J.P. Crawford SS | SEA
Mariners' J.P. Crawford: Could return Tuesday
Crawford (back) could be back in the lineup Tuesday against the Phillies, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.
Crawford will miss his second straight game with back spasms Monday, but it doesn't appear as though he's dealing with a serious injury. The Mariners will see how his back responds to him hitting in the cage Monday before determining when he'll return.

J.P. Crawford SS | SEA
Mariners' J.P. Crawford: Remains sidelined
Crawford (back) remains on the bench Monday against the Phillies.
Crawford left Saturday's game against the Rays with back spasms and didn't take part in Sunday's series finale. He'll miss the chance to face his former team Monday, but there's been no indication that he's anything other than day-to-day. Dylan Moore will make another start at shortstop.

Brayan Rocchio SS | CLE
Guardians' Brayan Rocchio: Out with concussion
Double-A Akron placed Rocchio on its 7-day injured list Monday due to a concussion.
Rocchio presumably picked up the injury during his last game Sunday against Richmond, when he doubled in his lone at-bat before exiting the contest. The 21-year-old switch-hitting infielder isn't known to have a prior history of head injuries, so the Guardians should have some optimism that he'll be in store for an abbreviated absence. Before sustaining the concussion, Rocchio appeared in 25 games for Akron and slashed .236/.324/.393 with three home runs and two stolen bases.

Chris Owings SS | LAD
Orioles' Chris Owings: Draws three walks
Owings went 0-for-1 with three walks in a 4-2 win over the Royals in Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader.
This was Owings' first game action since April 30, as he's been a bit lost in the shuffle among the Orioles' field players. He's done little to earn more playing time with a .105 batting average and a 6:12 BB:K through 25 plate appearances this season. Owings remains a versatile defender, but that could see him stay limited to making late entrances into games as a defensive replacement or pinch hitter or runner.

Jorge Mateo SS | ATL
Orioles' Jorge Mateo: Notches steal in matinee
Mateo went 2-for-8 with a stolen base and a run scored across both games of Sunday's doubleheader versus the Royals.
Mateo is now 5-for-15 across his last four games after recording a single in both of Sunday's contests. The shortstop is up to eight stolen bases in 27 games this season. He's added a .242/.281/.363 slash line with a home run, six RBI, nine runs scored, a triple and six doubles. The speed is a plus, but there's very little power in his bat.

Carlos Correa SS | HOU
Twins' Carlos Correa: Unlikely to play Tuesday
Correa (finger) said Tuesday's series opener against the Astros is "not a realistic day to come back," Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.
Although Correa isn't dealing with a fracture in his right middle finger, he's been held out of the lineup for three consecutive games and is still dealing with soreness. He plans to take some dry swings Monday, but it seems likely that he'll be held out for at least one more matchup. Assuming Correa is unavailable against his former team Tuesday, Royce Lewis would likely draw another start at shortstop.

Aledmys Diaz 1B | HOU
Astros' Aledmys Diaz: Exits Sunday with injury
Diaz was removed in the top of the eighth inning of Sunday's 5-0 win over the Tigers with an apparent injury, Danielle Lerner of the Houston Chronicle reports. He went 2-for-3 with a grand slam before exiting.
According to Lerner, Diaz looked to have experienced some discomfort during his final at-bat in the bottom of the sixth, when he grounded out to second base. Per Brian McTaggart of MLB.com, manager Dusty Baker said Diaz was dealing with some "nagging stuff," so he should be considered day-to-day for now. Diaz stayed in the contest to play the field for an inning before Jeremy Pena was summoned from the bench to replace him. The injury was a down note on an otherwise productive day for Diaz, whose second homer of the season effectively decided the game.

J.P. Crawford SS | SEA
Mariners' J.P. Crawford: Won't start Sunday
Crawford (back) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rays.
Dylan Moore will pick up the start at shortstop in place of Crawford, who sits for the first time this season after exiting Saturday's 8-2 loss with back spasms. According to Shannon Drayer of 710 ESPN Seattle, the Mariners view Crawford's injury as a day-to-day concern, so the 27-year-old could be ready to go for Monday's series opener with the Phillies.

David Fletcher 2B | ATL
Angels' David Fletcher: Sidelined by hip injury again
The Angels placed Fletcher on the injured list Sunday with a left hip strain.
Fletcher was previously sidelined for two and a half weeks earlier this season with the same hip issue before returning from the IL on April 29. He appeared in only nine games before succumbing to the injury again, however, making it likely that he'll be sidelined for more than the minimum 10 days once again. According to Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register, the 27-year-old is scheduled to meet with a specialist in the coming days to determine if surgery is necessary to treat the injury. If Fletcher does require a procedure, he said he wouldn't expect to miss the rest of the season, though a multi-month absence would likely be on the table. His absence should pave the way for Tyler Wade to see steady work at the keystone.

Jeremy Pena SS | HOU
Astros' Jeremy Pena: Sitting in series finale
Pena is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Tigers, Danielle Lerner of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Unless he's used off the bench as a pinch-hitter, Pena will put his five-game hitting streak on hold while he sits for the second time in five games. Aledmys Diaz will spell Pena at shortstop.
