Cole (4-2) earned the win Friday over Detroit, allowing four hits and two walks over six scoreless innings. He struck out eight.

Cole looks to be rounding into form -- the right-hander's allowed just three runs in his last three starts (17 innings) while racking up 22 strikeouts in that span. He lowered his ERA to 4.15 through 52 innings this season with a 1.37 WHIP and 60:16 K:BB. He'll look to keep rolling in his next start, currently scheduled for next week at home against the Guardians.

Pepiot did not factor into the decision in Friday's 5-4 win against Arizona, allowing two unearned runs on five hits and one walk over 5.1 innings. He struck out five.

Making his return from a knee infection, the Tampa Bay righty generated 11 whiffs out of his 80 total pitches in his first start since July 14. After a shaky opening frame in which two unearned runs scored courtesy a Junior Caminero throwing error, Pepiot settled in, allowing just two singles across his remaining 4.1 innings. He sports a 3.69 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 99:32 K:BB across 92.2 innings this season. The 26-year-old lines up for a road start in Oakland next week.

Nelson did not factor into the decision in Friday's loss to the Rays, allowing one run on five hits and no walks over 6.1 innings. He struck out six.

The Arizona hurler secured his fourth quality start in six outings since the All-Star break with this 94-pitch performance. The lone blemish on Nelson's evening was a 379-foot solo shot by Dylan Carlson in the fifth inning. The 26-year-old right-hander has been brilliant in the second half, pitching to a 2.89 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 42:9 K:BB across 37.1 innings. Nelson doesn't currently have another start scheduled as manager Torey Lovullo has proposed moving the righty to the bullpen. However, given Nelson's stellar work of late, Lovullo might reconsider removing him from the rotation.

The Dodgers recalled Wrobleski from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday.

Wrobleski allowed just two runs in 10 innings over his last two starts in the majors, but he's given up seven runs in 10.1 frames since being sent down to Triple-A at the end of July. Tyler Glasnow (elbow) was placed on the 15-day injured list in a corresponding move, and his absence could allow Wrobleski to stick around for several turns through the rotation.

The Dodgers placed Glasnow on the 15-day injured list Friday with right elbow tendinitis, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

The Dodgers pushed back Glasnow's next start from Friday to Saturday after he pitched seven innings during his last outing, but he'll now have to miss multiple turns through the rotation. His roster spot will be given to Justin Wrobleski, who was recalled from Triple-A to start Friday's game versus St. Louis. Bobby Miller was added to the Dodgers' taxi squad Friday and will presumably start Saturday's contest in Glasnow's place.

Yamamoto (triceps) threw 17 pitches in his live bullpen session Friday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Friday marked the first time Yamamoto has faced live hitters since going on the injured list in June. His session was cut short due to the heat, but he noted afterwards that he felt good. The 25-year-old will need at least two more live sessions before going on a rehab assignment.

Hendricks didn't factor into the decision Friday against Toronto, allowing two runs (one earned) on five hits over five innings. He struck out two.

Hendricks held the Blue Jays to one unearned run through his first four innings before Leo Jimenez tied the game at 2-2 with a solo homer to lead off the fifth. While it's been a tough year overall for Hendricks, the veteran right-hander has looked better of late, holding opponents to three runs or fewer in five of his last six outings. Overall, Hendricks is 3-10 with a 6.35 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 67:27 K:BB across 96.1 innings this season. He's currently lined up to face the Tigers at home next week in his next start.

Manager Dave Roberts said Friday that Miller will likely be recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Saturday, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Tyler Glasnow (elbow) was slated to start Saturday's contest but was placed on the injured list Friday, opening up an opportunity for Miller to make a spot start. The 25-year-old has accumulated an 8.07 ERA and 1.83 WHIP across 29 innings in the majors this year, and he's given up eight runs in 13 frames since being moved to Triple-A on July 10.

Rodriguez allowed four runs on four hits and two walks over five innings in a no-decision Friday against the Cubs. He struck out five.

All four runs charged to Rodriguez came via the long ball. He allowed a two-run shot to Cody Bellinger in the opening inning before Pete Crow-Armstrong and Miguel Amaya added solo homers in the fifth. The Blue Jays would come back in the ninth to tie the game, sparing Rodriguez a loss, but he still hasn't recorded a win since July 6. However, the right-hander had been pitching well coming into Friday's outing, allowing just one run in his previous two starts (10.1 innings). Overall, Rodriguez is 1-5 on the year with a 3.93 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 57:27 K:BB across 55 innings. He's currently slated for a home matchup with the Reds in his next start.

Scherzer (shoulder) threw 25 pitches in his bullpen session Friday, Jeff Wilson of RangersToday.com reports.

Scherzer noted afterwards that he's aiming to throw 40 pitches in his next session Sunday. The 40-year-old was placed on the 15-day injured list Aug. 2 due to right arm fatigue, and he received a nerve injection in his throwing shoulder two weeks later. Scherzer's timeline to return to the Rangers' rotation should become clearer following Sunday's throwing session.
