Martinez and the Reds won't face the Brewers on Thursday after the game was postponed due to inclement weather in CIncinnati.

The game will be made up as part of a split doubleheader Aug. 30. Martinez had been slated to start Thursday's series finale, but it's unclear if he'll get pushed back one day in the schedule to start Friday's series opener in Chicago versus the White Sox. The Reds are set to get Nick Lodolo (calf) back from the 15-day injured list this weekend, and manager David Bell has yet to confirm whether Cincinnati will expand the rotation to six men to accommodate the left-hander or if the team will stay with a five-man starting staff and move another pitcher to the bullpen or Triple-A Louisville. Martinez, Andrew Abbott or Graham Ashcraft would be the pitchers most likely to lose out on a starting role if Bell elects to keep a five-man rotation intact once Lodolo returns.

Silseth (elbow) said Wednesday that he expects to return from the 15-day injured list in around three weeks, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Silseth received good news earlier in the week, when both of the doctors who evaluated his injured elbow determined he was dealing with nothing more than inflammation. While Silseth thus appears likely to resume throwing soon and steer clear of an extended absence, he'll still need more than the minimum 15 days to make a full recovery from the injury and get fully ramped up. Jose Soriano was moved from the bullpen earlier this week and will serve as the Angels' No. 5 starter while Silseth is on the shelf.

Bradley (pectoral) has thrown a bullpen session recently but is not close to a return, MLB.com reports.

It's not clear exactly when Bradley last threw, but manager Kevin Cash described it as a positive session. The expectation is that Bradley will return in early to mid-May, but there's no specific timeline at this point.

Littell came away with a no-decision in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Angels, allowing one run on six hits and three walks over 4.1 innings. He struck out four.

The right-hander ran his pitch count up to 99 (62 strikes) before getting the hook, missing out on a chance to secure his second win of the year. Littell has a 1.17 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 15:5 K:BB through three starts and 15.1 innings, and he has yet to serve up a homer despite the fact that one of his outings came in Coors Field. The latter could be key to his fantasy fortunes in 2024 after he was tagged for 13 home runs in 87 innings with Tampa Bay last season. Littell lines up for a rematch with the Halos back at home early next week.

Hicks (2-0) picked up the win Wednesday, allowing one run on four hits and two walks over six innings in a 7-1 victory over the Nationals. He struck out two.

The right-hander wasn't dominant, managing only seven swinging strikes among his 79 pitches, but Hicks didn't give up much hard contact aside from a Joey Gallo solo shot in the second inning. Hicks has produced two straight quality starts, and through three outings and 18 innings to begin the season he's delivered a sparkling 1.00 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 13:3 K:BB. He'll look to keep rolling in his next start, which lines up for a road tilt in Miami early next week.

Corbin (0-2) took the loss Wednesday as the Nationals were downed 7-1 by the Giants, surrendering seven runs on 11 hits over 5.2 innings. He struck out two without walking a batter.

The veteran lefty was able to keep the ball in the park, but San Francisco was able to string together multiple hits and score multiple runs in three separate innings against Corbin, chasing him from the game after 85 pitches (58 strikes). After posting an ERA above 5.00 in each of the last three seasons, Corbin seems headed for another awful campaign, stumbling to an 8.44 ERA, 1.94 WHIP and 10:4 K:BB through three starts and 16 innings. There's little reason for optimism that he'll turn things around in his next start, likely to come on the road early next week against the Dodgers.

Gomber came away with a no-decision in Wednesday's 5-3 loss to the Diamondbacks, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out four.

The 30-year-old lefty produced his first quality start of the season, no mean feat at Coors Field, and exited the game after 98 pitches (61 strikes) in line for his first win of the season. The Rockies' bullpen couldn't seal the deal, however. Gomber will carry a 4.91 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and 14:8 K:BB through 14.2 innings into his next start, which lines up for a road tilt early next week in Philadelphia.

Henry came away with an no-decision in Wednesday's 5-3 win over the Rockies, giving up three runs (two earned) on four hits and three walks over five innings. He struck out six.

A two-run homer by Michael Toglia in the fourth inning accounted for most of the damage off Henry, who exited the game after 95 pitches (62 strikes). The results could have been far worse at Coors Field, but the southpaw has still been taken deep in all three of his starts to begin the season and has a 5.79 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and 15:7 K:BB through 14 innings. He'll look for his first win of 2024 in his next outing, likely to come early next week at home against the Cubs.
