end up turning to Woods Richardson for multiple innings out of the bullpen once Rojas exits the game.

The Cubs claimed Roa off waivers from the Orioles on Sunday.

Roa continues to bounce around via waivers, as this is his fourth organization over the past month. The right-hander has a career 3.86 ERA and 9:10 K:BB across 11.2 big-league innings and will join the bullpen at Triple-A Iowa.

Bradley (pectoral) struck out three and allowed one earned run on two hits and two walks across 1.2 innings in a rehab start Sunday for Triple-A St. Paul.

Placed on the 15-day injured list May 9 due to right pectoral inflammation, Bradley looks to be trending toward an abbreviated stint on the shelf. Though he didn't look especially sharp Sunday, Bradley was able to cover around 65 pitches on the day. After tossing 42 pitches before exiting the game midway through the second inning, the right-hander threw in the bullpen afterward to build up his count, per Bobby Nightengale of The Minnesota Star Tribune. Manager Derek Shelton told Nightengale that Bradley will be re-evaluated Monday before the Twins determine his next steps. If the Twins are satisfied with how Bradley looks physically, the team could have him bypass a second rehab start and bring him back from the IL for next weekend's series in Boston.

Lynch allowed a hit and no walks while striking out one over 1.2 scoreless innings in Sunday's 2-0 win over St. Louis.

After a strong outing from starter Stephen Kolek, Lynch entered with one out in the seventh inning and recorded five scoreless outs before turning things over to Lucas Erceg for the save in the ninth. While Erceg has held steady as the closer in Carlos Estevez's (foot/shoulder) absence, Lynch has quietly been the most effective arm in the Kansas City bullpen. The southpaw owns a 1.80 ERA and 0.80 WHIP with a 26:6 K:BB across 20 innings in 2026.

Through seven starts for High-A Fort Wayne this season, Mayfield has posted a 1.52 ERA, 0.75 WHIP and 35:13 K:BB over 29.2 innings.

Mayfield was a first-round pick by San Diego in the 2024 First-Year Player Draft and registered a solid 3.12 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 88:28 K:BB in Single-A ball during his first pro season. The southpaw has built upon that success with an even more impressive start to his High-A tenure, and he's been especially dominant over his past two outings, allowing just two hits while posting a 12:1 K:BB across 10 scoreless innings. If Mayfield continues to pitch well, he could be promoted to Double-A at some point this season.
