Cabrera came away with a no-decision in Tuesday's 6-5 extra-innings win over the Phillies, giving up three runs on five hits and a walk over four innings. He struck out three.

The right-hander returned from an elbow sprain for the final week of the season, having last pitched Aug. 30. Cabrera tossed 40 of 67 pitches for strikes but served up homers to Kyle Schwarber and Otto Kemp, and he exited the mound in line for the loss until the Marlins' offense woke up late. Cabrera has had something of a breakout campaign between IL stints, posting a 3.66 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 143:43 K:BB over a career-high 132.2 innings, and he could get one more start on the final day of the season, at home against a Mets team currently scrambling to hang onto a playoff spot.

Vasquez (6-7) earned the win Tuesday, allowing a hit and two walks over seven scoreless innings against the Brewers. He struck out three.

Vasquez handled the Brewers well Tuesday, keeping them off the bases entirely from the fourth inning onward. The right-hander has been sharp in September, posting a 2.53 ERA and 0.94 WHIP over 21.1 innings in four starts. His peripherals (4.88 FIP) aren't pretty, but the 26-year-old has delivered results in 2025, carrying a 3.73 ERA and 1.31 WHIP across 27 outings and 132.2 innings for the Padres.

Waldrep (6-1) got the win over the Nationals on Tuesday, allowing one run on five hits and four walks while striking out five in six innings.

Some control issues in the third inning led to a run for the Nationals, but Waldrep was otherwise excellent in what was the final start of his rookie season. Waldrep recorded his first quality start since Aug. 20, but he had just one outing in 10 appearances (nine starts) this season in which he allowed more than three runs. He finishes 2025 with a 2.88 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 55:22 K:BB in 56.1 innings and will certainly be a name to watch for Atlanta next spring as he competes for a spot in the rotation.

Miller did not factor into the decision Tuesday, allowing three runs on five hits and a walk over 5.2 innings in a 4-3 victory over the Rockies. He struck out four.

Miller fell one out shy of a quality start Tuesday, marking his fourth straight outing falling short of six innings, all resulting in no-decisions. After a breakout 2024 season in which he posted a 2.94 ERA and 0.98 WHIP across 31 starts and 180.1 innings, the right-hander has struggled this year to a 5.53 ERA and 1.39 WHIP in 17 starts and 86.1 innings around an extended stay on the injured list with elbow trouble. Given the depth of the Mariners' staff, it's fair to question what Miller's role will be in the postseason.

Brown did not factor into the decision Tuesday, allowing a run on two hits and two walks over five innings in a 4-3 loss against the Mariners. He struck out 10.

Brown delivered the best outing of his young MLB career, working five innings and notching double-digit strikeouts for the first time, though he came away without a win. The right-hander entered the game with a rough line through his first five starts -- a 9.17 ERA, 2.09 WHIP and more walks (13) than strikeouts (11). The 25-year-old is lined up to make one more start in the regular-season finale Sunday against the Giants.

Ragans (3-3) earned the win Tuesday, allowing two runs on three hits and a walk over five innings against the Angels. He struck out 10.

Ragans worked four scoreless frames before surrendering a two-run homer to Bryce Teodosio in his fifth and final inning of Tuesday's start. It was an impressive showing for the southpaw in just his second outing back from a left rotator cuff strain that kept him sidelined for more than three months. The 27-year-old has had a tough-luck season with a 5.02 ERA and 1.22 WHIP across 12 starts and 57.1 innings, surface numbers that hide a much stronger 2.69 FIP. He's currently lined up for one more regular-season start Sunday against the Athletics, though that has not yet been confirmed.

Webb allowed three runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out five over six innings in a no-decision versus the Cardinals on Tuesday.

Webb was a little generous with baserunners, but he was able to avoid taking a third straight loss. The right-hander has had mixed results in September, allowing 17 runs (13 earned) over 28 innings across five starts. For the season, he was able to surpass the 200-inning mark for the third straight year (201.2) while posting a 14-11 record, 3.30 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 216:46 K:BB over 33 starts.

Pallante allowed five runs (two earned) on three hits and two walks while striking out four over 2.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Giants.

This was Pallante's shortest outing since his 1.2-inning appearance against the Cubs on Aug. 9, though he has had plenty of struggles in that span. The right-hander was able to avoid a loss for just the second time in his last 10 starts as the Cardinals rallied for a comeback in the late innings. Pallante is now at a 5.31 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 111:62 K:BB through 162.2 innings over 31 starts this season, and he is not projected to make another appearance in 2025.

Springs (11-11) allowed one run on three hits and two walks while striking out three over five innings to earn the win over the Astros on Tuesday.

Springs got an extra couple of days between starts this time and turned in a good performance to earn his first win since July 30 versus the Mariners. The southpaw had posted a 4.72 ERA over 40 innings during his eight-start winless stretch. He's at a 4.11 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 138:54 K:BB across 171 innings through 32 appearances (30 starts) this season. Given his recent additional rest, it's not guaranteed Springs will get another start in 2025 -- he's already 35.2 innings above his previous career high from 2022.

Javier (2-4) allowed four runs (three earned) on six hits and a walk while striking out four over 4.2 innings to take the loss Tuesday versus the Athletics.

Javier's own fielding error was responsible for the unearned run on his line. He ran into further trouble in the fourth and fifth innings, and the Astros' offense wasn't able to cover his mistakes in the end. Javier has allowed 14 runs (13 earned) over 21 innings across his four starts in September, losing three of them. He's now at a 4.62 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 34:15 K:BB through 37 innings over eight starts this season. He would be on regular rest for the Astros' regular-season finale Sunday versus the Angels, but if the team either clinches a playoff spot or is eliminated by then, Javier might not make that start.
