Corbin's rough start to the season continued Friday after he allowed four runs over 4.1 innings in his first start, leaving him with a 6.97 ERA. The 34-year-old lefty has been unable to keep opponents off the basepaths as his WHIP stands at 1.94 over his first 10.1 innings. Corbin is scheduled to pitch on the road against the Giants in his next start.

Cease came away with a no-decision in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Giants, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out seven.

The right-hander uncorked two wild pitches and threw 64 of 102 pitches for strikes before exiting the mound, but Cease also generated 30 called or swinging strikes in his first quality start as a Padre. He's posted a 3.38 ERA and 13:4 K:BB through his first 10.2 innings this season, and Cease lines up to make his next start at home next week against the Cubs.

Jones came away with a no-decision in Friday's 5-2 loss to the Orioles, giving up two runs on six hits over six innings. He struck out seven without walking a batter.

The rookie right-hander got taken deep by Ryan O'Hearn in the second inning and Gunnar Henderson in the third, but he settled down after the solo shots and delivered his first career quality start while generating an incredible 21 swinging strikes among his 80 pitches. Jones has a dazzling 17:2 K:BB through his first 11.2 big-league innings, but things won't get any easier for him in his next outing, which lines up for a road start next week in Philadelphia.

Rodriguez (2-0) picked up the win Friday, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks over 6.1 innings in a 5-2 victory over the Pirates. He struck out seven.

Solo shots by Oneil Cruz in the fifth inning and Jared Triolo in the seventh accounted for all the damage off Rodriguez. The 24-year-old right-hander has had a sizzling start to the season, posting a 16:3 K:BB through his first 12.1 innings with a 2.19 ERA, and while he's served up three homers, all three have come with the bases empty. After giving up 16 home runs in 122 innings as a rookie last year, Rodriguez's ability to keep the ball in the park might be the only thing that holds him back in 2024.

Gomber came away with a no-decision in Friday's 10-7 win over the Rays, giving up two runs on four hits and three walks over four innings. He struck out seven.

The southpaw ran up high pitch counts in the first couple innings but was able to limit the damage, eventually hitting the showers after 89 pitches (57 strikes). Gomber has a 6.23 ERA and 10:6 K:BB through his first 8.2 innings this season, and he'll need to rein in the walks if he's going to be a streaming option even away from Coors Field. He lines up for another home start next week against Arizona, however.

Littell came away with a no-decision in Friday's 10-7 loss to the Rockies, allowing one run on five hits over five innings. He struck out five without walking a batter.

The right-hander pounded the strike zone at Coors Field, firing 52 of 69 pitches for strikes, and Littell left the mound with the Rays nursing a 2-1 lead before things got wacky in the late innings. After a solid finish to the 2023 campaign in the Tampa Bay rotation, Littell has been even better to begin the current campaign, posting a 0.82 ERA through his first 11 innings with an 11:2 K:BB. He lines up to make his next start on the road against the Angels next week.

Hendricks didn't factor into the decision Friday against the Dodgers, allowing five runs on eight hits over four-plus innings. He struck out one.

After allowing a pair of runs in the first inning, Hendricks held the Dodgers off the board until the fifth when he allowed three more runs before recording an out. It's been a rough start to the campaign for the 34-year-old Hendricks -- he's allowed 10 earned runs on 17 hits through his first two starts (7.2 innings). The right-hander will look to get on track in his next outing, tentatively lined up for next week in San Diego.

Miller (1-1) took the loss Friday against the Cubs, allowing five runs on four hits and two walks over 1.2 innings. He struck out two.

After striking out 11 over six scoreless innings in his first start of the season, Miller crashed back to earth Friday, surrendering five runs in the second inning before departing with two outs in the frame. The 25-year-old right-hander has already endured the ups and downs typical of a young pitcher, though his long-term outlook remains encouraging. He'll look to bounce back in his next outing, currently lined up for next week in Minnesota.

Sears didn't factor into the decision Friday, allowing four runs on six hits and a walk over 5.2 innings against the Tigers. He struck out two.

Sears looked good early, facing the minimum through his first three innings. However, Matt Vierling led off the fourth with a solo home run before Detroit tacked on two more runs with three consecutive hits. While his final line wasn't great, it was an improvement for Sears after he gave up five runs in just 3.2 innings in his first start. The left-hander sports an unsightly 8.68 ERA with a 1.61 WHIP and two strikeouts through his first 9.1 innings this season.

Skubal didn't factor into the decision Friday against Oakland, allowing four runs on four hits and two walks over 6.1 innings. He struck out nine.

Skubal was dominant through the first five innings Friday, holding the A's scoreless while racking up seven strikeouts. However, the left-hander would allow a two-run homer to Brent Rooker in the sixth before Oakland tacked on two more runs in the seventh, costing Skubal his second win of the season. While fatigue may have been a factor, he still generated an impressive 16 whiffs overall. After blanking the White Sox on Opening Day, Skubal sports a 2.92 ERA with 15 strikeouts and just two walks through his first 12.1 innings this year.
