Marcano was recalled to the Padres from Triple-A El Paso on Sunday.
This will mark Marcano's third stint with the major-league club this season. He's recorded six hits and four walks in 33 big-league plate appearances thus far. Right-handed pitcher Aaron Northcraft was sent to El Paso in a corresponding roster move.

Cardinals' Tommy Edman: Crosses plate twice Saturday
Edman went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs in a win over the Diamondbacks on Saturday.
Edman played the table-setting role out of the top of the order extremely well, extending his on-base streak to 11 games in the process. The 26-year-old has been stellar across the board during that stretch, producing a .326/.385/.543 slash line with four doubles, two home runs and nine RBI across 52 plate appearances.

Reds' Jose Garcia: Changes name from Garcia to Barrero
Garcia changed his last name to Barrero on Saturday, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.
The name change honors his mother, who passed away recently from a COVID-related illness. Barrero is currently away from his teammates at Double-A Chattanooga due to her death but started the season quite well, hitting .323 with four homers in 16 games.

Rockies' Trevor Story: Slated for additional testing
Story (elbow) will undergo additional testing Monday or Tuesday, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.
Story was placed on the 10-day injured list with right elbow inflammation Saturday. Manager Bud Black said that Story's elbow injury is similar to the one he had in 2018, but the issue isn't as serious this time. He'll likely test his elbow next week, and a return timetable could be established based on how he feels afterward. Brendan Rodgers should serve as the primary shortstop in Story's absence.

Rockies' Trevor Story: Placed on 10-day injured list
Story was placed on the 10-day injured list with right elbow inflammation Saturday, retroactive to May 28.
Story left Thursday's nightcap against the Mets as a "precautionary measure," but he'll now miss additional time after he was diagnosed with inflammation. Brendan Rodgers should serve as the primary shortstop in Story's absence while infielder Matt Adams (shin) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move. It's not yet clear whether Story will be forced to spend more than the minimum of 10 days on the injured list.

Story was removed from Game 2 of Thursday's doubleheader as a precautionary measure due to arm tightness. It's not yet clear whether he could return in Saturday's nightcap, but Brendan Rodgers will take over at shortstop and bat sixth in Game 1.

Edman went 1-for-3 with a single, a run, an RBI and a stolen base in Friday's 8-6 win over the Diamondbacks.
Edman began the contest with a walk, stole second and subsequently came around to score the game's first run. He later picked up an RBI with a single in the fourth frame. Edman is tied for third in MLB with 10 thefts on the campaign and is contributing a steady .274/.329/.392 slash line across 231 plate appearances.

Braves' Ehire Adrianza: Set to work in left field
Manager Brian Snitker said Adrianza is expected to play left field on a daily basis in the absence of Marcell Ozuna (fingers), Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.
Ozuna is set to be sidelined for at least six weeks with two fractured fingers, and Adrianza will receive first crack at replacing him in left field. The 31-year-old has been working as a utility man and has a .239/.278/.437 slash line with three homers in 80 plate appearances this season, but he'll now take on an everyday role. Johan Camargo was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett to fill the utility role for Atlanta.

Marlins' Miguel Rojas: Shifts to injured list
Rojas (finger) was placed on the 10-day injured list Friday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
The 32-year-old suffered a dislocated left index finger Thursday, and it was only a matter of time before he shifted to the injured list. Rojas is eligible to be activated June 8, though it's unclear how long he's expected to be sidelined. Jazz Chisholm (ankle) and Jose Devers should work at shortstop in his absence for Miami.
