Miguel Rojas 2B | LAD
Marlins' Miguel Rojas: Scratched with wrist injury
The Marlins scratched Rojas from the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rays with right wrist discomfort, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
As a result of Rojas' removal from the lineup, Joey Wendle will shift over from third base to shortstop, while Jon Berti cracks the starting nine at the hot corner rather than receiving the day off. Rojas will get two days off to heal up from the wrist injury, as the Marlins are off the schedule Thursday before returning to action Friday in Atlanta.

Marlins' Jon Berti: On bench Wednesday
Berti isn't starting Wednesday against the Rays, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Berti is getting a day off after he hit .136 with a run, a stolen base, five walks and six strikeouts over the last six games. Joey Wendle will draw the start at third base and lead off.

Tommy Edman LF | LAD
Cardinals' Tommy Edman: Accounts for lone run in loss
Edman went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 5-1 loss to the Reds.
Edman opened the scoring in the third inning with his solo shot, which was one of just four hits in the game for the Cardinals. Over his last eight games, Edman has gone 10-for-32 (.313) with three long balls, one triple, three doubles, seven RBI, seven runs scored and two stolen bases. That hot bat has kept him in the lineup regularly as the starting shortstop while Nolan Gorman and Brendan Donovan handle second base. Paul DeJong has reverted to a bench role. Through 126 contests, Edman has matched his career high with 11 homers and added 26 stolen bases.

Vaughn Grissom 1B | LAA
Braves' Vaughn Grissom: Swipes third bag
Grissom went 1-for-3 with a run scored and a steal in Tuesday's loss to the Rockies.
Atlanta ran wild on Elias Diaz on Tuesday, as three different runners stole second, including Grissom in the second, good for his third on the season. Grissom proceeded to score on a Dansby Swanson double. In 19 games, Grissom is batting .338 and has scored 16 runs. The 16 runs are good for eighth in the majors since he was called up Aug. 10 and part of the reason Atlanta has maintained pace with the Mets.

C.J. Abrams SS | WAS
Nationals' CJ Abrams: Slides to ninth spot
Abrams will start at shortstop and bat ninth in Tuesday's game against the Athletics, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.
The Nationals aren't yet ready to pull the plug on Abrams as their everyday shortstop, but the 21-year-old rookie hasn't fared as well as Washington had hoped when they called him up from Triple-A Rochester on Aug. 15. After batting just .136 with no walks and a 26.7 percent strikeout rate in 12 games since his promotion, Abrams will be moved down in the order after previously slotting between the sixth and eighth spots in the lineup.

Jose Barrero SS | BAL
Reds' Jose Barrero: Sitting again Tuesday
Barrero isn't in the starting lineup Tuesday against the Cardinals.
This marks consecutive games on the bench for Barrero, who has gone 4-for-33 with no extra-base hits in his last 10 contests. Kyle Farmer will start at shortstop Tuesday while Alejo Lopez mans third base.

Oneil Cruz CF | PIT
Pirates' Oneil Cruz: Delivers three-run blast
Cruz went 1-for-4 with a walk and a three-run home run Monday against the Brewers.
Cruz took Corbin Burnes deep in the fifth inning to tally his 11th home run of the season. He's still in the midst of an extended slump, as he's hit only .163 with a 42.9 percent strikeout rate across his last 14 starts -- including Monday. Even so, he's shown signs of being an excellent source of power and speed, delivering six stolen bases in addition to his 11 homers across 56 games this season.

Brewers' Willy Adames: Knocks three hits
Adames went 3-for-5 with two runs scored and an RBI in Monday's 7-5 win over the Pirates.
Adames singled three times Monday, including an RBI base knock in the third inning to open the game's scoring. The 26-year-old shortstop is now 22-for-74 (.297) with 21 RBI in 17 games against the Pirates. Adames has posted seven multi-hit games this month, resulting in a .274 average and 14 runs scored through 25 contests.

Reds' Jose Barrero: Takes seat Monday

Luke Williams 2B | ATL
Marlins' Luke Williams: Returns to bench
Williams is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Dodgers, Paige Leckie of MLB.com reports.
Williams will be back in his usual bench role for the series finale after he struck out in all three of his at-bats while starting in left field during Sunday's 8-1 loss. The 26-year-old is expected to see occasional starts down the stretch, with most of his opportunities coming against left-handed pitching.
