May (3-2) picked up the win Tuesday, allowing one run on six hits and one walk over 5.1 innings in a 5-3 victory over the Marlins. He struck out five.

The right-hander served up a solo shot to Jakob Marsee to lead off the bottom of the first inning, but May cruised from there, eventually getting lifted after 97 pitches (59 strikes). He saw his quality start streak end at two, but after a shaky beginning to his St. Louis tenure he's delivered a 1.56 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 13:2 K:BB over 17.1 innings in his last three trips to the mound. May will look to keep rolling in his next outing, which lines up to come on the road early next week in Pittsburgh.

Montero (1-2) took the loss Tuesday, giving up three runs on five hits and a walk over 5.2 innings as the Tigers fell 12-4 to the Brewers. He struck out three.

Montero was lifted after 88 pitches (55 strikes), coming up just short of his second quality start in four trips to the mound since joining the Detroit rotation. The 25-year-old right-hander has delivered a strong 3.68 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 18:3 K:BB through 22 innings, and with Justin Verlander (hip) not being rushed back into action, Montero should keep his current role into May. He's set to make his next start on the road this weekend in Cincinnati.

The Twins will recall Prielipp from Triple-A St. Paul to make his major-league debut Wednesday versus the Mets, Matthew Leach of MLB.com reports.

Prielipp is already on the team's taxi squad, and he is set to fill the rotation spot vacated by the injured Mick Abel (elbow). The left-hander has battled injuries throughout his pro career, having undergone a pair of Tommy John surgeries and having never thrown more than 82.2 innings in a pro season. However, Prielipp has been terrific when healthy and this season with St. Paul he has collected a 2.30 ERA and 22:8 K:BB over 15.2 innings. Prielipp has a high pitch count this season of 77, so he's unlikely to pitch deep into Wednesday's game.

Harrison didn't factor into the decision Tuesday, allowing one run on four hits and three walks over three-plus innings in a 12-4 rout of the Tigers. He struck out three.

Making his first start since April 11 due to wrist and knee soreness, Harrison looked good through three innings before running into trouble in the fourth by loading the bases with nobody out. The left-hander got the hook after 72 pitches (39 strikes), but Grant Anderson was able to escape the jam by letting only one of the inherited runners cross the plate. Harrison sports a 3.06 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 18:7 K:BB through 17.2 innings over four outings, and he'll look to provide a little more length in his next start, which is scheduled to come at home this weekend against the Pirates.

Weiss didn't factor into the decision in Tuesday's 8-5 loss to the Guardians, giving up two runs on five hits and four walks over 3.1 innings. He struck out four.

The 29-year-old right-hander needed 86 pitches (48 strikes) to record just 10 outs, as Weiss continues to struggle in his return to MLB. Weiss has yet to complete four innings in any of his seven appearances (two starts), stumbling to a 6.50 ERA, 2.17 WHIP and 22:14 K:BB over 18 innings, and with Houston having a couple off days coming Thursday and Monday, Weiss could have his next turn in the rotation skipped. Whether he gets another start or returns to a long-relief role will depend on when the likes of Tatsuya Imai (arm) or Cody Bolton (back) are cleared to come off the IL.

Burnes (elbow) threw a bullpen session Tuesday, Jose M. Romero of the Arizona Republic reports.

Burnes has been throwing occasional bullpen sessions since spring training -- Tuesday's session was his fourth -- so there was nothing particularly notable about Tuesday's activity. "He just wants to make sure everything is feeling right, he's duplicating his delivery," Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said of Burnes. The pitcher is still on track to return near or after the All-Star break.

Yamamoto (2-2) took the loss against San Francisco on Tuesday, allowing three runs on six hits and two walks while striking out seven batters over seven innings.

Yamamoto looked like he could be in for a short outing after allowing five of the first six batters he faced to reach base and surrendering three runs over that span. However, the right-hander rebounded by retiring 20 of the final 22 batters to come to plate against him. Though the Dodgers' offense couldn't produce enough runs to take Yamamoto off the hook for the loss, he did manage to register his fifth straight quality start to open the campaign. The Japanese hurler leads the league in that category and has added a 2.48 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 28:5 K:BB through 32.2 innings.

Kelly (1-1) took the loss against the White Sox on Tuesday, allowing eight runs on 10 hits and three walks while striking out five batters over 4.1 innings.

Kelly's outing got off to a disastrous start when he gave up four runs in the first inning. He then allowed three more runs -- on back-to-back-to-back homers -- in the second frame. Kelly bounced back a bit by yielding just one additional run over the remainder of his time in the game, but the early damage was more than enough to saddle him with his first loss in his second start of the season. Kelly has looked shaky so far with an 8:7 K:BB through 9.2 frames, but that could be a result of shaking off rust after missing the first the early portion of the campaign due to a back injury.

Bubic did not factor into the decision Tuesday against the Orioles, allowing three runs on five hits and three walks while striking out three over six innings.

Bubic was tagged early, as all three runs he allowed came on one swing, a second-inning three-run homer by Coby Mayo. Bubic responded well, however, settling in to keep Baltimore off the board over his final four innings before exiting. Tuesday marked the southpaw's third quality start in five outings, though his other starts have been considerably rough. Bubic now owns a 4.08 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 29:13 K:BB across 28.2 innings and is set to face the Athletics in his next start.

Baz did not factor into the decision Tuesday against the Royals, allowing four runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out four over 6.1 innings.

Baz worked through constant traffic but held things together until the fifth inning, when back-to-back hits led to a run and a sacrifice fly from Vinnie Pasquantino added another. The right-hander managed to push through 6.1 innings -- his longest outing of the season -- but he has now allowed at least six hits in four of his five starts, and the consistent contact against him proved costly. Baz owns a 5.08 ERA, 1.55 WHIP and 23:10 K:BB across 28.1 innings this season and will face a tough test in his next outing against Houston.
