Witt went 4-for-5 with a grand slam, a double and an additional run scored in Monday's 8-5 victory over the White Sox.

The Kansas City shortstop slugged a pivotal grand slam off reliever John Brebbia in the eighth inning to give the Royals an 8-5 lead they wouldn't give up. Along with his monstrous homer, Witt also collected his second four-hit performance of the season to raise his AL-leading batting average to .347. The 24-year-old superstar has had a monumental month of July so far, hitting .488 (41-for-84) with seven homers, 22 runs scored and 21 RBI, as he enters the AL MVP discussion.

Henderson isn't in the lineup for the second game of Monday's doubleheader versus the Blue Jays, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Henderson went 1-for-4 with a walk and two runs scored in the Orioles' 11-5 win in the first game of the day and will receive a rare game off for the nightcap. Jordan Westburg will cover shortstop for the Orioles in Henderson's stead.

The Tigers recalled Kreidler from Triple-A Toledo on Monday.

Kreidler will provide some infield depth after shortstop Javier Baez (personal) was placed on the family medical emergency list in a corresponding move. He's hit just .153/.215/.206 over parts of three seasons at the big-league level.

Rivas started at shortstop in Sunday's win over the White Sox, going 0-for-4 with an RBI fielder's choice.

The 26-year-old saw time as a late-inning defensive replacement in the opening game of the series Friday, but he did not log a plate appearances. Sunday's start therefore marked Rivas' first encounter with big-league pitching since way back on May 9, and the he managed to contribute the Mariners' third run of the afternoon with his third-inning groundout. With J.P. Crawford (finger) projected to be sidelined up to six weeks, Rivas should continue seeing occasional opportunities in the infield.

Schuemann went 0-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Sunday's loss to the Angels.

Schuemann went hitless for a second straight day but was able to swipe base No. 11 when he reached with a walk in the fourth. If he had enough plate appearances to qualify, Schuemann would lead the A's in walk rate at 11.7 percent, as he's shown an exceptionally patient eye at the plate as a rookie. The 27-year-old is slashing .256/.346/.364 with six homers, 26 RBI, 45 runs and a 33:76 BB:K in 292 plate appearances.

Moore went 1-for-4 with a ground-rule double, two stolen bases and two runs in a win over the White Sox on Sunday.

Moore made good use of his opportunities Sunday, stealing third after his second-inning ground-rule double and recording another pilfer after his fielder's choice groundout in the following frame. Moore has now hit safely in three straight, and Sunday marked his third multi-steal tally of the campaign and first since May 24. The versatile veteran is now just one stolen base away from reaching the 20-mark in that category for the third time in the last four seasons.

DeJong went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run Sunday against the Mariners.

DeJong blasted a two-run homer in the seventh inning for his 18th home run of the season. That extended his hitting streak to four games, during which he has three extra-base hits, the other two being doubles. DeJong is a potential trade candidate, but the White Sox are giving him near-everyday playing time for the time being at a combination of third base and shortstop.

Correa (heel) participated in limited hitting drills Saturday and worked out on a treadmill, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports. He could soon progress to running on the field.

Correa was placed on the 10-day injured list July 20 due to right plantar fasciitis. He had been wearing a boot on his right foot, so he's making progress. It sounds like he could still be a week or more away from starting a rehab assignment.

Hamilton is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

Hamilton is 3-for-21 with two doubles in seven games since the All-Star break and will sit Sunday against New York lefty Carlos Rodon. Jamie Westbrook will start at the keystone and bat ninth in the series finale.
