  • Jon Berti 3B | CHC

Marlins' Jon Berti: Swipes first bag

Berti went 2-for-4 with a run scored, an RBI and a stolen base in Tuesday's win over the Orioles.

Getting the start at second base and hitting second, Berti wasted little time in showcasing his wheels, beating out an infield hit in the first inning and then swiping second for his first steal of the year. The 30-year-old utility player should get regular at-bats for the Marlins while the team's roster recovers from its COVID-19 outbreak, so after amassing 17 steals in 73 games last season, Berti will have plenty of chances to add to his 2020 total.

  • Nick Ahmed SS | TEX

Diamondbacks' Nick Ahmed: Reaches base twice

Ahmed went 1-for-3 with a walk in Tuesday's loss against the Astros.

Ahmed is having a disappointing season, as he has recorded just three hits -- all singles -- in his first 34 at-bats, good for a paltry .088 average. He shouldn't be targeted in any formats until he finds a way to turn things around.

  • Corey Seager SS | TEX

Dodgers' Corey Seager: Slated to play shortstop Wednesday

Seager (quad) is expected to return to the field Wednesday after starting at designated hitter each of the last two games, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Seager missed Sunday's contest with a left quadriceps injury, but he has been well enough to play as the team's designated hitter Monday and Tuesday. Manager Dave Roberts indicated that Seager is likely to return to his customary shortstop position Wednesday against San Diego. Seager has enjoyed a strong start to the season, slashing .356/.408/.644 with three home runs and seven RBI.

  • Miguel Rojas SS | LAD

Marlins' Miguel Rojas: Placed on injured list

Rojas (illness) was placed on the injured list ahead of Tuesday's game against Baltimore, Jared Diamond of The Wall Street Journal reports.

Rojas was among the 13 Marlins placed on the injured list ahead of the team's return to play after a COVID-19 outbreak. Rojas was reported to be one of the players who tested positive for COVID-19, so he likely was placed on the COVID-19 IL. Rojas got off to an incredibly hot start in the opening series against the Phillies, going 7-for-10 with a homer and a steal, but it's not clear how long he'll be sidelined.

  • Paul DeJong SS | DET

Cardinals' Paul DeJong: Lands on COVID-19 injured list

DeJong was placed on the COVID-19 injured list Tuesday.

DeJong is one of many Cardinals who have been caught up in the team's coronavirus outbreak. He'll be eligible to return to action once he's symptom-free and produces a pair of negative tests. Whether that happens before the Cardinals are allowed to return to the field remains to be seen. The team's next scheduled game is currently set for Friday against the Cubs.

  • Orlando Arcia SS | MIN

Brewers' Orlando Arcia: Heads to bench

Arcia is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the White Sox.

Arcia sits for just the second time this season. Eric Sogard slides over to shortstop, opening up third base for Brock Holt.

  • Paul DeJong SS | DET

Cardinals' Paul DeJong: Reveals positive test

DeJong revealed Tuesday that he is part of the group of Cardinals who have tested positive for COVID-19.

The Cardinals are in the middle of a week-long stretch without any games as they try to determine how far their coronavirus outbreak has spread. DeJong will remain out until he's symptom-free and tests negative for the virus twice. Backup infielder Edmundo Sosa has also tested positive, but the Cardinals can slide Tommy Edman from third base to shortstop and start Matt Carpenter at the hot corner if they return to play before DeJong is ready to go.

  • Corey Seager SS | TEX

Dodgers' Corey Seager: Another two-hit performance

Seager went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Monday's 5-4 loss against the Padres.

Seager was the only Dodger who recorded more than one hit in this game, but that is becoming a trend for the shortstop -- he is currently riding a six-game hitting streak and has recorded multi-hit performances in each of his last three contests. He has hit safely in all but one game this season, going 15-for-40 (.375) in his first 40 at-bats.

  • Chris Owings SS | LAD

Rockies' Chris Owings: Knocks first home run

Owings went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and two runs scored in Monday's 7-6 win over San Francisco.

Owings clocked his first home run of the season in the eighth inning to give the Rockies a 7-4 lead. In 18 at-bats this season, the utilityman owns an .868 OPS with five runs scored.

  • Corey Seager SS | TEX

Dodgers' Corey Seager: Back in lineup Monday

Seager (quad) is starting as the designated hitter and batting sixth Monday against the Padres.

Seager wasn't able to suit up for Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks due to a left quadriceps injury, but he'll be healthy enough to serve as the designated hitter for the series opener against San Diego. It's unclear when the 26-year-old will be able to return to the field, but Chris Taylor will handle the duties at shortstop Monday.
